Also how rare are female hyaenodons? We only have two males

For me and my brother, it takes one pet to tame these things, and also you got a crouch, behind them or else they go “run away” in their mind or they’re like “kiilllllll!!!!!!”

The only actual dog in ark is the dire wolf, which I find pretty funny, as there are multiple extinct canines.

I’m the same person who said “just found out you can’t ride them”, and the same person who said “they are rideable and ASE”, do not believe me I just found out, that you cannot ride them.😶😶😖😖 i’m sorry honest mistake.

We should need a Hyena Scale like Ark Mobiles Dodo Scale

Hyenas in real life are actually very intelligent and are amazing hunters. They have incredibly strong jaws and can crush and digest bone and extremely rotten meat. Only 10% of their food comes from scavenged meat. Their laugh is also a sign of stress or excitement. So short story short yes, I am a hyena nerd :\

These doggos really are adorable once you warm up to them, and they warm up to you.

For the person who asked why they are called hyaenodons if they look like hyenas, here. Hyaenodons DO look like them, but if you do some more searching in the chat there’s many people that talk about how they aren’t related at all. Like most creatures in ark, the hyaenodon is a real animal that once lived and is now extinct. They aren’t based off the real thing.

These make for great ways to get lots of early game xp , keratin and prime meat , especially if you have a raptor to pin down them when running away

Does anyone else hate the way we have to tame them? Like yes it’s fun. But it’s time consuming. And they agro too easily. I wish they would make it different to where it’s less time consuming. Like maybe only 20 pets until it’s fully tamed. Or make it where it’s not so hard. Like make it where we can feed them or attract them with food and then pet them once to be able to tame them. Because I love these guys but Me and a lot of other people don’t have the patience for them. So I end up giving up every time.

These are rideable in ASE, but you need a saddle, we tamed two, but we don’t have saddles, one is a male alpha (both are males and the same colors, we call them ‘the twin brothers’)

Why are they called Hyaenodons if they look just like hyenas? Can some tell me because I honestly do not know?
