Easy tame with a baryonyx since you can ride and shoot at the same time.

Just lure it to the shore and shot tranqs I'm shore you'll get it ;)

All I did was hover my quetz above shoot from the quets, then grapple down to feed,however there was some kind of barrier that prevented my grapplegoing lower than the surface, y ou can get around this my going as far down as possible, then back up and quickly hold to realease line lower, this will make you jump and go fartherdown

I usually use my high level starco (lv 130) to clear out the area then I knock it out from the shallows. They long agro range some careful to remember which one is high level... I'm actually typing this right after I knocked out lv 108!

Make yourself a longbow with plenty of tranqarrows, then build a big enough cage going from shore into the water with trapdoor and ladder close to the Dino gate, build a small platform to shoot from. Get it to chase you and wait for it to come thru the gate, then close the gates to trap it and fire on it till it K.O

I just used a frog and swam around it with a crossbow and tranq arrows

How to tame a Megalodon in 5 easy steps.

First, get a crossbow, tranq arrows, a good level Ichthyosaurus, your preferred food, and some narcotics.

Next, locate a Megalodon and kill all other dangerous creatures in the area including other Megalodons.

Then, circle around it while shooting it with arrows until it falls unconscious and when it does feed it.

Give it narcotics when necessary and now you have tamed a Megalodon.

Tame itchy instead helps in exploring and can easily escape other megs

Tame anything else this unless youre taming like 9 of theses since it has a "Pack" bonus then the dmg is insane

When I first played ark, I was terrified, but I was also interested in them. I’ve always wanted to tame a megalodon and eventually I did manage to tame a megalodon and here’s how first what you’re gonna do is get a crossbow get about I would say 10 to 30 Tranq arrows or maybe more you never know to knock it. Unconscious don’t use a bow and arrow you can’t use that underwater. Your best bet is a crossbow. Get on a high-level creature that you have tamed I used my. Sarco when the megalodon was attacking my. Sarco I continuously shot it with Tranq arrows this is a method I use a lot. Yes it is a very messy method sometimes, but it has worked. It does not work for giganotosaurus’s. Or carcharodontosaurus Titanosaurus and the rhyniognatha

You can also use this taming method with other high-level creatures. You have tamed, but be very careful it might work on mosasaurus‘s this taming method but it has to be a low level

I think if you dont yet have any sea tames, sharks are a good start, and your best bet for getting one is a baryonx or iguanodon. Bary is an obvious choice, but it isn't so easy to find a good one, so on a budget, a high level iguanodon is very underrated and will easily do the job. It is not so fast at sea so upgrade some move speed (you should anyway), but it is a decent fighter, typically with good enough weight and stamina (upgrade health and melee).

OR… a sarco, spino, a thylo, an anky, whatever you have that can swim really, would take out other lower level sharks easily, and then you can tame it with a dolphin.

Step1- get a level max or above baryonyx

Step2- tranq it or club it

Step3- narcotic and spino kibble acquire (if not then prime meat cuz raw meat will take long)

Step4- enjoy !

Bad stamina aggressive sea creatures will stil attack you, i find itchy is a better tame and easier

Required: domesticated and saddled ichthyosaur; bow or crossbow (no gun); toxic arrows or tranquilizer arrows.

get on the ichthyosaur and provoke a megalodon, then move away by pointing the ichthyosaur’s snout in the opposite direction; at this point pull the arrows to the megalodon while he follows you, when he gets too close you move the ichthyosaur at a right distance.

Make sure you’re in an area without too many megalodonts beyond what you want to tame.

I was taming one of these bad boys in the herbie island pool and when i finally got it to torpor run it beached itself but still lived if you know what i mean. Ark logic? Anyways it stopped moving and i figured it was just stuck. make sure to check your taming tracker. Thats why i had a lvl 67 shark instead of 89.(i was new to the game ok?) This was in ASE not ASA.

They are annoying and a mid tame. There are better options. None the less it isn't the worst option. They best in groups. I do suggest taming at least one and determine if you personally like it. Use a harpoon tranq, with something that can destract and tank the Meg.

How to tame a meg:

One have a baryonyx or sarco to swim down there

Two have a cross bow and get close to it with tranqs make sure to have meat

Three wait for your rex of the sea to tame

Four bring it back to your base

Five craft a saddle

Six ride your rex of the sea into battle

Seven feed it fish meat when tamed

Eight build a wall/little pen around it

Nine if you don't build a pen keep a eye on your meg!

Found a glitch in mobile if you double tap with a cross bow you rapid fire arrows. Can be used with traq arrows and shock arrows

How I tamed this guy. Really easy tbh

1. Get Trang darts/arrows and get to a high place with a meg(s) in range

2. Shoot till K.O.Ed

3. Swim up a put meat in inventory

Wait till tamed and name your new sharky baby

Tip’s

Don’t use fish meat like I did, use normal or prime meat

Riding a Itchy helps keep megs calm while you ride it

When playing on the island at easy zone 1, there is a dead end river if your lure it as far back as you can it will get stuck so you can tame it with any trouble.
