I shot it with a tranq arrow and trapped it by building walls on fence foundations around it. When it wome up, i fed it berries. Worked great for me.

If you want to tame a mesopithecus you need to sneak behind it and to berries without scaring it by getting to close

Sneak up to it when you see it pull out any kibble

or anything else that I would eat and then tame it passively

If attacked they will lose all their taming progress. I found that out the hard way. I was taming a level 14 at 80% progress, then a dilo spit on it

Hands down my favourite companion. Slows enemies and inflicts torpor by throwing poop when on your shoulder, listens to commands when on your shoulder. Handy to escaping troublesome dinos or slowing annoying tames like the quetz. Only half his weight is added to you when he's on your shoulder, I keep my trapping gear in him like a few gates, pillars, bear traps etc and also a couple sleeping bags and tents incase things get rough. Stick a tracker on him and you can leave him in a 1x1 structure to refind downed tames etc, handy to keep an extra tracker at base in case you die he'll be with your body so you can easily find it again. Whistle on a bush and he'll collect berries. Collects meat and hide too but I'm not sure how, Just keep seeing it appear in his inventory. Can wear a helmet for additional protection and fun masks too! I put all his skill points into hp and weight. Warns you of danger too!

You can no longer Tame them the old fashion way. I don’t know what the new way is but you can’t Creep up behind them and feed little bit little.

MINE JUST DIED. what a bug 😮‍💨 tried taming a level 120 and the health dropped instead of its hunger.

These monkeys are one of the easiest shoulder pets to get all you have to do is sneek up to them with berries or kibble in your hotbar and feed them and they have a special ability to throw poop at you enemy's and disable the sprint for a couple minutes while takeing damage.

My monkey fought off some raptors that attacked me randomly. It also killed a trike and stego. Up if you think these little monkeys are OP. By the way, I decided to give my monkey a chitin helmet and skin the helmet with a rex bone helmet skin.

Can only unlock wood or thatch doors and does not work on pve servers

Perfect on pvp servers. They can lockpick doors from the inside if only they can fit and also when it is on your shoulder it can throw poop at enemies and blind them and can stop them from sprinting so it is good for taming and fighting.

Fight a glow tail with this and u get Godzilla vs kong

Make sure you switch to turret mode so they throw poop, otherwise they just sit there.

To tame one crouch up to it and feed it mejoberries I think rare flowers and rare mushroom can work it is a passive tame so u don't knock it out it is a shoulder mount 😉 very funny it uses poop to slow dinos down

I hope that's enough for now and apparently u can knock it out and feed it dodo kibble in ark mobile survival evolved I am not sure if it works for other types of ark
