If you plan to tame a maewing a good idea is to kill a sheep you will get lots of mutton from it. It will make taming a maewing speedy quick because mutton is the best taming food for maewings!

Maewings are kind of easy to tame. And there really really usful to. Their easier to find on gen 2 and easier to tame since gen two is basically easy Ark. They also spawn in lost island but harder to tame and if you try to tame one in lost island your just making it harder on yourself to be honest

The best Mother award goes to this Dino. She takes care of Babies ( not even her own) just make sure they are within its nursing range and put the appropriate food inside its inventory. The rest will be history best paired with tek feeding trough, when babies reach juvenile they can eat next to trough. Super breeding made easy.

You can turn on feeding and they will feed babies. NOT JUST THE ONES IN THE BASKET. THE ONES IN THE RANGE OF THE FEEDING AREA ON THE FLOOR TOO. BABIES IN THE FEEDING AREA. NO MORE HAND FEEDING.

To tame a Maewing I would bet projectile it if you can and then tranquilize it and tame it. Maewing dare Fantastic flyers being able to dash and glide at very high speeds so they are excellent at stealing wyvern eggs. Next I will be doing one of the following: griffin, deinonychus, amargasaurus, sinomacrops, dinopithecus or wyvern

I haven’t encountered one but they are big and really useful when traveling I have on on modded console and it is really useful

Cheap & easy tame:

Trap it with 3 Wooden Billboards in form of a triangle around it.

Place 2, eat 1 rare flower, let it chase you to the billboards and place the last one close behind it.

It can't jump out.

No matter where you are in terms of progress these guys are always gonna be one of the most useful tames you can have, they’re amazing for travelling on land, through air, water and even space. They also lay all types of eggs so they’re great for kibble.

Can maewings be used on ab?

I can't find the answer anywhere :p

If you have the build space build billboards in a triangle very close to maewing to prevent escape and minimal trap building. If you can use the net gun then build its easier but free placing is also viable.

If you are hatching eggs and raising baby’s hat the maewig because it automatically feeds them

Babies dont need to be carried by maowing for it to feed babies, Just go hot wheel and enable feeding to trough and lvl up nursing range and your good, 3000in nursing range is 10x as big area as a regular feeding trough so No worries if babies is near or not as Long as your nursing range lvl is around 3000% standard was 1200% mine

When breeding maewings you only need 1 to be able too breed but it gives you the 1 egg and not 2 it would normally if both was breed able.
