The mosasaur if your on ascended can be found in astreos valguero the island and the center in the deepest parts I recommend a light pet

Besides the giga this is the hardest dinosaur to tame, note you will need a lot of narcotics and food. Before you begin the tame I recommend at least 2 to 3 full scuba suits for obvious reasons. You need to have at least a Ichthyosaurs or Megalodon, so you can actually move around and find a decent one. Once you find one you want to tame simply start shooting at it with the crossbow. Now right when you get his attention swim up, you should notice the Mosasaurs stops following you after a certain height. The Mosasurs cannot go higher than wherever it stopped. So simply park your water Dino above it and keep shooting it. If it runs off keep doing the same thing over and over again. Sooner or later you will take him down. Good job! Then simply use this app to figure out how many narcotics/food you will need to tame it. Once it is done enjoy your king of the water.

All mosasaurs have a certain depth limit. If you find a mosasaur, lure it to a cliff side and let it get close, once it’s near you but not in bite range etc, start going up the cliff side until it loses agro. Once you find the sweet spot and the mosasaur loses agro, go down a bit to get in the depth limit range to re agro the mosasaur. It can’t attack you if you are just out of the depth limit range etc then start shooting it to knock it out. Just beware of other nasties 👌

On mobile they can be found in deep water around carno island herb island and artic ocean then you pretty much need a water mount dolphins plesiosaur’s or megladons are recommended and you need sucba gear or else you will drown they have a shallow limit so tranq it and it will chase you untill shallow limit then it will not go shallower if it swims back down do the same thing agian keep doing this until it’s knocked out then prime fish works best but normal prime meat will work too and bring around 300 or 400 bio toxin or narcotics depending what level it is then wait a bit and done congrats

-Ascendant Crossbow

-Lots of Bio or Narcotics

-Mosa Saddle (Platform Saddle or Normal Saddle or TEK Saddle)

-Mount (To keep you safe from any Electrophourus, Angler,Euripyupturid,Megalodon, and Jelly-Fish) (Idk how to spell Eyripyupturid lol)

-Scuba Gear ( So you wont drown)

Alr lets start!

For Mobile:

Step 1: Find the Mosasaur (Mosas are found deep under the sea, they are uncommon in the Red Obelisk sea's)

Step 2: If you find your self a high lvl mosa then get ready (Make sure your mount has good turning radius like a Megalodon since they have a little good turning radius)

Step 3: KO your underwater Giga! (Like a plesio Mosas stay bellow since they have a height limit so if you go up its height limit then it wont attack you, just make sure no Electrophpurus or Angler and Megalodons and Jelly-Fish come in your way)

Step 4: Once everything is cleared and your mosa is KO"d feed it Quetz Kibble and put the bio or narcotics in its inventory. (Fact about ARK: Quetzals are the easiest creatures to farm)

Step 5: Just wait and keep clearing the area when more enemies come.

Wohoo!!! You tamed a mosasaur 🐋🐳🥳🥳!

Now lets start with its abilities! It has only 2 abilities! Which is sad but still cool!

TEK SADDLE ABILITY:

ABILITY 1-The Mosa can shoot underwater plasma guns just like every creature in ARK that has a TEK Saddle. (Sadly this only works on PC and consle not in mobile :'( )

PLATFORM SADDLE ABILITY

ABILITY 2-You can build a small base on its back or create a underwater fortress to make it rule the seas in PVP

Now for the Disabilities when wild and tamed! It has 2!

Disability 1 (WILD)- The mosa has a height limit now i know this is cool but for the mosa its not lol.

Disability 2 (TAMED)- Even if the mosa has good Melee, Stam, And HP It has bad turning radius which means anglers and electrophourus and Jellyfish and megalodons go in its belly and tail so it wont attack the opponents its also same with plesio.

Getting enough quetzal kibble to tame one of these bad boys can be hard to come by. Starve the mosa, and have sheep waiting at the surface, you can kill them for mutton to feed the mosa.

Get 250 tranq arrow and 3 crossbow I recommend using Lazarus chowder too. Go deep down with any aquatic mount except for basilo because it takes damage in deep area in ocean. Next find a mosa recommend taming low level it is faster to tame. Next when you find a mosa shoot it with tranq arrow it will take maybe 126 shots on mosa. When it's knocked out maintaine its torpor with bio toxin or narc. The kibble for mosa is the extordanary kibble. The egg are extra large egg for the extordanary kibble. Also cooked prime meat can go effectively to 6%. However Raw meat will take half as long. You would need 450 narc for the mosasaur. Put the food of your choice and narc or bio toxin in it inventory. Maintaine it's torpor so it doesn't wake up until its tamed. If this was helpful please like on it. The ability of the mosasaur is a powerful bite. The fact about the mosa is its bite is more powerful than the rex. Their saddle can be learned a level 78 and crafted in Smith with hide fiber and metal ingots. Best way to Tame a Mosa or at least what I do is. . .

