A good way to tame this creature is to lure it,if u have any items especially meat lure it with that. it will swoop giving u a window to bolas and then trank it.

Throw at fish to bring prime fish meat. Throw at dodo to bring prime meat. Great little guy to have around if you don't have kibble to spare

This is the ultimate combo. Pego, troodons and seagulls

If you want to loot a guy without leaving a trace , here is how you do it.

1: pego problems, send a squadron of pegos to pick pocket your target just to piss them off.

2: seagull stealing, next send your seagull fleet to steal their items while they are chasing the pegos. If you are lucky, the seagulls will take the item they are using or the ammunition for the item

3: troodon terror, lastly, so they don’t know what happened, send your troodons to put them to sleep with their venom attack, they won’t know what hit them and you will walk away with all of their loot, if you are feeling like they have more stuff on them, grab narcotics and put them to sleep even more, then search his body. And boom free loot for the minimal price of lost tames. Hope this helps you pick pocket the alpha tribe!

The fish they kill seem to tame Hespiornis faster as well.

I get stealing and eating meat and berries, but CRYSTAL JARS AND CANTEENS!? How does it not immediately die trying to swallow that?

They steal your crap like a pegomastax and a pidgion had a baby

like rl seagulls they can steal your lunch. and your master craft sword which by luck you found in purple loot drop.

Step one : tame one

Step two : get it to hunt and kill a creature that it can pick up like a dodo or lystro, fish work too. If done right the corpse gets a glowing effect.

Step three : harvest the corpse and enjoy easy prime meat or prime fish meat

Just tamed one a lv20 took 1 tranq dart while it landed. Fed it fish meat an some prime fish. Took about 20mins

When you knock it out it will be set on hunt. So don't freak out when it's missing right after you tamed it because it's probably hunting things for you.

They are the sole reason why you should not build your thatch house on the beach. They will grab your items and grab your smaller Dinos. RIP: Larry the Lystro. 😫

Darn near impossible to hit. They never hold still or even land (that I've seen). Obnoxious little buggers that kill all the fish and dodos.

Aka jerkbirds. Managed to tame one once, never did anything it said they were supposed to do. Up this if you want to watch them be torn apart by random pteras or swallowed by the dozens from a megaladon.

(Remember, this is a tip for pc players only, I have no knowledge about ark nintendo switch or xbox)

How to tame a very annoying flying attacking seagull:

1. Grab a bola (get more than 3 if your aim is trash)

2. Get a club, bow, tranq arrows and narcotics (these guys have extremely low health even on high level ones so i recommend you use the club)

3. These are piscivores, so bring fish meat or prime fish meat (regular kibble recommended if you are taming a high level one)

4. Bola it and use club or maybe tranqs I guess XD

5. Put the food in its inventory and feed it narcotics (the torpor drain is quite slow but these guys don't have a lot of torpor themselves and their food drain rate is really slow)

6. You now have an ichthy! Very useful on pvp servers btw
