A hyena’s scars.
Chapter eleven.
Zora awoke the next morning to shouting and howling. “My baby! My poor baby!” A mother cried. “Another hyenadon has been killed! Where is Zora!” A tribe member roared. They all fell silent and looked at her. “Where have you been?” One of the tribe leaders asked. “I just woke up.” Zora said. He scoffed. “Likely story.”
“Search the caves….again for this murderer.” Said Zora’s father. “And Zora you stay right there.” Her father said.
Zora sat down on her haunches while the others searched. Axel walked up. “Hi.” He said. Zora sighed. “Hello.” Axel cocked his head thinking. “We need to figure out what she wants from you and we can come to some kind of bargain.” Axel said. “She said I should know what she wants. Why can’t she just tell me?!” Zora exclaimed. “Everyone thinks I’m naïve.” A hyenadon walked up. “You are.” They turned to see….Roxy. “Shh, don’t say anything or the first one who leaps to action will be dead.” Roxy said, her body tensed with anticipation.

Chapter ten.
Zora entered her cave room to find her family. “Where have you been?” Her father asked. “I was in a field close by.” Zora said. “We’re you with anyone?” Her mother asked. Zora nodded. “Yes, I was with another hyaendon.” They sighed gratefully. “What is it?” Zora asked. “Another hyaendon was killed, this time it’s stomach ripped out.” Her father said. “Ew.” Zora remarked, disgusted. “So that’ll give us evidence that I didn’t make up Roxy?” Zora said. They nodded. “We have proof now.” Her mother said. Zora nodded thankful she was not to blame.
Roxy paced back and forth. She had waited year after year until she was sure Zora was ready. She knew what she wanted she just had to get Zora to understand. And now Zora had unlisted the help of this…Axel. Roxy chuckled. “Like he would be much help.”she thought. Now it was time for some blood to spill. She grinned evilly. She crept through the dark cave, finally coming to a sleeping tiny hyaendon. He lay beside his mother but she was fast asleep, by the time Roxy had finished with him no one would hear his cries. She dug her teen into his neck, killing him immediately. Blood seeped through her teeth. She released him. The taste of blood was so… flavorful. She smiled.

Chapter nine.
“And how do we do that?” Axel asked. Zora shrugged. “I guess we’ll just have to figure out a way, Roxy said she wanted something…” Zora said. “What?” Axel asked. Zora shrugged again. “No idea.” Axel sighed. “This might prove more difficult than I expected.” He said.
They headed back to the village. “I gotta head home.” Zora said. “Do you want to meet me tomorrow?” Zora asked. Axel grinned. “Sure.” He said.
Sorry if this was a short chapter! I’ll be posting the next chapter soon!

Chapter three.
Zora lay on the ground unconscious. Then she woke up. She heard something sniffing her. She started. In front of her was a dark colored hyenadon with reddish orange eyes. Her face was scarred terribly, one eye blank white. Zora let out a short yell then went quiet. The strange hyenadon snorted. “Weak.” She growled. “Pathetic.” “W-who are you?” Zora asked. The hyenadon sneered. “You’ll figure that out in time but for now…you can me Roxy.” She said. “What do you want?” Zora asked. Roxy just sneered at her. “You should have figured that out so I’ll give you time…and until you give me what I want well… you’ll see.” She took her claw and nongingerly cut Zora’s face. Zora cried out in pain then blinked and…Roxy was gone. Zora stumbled to her feet and limped toward the direction of their mountain that had all the caves that their hyenadon tribe lived in.

Chapter five.
Shock. “What?” Zora asked. “Honey there is no other hyenadon village for miles.” “And there isn’t any hyenadon called Roxy in our village.” Zora’s mother said. “Mother, I’m not crazy! I saw her!” Zora shouted. “I’m not saying you’re lying, you probably were just daydreaming after you hit your head.” Her mother said calmly. Zora’s anger faded. “That’s probably true.” Zora said. Her mother smiled. “Now lay down and get some sleep. I myself need some.” Zora watched as her mother trotted to the room next door in the cave and laid down. Zora’s eyes became heavy and she fell asleep.
Zora was dreaming, she was sure of it. She watched as a dark hyenadon that looked suspiciously like Roxy, move around the sleeping hyenadons in a cave. Roxy moved quickly and quietly dodging sleeping bodies. Finally she stopped. In front of her was an older hyenadon. Zora realized to late what Roxy was about to do. Zora opened her mouth to scream but no words came. Roxy swiftly but down on the old hyenadon’s neck. Then she let go. The hyenadon was no longer moving. “You killed him.” Zora whimpered. Roxy grinned evily . “It was necessary, i know you’ll want to give me what I want before I…help the others.” Roxy said. She winked then Zora sat up in her room in the cave.

Chapter six.
Zora sat up from her bed. “Mom, dad!” She cried. They hurried in to her cave room. “What is it?” Her dad asked. “I saw Roxy again!” Zora said. “Where?” Her mother asked. “She was in one of the cave tunnels, she-she killed a old hyenadon.” Zora said. “What’s going on?” A sleepy voice behind them asked. They turned to see a very sleepy Andrew standing there. “It’s nothing honey.” Their mother said quickly. She shot a look at her husband and led Andrew away. Zora’s father looked at her. “Which cave was it?” He asked. “I-I don’t know.” She replied. Her father left and started waking hyenadons up. “There’s a killer amongst us and a murder!” He said. They searched through the caves till they came to a cave where all the older hyenadon leaders slept. “Whaz goin on?” One asked sleepily. “We’re trying to sleep!” Another grunted. “There was a murder.” Zora’s father said. Just then one of the older females howled in grief. “Nooooo!” She cried. “Ezraaa!” She was bent by apparently her husband. “No!” Ezra was dead. The only evidence he had been murdered was the teeth marks in his neck.

