if you want to tame a low level megalodon first tame an ichty then lure the meg to shore where it will stop chasing you the. shoot it with tranq arrow from crossbow keep repeating until it knocks out then get your ichty and then and go towards the meg if your beginner use meat or raw fish meat regular meat is better btw after feeding the meg the right amount just wait until it tames and you got your self a meg. side note your meg is low level you can level it up or use the low level meg to tame a higher level one and this trick also works with higher level megs but just harder.

Using net guns is a good way to prevent a wild Dino from attacking you when attempting to knock out.

When I tamed my megalodon I stood just in the water on the beach and was able to hit it with my crossbow drawing it in closer and then used my boat and went over to it game it my raw meat and it was mine in no time.

To the person who kills megalodon with tranq arrows: try to wait five seconds in between shots because the health can drop before torpor, and before it passes out it dies. It only takes a couple arrows to knock it out just watch torpor and health.

For those who can get the crossbow, get a crossbow, tranq arrows, some raw meat (its more efficient than fish meat), knock one out, put that meat in its inventory, then just wait. Make sure there are no other threats nearby, which in this case, you'll have to bring some stone arrows as well.

Make it follow you to shore then run on to land then tranq it up, same works for all ocean easily agroed creatures

By the time you are able to get a meg saddle crossbows shouldn't be a problem.Get yourself some tranq arrows and find a meg which gets too close too the shore . Shoot it till it gets KOed and feed it raw fish(faster). Thats it. Keep it in a safe spot or it will get killed by jellyfish.

The sea around herbivore island is swarming with them(perhaps an explanation for why the herbivores stay there and the carnivores stay out?)so if you want a high level one look there trap your favourites and kill the rest they drop quite a lot of fish so you won't have to worry about taming food eather

From my expirience, on Ragnarok they spawn a lot by the jungle spawns.

Build a diving cage on the side of a raft and make the sides of it door frames. Always add a floor to the cage or this will not work. Also, you don’t need a roof to the cage. This always works for me.

If your looking for a quick way to get across the sea. This is not it, their slow and stamina runs out fast. Believe it or not their very vunerable and other megs will still attack. Their turning radius isn't great either. Your better off with a Sarco.

You CAN build a trap-boat, using giant trap doors, as the entry point.
