They are a classic knock out you can use meat or berry's they can also swim very well

Basic kibble for taming guys. Knocks out pretty easily with shocking tranqs.

Get a female dodo army to make eggs then kibble then…….maewing time

Special controls (Xbox) for maewing:

R3 whilst in air(sprint button) to glide

Glide onto ground equals sliding, ground-gliding

Will lay basic-Exceptional eggs (Basic Egg Exceptional Egg)

Will nurse children and imprint them automatically (pair with egg incubator for best results)

Transgender, meaning you don’t have to get a male or female, just get two

It’s movement is insanely fast, good for goin around places

What do the maywing saddles do because I want to tame one

Let me tell you all you need to know about maewings.

Maewings are super useful for travel since the can jump incredibly high and then glide away, this can reach insane speeds, great for travelling.

It also has the ability to nurse babies with then saddle and feed them milk too. To trap it you must put 3 billboards in a squared sorta shape, then put three pillars and four Woden roofs on the pillars. Then eat a rare flower to have the creature aggro you and go in the trap, finish putting the last billboard to complete the square and tranq it, you shouldn’t need any narcotics if you feed it meat. I tamed a level 26 using 2 primitive crossbow shots

How to tame a maewing:if it is a low level 14or below you can just use a bow and tranq darts it might fly away but not far just wait two minutes then put any type of meat or basic kibble nothing else

Best pvp tame.

This is a super easy method to tame them without the net projectiles. I tamed this guy on fjordur on asgard they spawn all around the realm. So you will need a trap that was designed by captain fatdog (you can find it on youtube, he also has a lot of other good traps. You dont need darts you can knock them out easily with a prim crossbow. So for the trap you will also need a rare flower to lure the maewing in because it will run away if you attack it. You can also kibble tame it easily when you are between early and mid game because it needs basic kibble wich can be made with dodo eggs so just tame bunch of female dodos and one male and let em mate because you are gonna get eggs that way faster. For the saddle engram you need to click on the genesis 2 icon on the top right to show gen 2 engrams and its on level 19 so it can be obtained very early. IMPORTANT: I found it easily on asgard because I have cave flying enabled so I could go with my ptera around, Desmodus is the only flyer that can fly in caves normaly but taming one isnt easy like taming a maewing so you would need a good land mount there. Your other option is going into the redwoods on the northeast of the regular map (midgard) but going into redwoods without a good pump is basically suicide because thylas exist there and are waiting for you.

Lost island is the easiest place to tame them. Load of ovis right by the maewings. Also they are in open area so easy to locate

These Little brat are Smart enough to avoid Bear traps so consider using a ballista ans chain Bolt to tame one.

IT took me half an hour to tame one with the trap

when having a tame to keep up with him no net is needed but if you want to make it easier bring a some nets just in case and tranq darts should just about make it or tranq arrows if darts aren’t available for you atm

I have ways to tame

1, use bear traps

2, set up a cadge

3, folow around till stops then place 2 tents over its entire body so it cant fly away

4 , or if it is under the level of 20 youll nock-em out with only one trank dart

Instead of having to use net projectiles, a much easier way (and cheaper for starters) is to just pick it up with a flyer and have tribemember pump it with tranqs until it gets knocked out.