Chapter seven.
“Search the caves, we must find this…Roxy.” Zora’s father said. They searched throughout the caves but did not find Roxy. By then the sun was rising, bathing the caves in its warm light. “How exactly did you know old Ezra had been killed?” A hyenadon asked Roxy. “Well, it was kind of like I was dreaming it.” Zora stammered. “Humph!” The hyenadon grunted. “Right!” Zora stared after the hyenadon confused. “What’s his problem?” She mumbled to herself. The tribe council met together and were talking amongst themselves. (Zora’s father was one of the tribe leaders.) Their voices echoes throughout the caves. “How did the girl know!” “…she said she had a dream about it…” “…she must by lying!” “she’s hit her head!” “…she’s crazy!” “…there’s no hyenadon in our tribe called Roxy!” “and no tribes nearby!!” They bickered. “QUIET!!” Zora’s father shouted. “We have no evidence, we must…” A hyenadon interrupted him loudly: “SHE MUST HAVE DONE IT!!” The tribe leaders went completely silent. (The first time they where whispering when they went quiet) Then the uproar from the tribe leaders began…again. “Yes!” “it all makes sense!” “she’s made up this “Roxy” to push the blame off her!” “…send her away!” “Get rid of her!” They argued. “SILENCE!!” Zora’s father thundered. They went quiet. “We ARE NOT sending MY daughter away until we have REAL evidence!!” The rest of the tribe leaders nodded. Except one. Tribe leader Nathaniel. The old hyenadon was a old,war battered hyenadon. “But,” Nathaniel growled. “If your daughter is the killer she WILL die!” Zora’s father tightened his jaw. “Dismissed.” He said.

Chapter four.
Zora continued walking till she came to her camp. Her tribe celebrated when they saw her. “It’s Zora!” “Zora’s back!” “How did the hunt go?” Until they saw she was injured and limping. Zora’s mother rushed up to her. “Honey? Are you okay?” “What happened?” She asked. “I was knocked out and then another hyenadon came and…” Zora began but was interrupted by the crowd. “Another hyenadon?” “None of our village has left.” They clamored noisily. “What happened to your face?” Zora’s father asked. The crowd fell silent suddenly interested. “The hyenadon that attacked me,her name was Roxy, she told me that she wanted something from me but she didn’t tell me what it was.” Zora said. Zora’s mother pushed past. “We need to get her to the cave, she is injured!” Just as they where leading her to her family’s cave she blacked out.
When Zora awoke her mother was there. “W-what happened?” Zora asked. “Lay back down Zora, it’s okay. You just blacked out.” Zora’s mother said. Zora reluctantly laid back down. Then she sat up eagerly. “So did you find Roxy?” She asked her mother. Zora’s mother slowly shook her head. “No-honey…there is no hyenadon in the villa called “Roxy”.”

Chapter eight.
Their progress was slow. Crimson had gotten injured both from the attack of the finrirs and the hyenas so he was rather slow. And though he refused to admit it to Hazel he was hurting. Gradually though they learned to trust each other. Hazel hunted for both of them since Crimson was too weak.
“We’re about six days away from the mountain.” Hazel said sniffing the air. Crimson nodded but didn’t say anything. “So… you got any family at the mountain?” Hazel asked as they began to cross a river. Crimson shook his head. “No, not that I know of.” Hazel rubbed against him. “Well we’ll have each other.” She said, then seemingly embarrassed she backed off and went to “scout ahead” Crimson watched as Hazel gracefully hopped from stone from stone across the river. Crimson tried in vain to hop to the next stone after Hazel but slipped and plunged face first into the water. He pulled himself out of the water and climbed up back into the rock he had slipped off, sputtering and spitting from getting water on his face. A sound Crimson hadn’t heard in a long time came from up ahead where Hazel was. He looked over at Hazel. She was laughing, not at him but because she thought it was funny. Her melodious laughter rang through the air. Crimson smiled at her. She smiled back at him. Then to his surprise she trotted up to him and licked him sweetly on the side of his snout. She then bounded to the next rock and looked back at him, as if daring him to follow her. He happily did so…

So, I drop down my pteranodon onto a moss green head statue thing (Nearby the Blue Obelisk, behind what I have happily dubbed the Tree of Life (At exactly 16.9 Lat, 30.5 Long)), and I go to one of the spawning areas of these adorable guys down the mountain, towards the North North-East direction. I look to my right, nothing. I look to my left AND I AM JUMPED BY FOUR. And a Carno, but unrelated. THESE LITTLE CRITTERS ARE VICIOUS YET ADORABLE. Long story short, I survived but so far have tamed none.
Ok first of all, I LOVE THE HYENA’S SCARS FAN FICTION! I read it and am amazed! Me being a story maker too, I would suggest (if this will become a real book) that you combine some chapters. Anyways, love it so much! Keep up the good work Sunny! (Sorry for just putting sunny I forgot whole name)
Sincerely,

This thing is a nightmare. I found two of them stuck in a hole, so I thought, oh, no big deal. I’ll move on and see what that is up there. But then I was heading up and got attacked. I turned around to see what it was, and the last thing I heard before I died was it’s cackle, as tough it were thinking, what a stupid human. Hahahaha!😂
