These things are also breed able and give random eggs even at low levels.

The Maewing is the best breeding dino in Ark! Hands down! It doesn’t matter what level of Maewing you get! Just pop a saddle on the Platypus, put some food in its inventory, enable feeding and boom! You don't need to worry about your Babies starving anymore! Also as an added bonus although the Maewing is Genderless, you can still somehow breed it! (Don’t ask me how that works because i have no clue.) and when you do breed Maewings, you get double the eggs! Also the Maewing has very fast mobility and is super easy to tame being the only Genesis Part 2 exclusive creature needing a classic tranq tame! 10/10 best breeding dino in Ark.

I figured out after haveing babies die despite the maewings nursing range the trough symbol was not actually on the dinos. Bring them really close to maewing and they should pop the symbol and begin feeding. Some sort of bug they are not useing their full range like intended.

Maewings have no gender but are still breedable and as a result two eggs will pop out each breed. This makes mutating them if you want a cool one much easier while also making it easier to get types of kibble.

In fjordur there are many in asgard as I have seen almost 10 above level 100 in the last hour

I used a net gun for my first one got it yesterday it was lv 48 got to lvl 84 around that and it was a two shot with a crossbow

You can tranq them right after netting them if traps are not working out.

On the Fjordur map in the pond 25:85, for some reason they spawn but glitch and get stuck underwater. They are super easy to tame underwater with just a crossbow since they can't fly and escape.

Probably the best creature for travelling. Good stam&weight, fast flyer&swimmer and can even jump on water and glide

Can carry anywhere from 1 to 3, and possibly 4, baby creatures. It can carry them on the ground or in flight, as it carries the baby creatures in baskets that part of its saddle.

Would not recommend for stealing wyvern eggs as they can not gain altitude which makes it hard to escape the wyvern trench.

One of my favorite creatures, insanely useful for several reasons. One u can fly at the speed of light. Two it actually does a good amount of damage with the belly flop. Three it’s good in the water . four it’s fast on land. And give you can put babe in saddle and fly around map for no apparent reason.

I want to breed these for mutations

Just get 1 or 2 big bear traps place them next to each other then put giant bee honey in the trap the maewing should come and eat the honey and get trapped then nock out I literally tamed one when I was at level 30 first thing I tamed.

How to make a easy trap

Place billboard around the maewing like you would a procoptadon to trap it. Warning these things move around a lot when they are trapped so you have to place the billboards fast. Then make 2 or 3 pillars and place them right beside the trap and stack the pillars on top of each other. Then get 1 or 2 ceilings and place 1 on the pillar and the other should snap to the pillar and be over top of the maewing trapped in the billboards. The ceilings prevent the maewing from jumping up and flying away once you hit it. These structures can be whatever material you want because the maewing won’t break them. You can club the maewing out. Ps I do this on official so I know this works.