I hit an ammonite and with the agro effect the Mosa should follow me to the surface, once the effect of the ammonite passes the Mosa couldn't return to the water and be stuck on the surface and u can shoot him easy from the Coast

This works with other animals like plesi, dunkleo, etc, u can even kill Alpha mosa with this trick.

I think everyone knows this but still reminding that mosa has a water depth limit which it can't cross and come more higher in wild.... just use that to tame and can stay closer to him

There are few ways to tame this sea giga. Let me explain them all:

1. Just damn battling: Get a fast water mount and literally kite Mosa as you smack its face with your torpor weapon.

2. Trapping: You need to create a trap like a cell. Get a Benemoth dino gateway and a gate, some foundations, and pillars that Mosa can’t go through. Make it follow you into the cage, then get out from the gap that pillars created and shut the door. After that, knock it out and feed it.

3. (and also my favorite) Ammonite Strategy:

Punch an ammonite. It will give you the rage debuff and every creature will chase you down, including the Mosasaurus. So the Mosasaur has a limit on depth. What i mean is that it can’t go higher than a set limit, since it’s a deepsea creature. But when the rage is on, it will ignore the limit and follow you even to shallows. Get out of the water and wait until your rage wears off. The Mosasaur won’t be able to move since it has broken it’s limits and can’t go back. Hit it with your torpor weapon and knock it out.

4. Going Up and Down:

As i mentioned earlier, the Mosasaur has a set limit on depth. Hit the Mosasaur, then let it swim up to you, of course swim away whilst doing that, also hit it while you’re swimming away. After it has reached the limits, it will stop chasing you. When it does, go deeper and hit it again. Go this couple of times until it gets knocked out.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Don’t forget to kill the surrounding creatures like Plesiosaurs, Tusos, Electropus and Anglers since it can attack you and ruin the taming.

only legends tame a mosa with raw meat and slingshot

There is crystal cave on Ragnarok around 12,23ish where you can trap the mosa, I use a ichy to trap them as they are small enuf to get in the sallow area but the mosa can’t so they get stuck👍... hope this helps

Honestly this Dino isn’t that hard to tame, just make sure you bring a couple hundred narcotics and a fast swimmer, like a sarco. I would definitely recommend scuba gear, but as long as your oxygen is pretty high or you have a fast swimmer you should be completely fine. Good luck taming!

I've found that the easiest and fastest way to knock one out is to get its attention and swim through a gap in those large underwater stone formations,it will follow you and get stuck allowing you to shoot it as many times as needed

Me and wife found a 145 x mosa stuck. We got the taming boat to get it. Took almost 7 crossbows and 700+ tranq arrows. Only other person w mosa on the server caught a lvl 60 lol

just tried taming one with tuso cause I've seen just about everyone say that you can grab it with squid and dismount to shoot it and it didn't work, I tried same thing on multiple other creatures and my mosa I tamed b4 squid and squibwerb kept letting go of them everytime I dismount. it's better to bring it up to a shallow area where it can't go back down to deep water like the coast of main island on lost island at the south or desert coast, they will swim forward a trying to go down until they hit a wall can't move anymore and you can safely dismount and ko them without chasing them throughout the entire ocean(what I did for first mosa) or them attacking you. do bring more arrows/darts than app says my lvl 135 did not go down with 14 arrows

I’m the guy who said if I got 100 ups in tuso I would do mosa so I am

1 locate a mosa. I found many on deep sea near herb island

2 knock it out by letting it fallow you until it imagoes then shot with toxant arrow repeat

3 feed prime meat or kibble I tamed one fine with prime meat and soothing balm

So one day me and my mosa named fishy, went to kill some megaladons then a bunch of plesiosaurs and electrophuris things killed it. I got my

1232 damage sword and went on a rampage. Then I tamed a size 9.4 fish. Yayy. I named it mosa

If you have the patience, grab it with a tuso and drag it to shallow water so it loses agro. Tuso grab slowly inflicts torpor so just sit there and prosper.

Use a squid to bring it to the surface it doesn't attack when close to surface
