Can be knocked out and then be taken wherever needed by shooting it with a grappling hook. Take it where you want it, let it wake up, start feeding. Also can be taken into a 1x1 trap if youd like to keep it safe and in the same spot. Can fit through a door so no doors allowed.

If you insist on taming one without an Ichthythornis, a good thing to be aware of is that the Hesperonis will sometimes be unable to eat a fish it kills, swimming back and forth to try and "find" it.

You can pick up a fish it's killed and feed it to it, and it counts for tame progress.

Also be aware that if you drop a fish you've killed, it can eat your fish off the floor and it will not give tame progress.

¡Trick for ARK Mobile! Unlike on PC, tapping the screen to give them the fish doesn't work here. You have to use the little paw button (animal interaction) on the left side of the screen when the "Feed" prompt appears.

Great Tame. They lay special eggs which are used to make the best kibble in the game, extraordinary kibble. I found the best place to tame them is around the green obelisk. Follow the river out to the ocean and you should find some along the way. The river also has lots of Sabertooth Salmon and piranhas which the Hesperornis love. The process is still lengthy as they need lots of fish to tame, but finding those fish and paying attention to sizes (around 1.0 the larger the better) will make it much faster

Are you wanting to tame a hesperornis? Here’s how I tame mine! But first everything I say in my tips is of course what I recommend you can tackle this tame however you feel necessary! Also thanks for the support I appreciate it :D Alright now first will be your supplies to consider packing! Be sure to pack some decent armor, as the hesperornis spends most of its time in the water, this also means there will most likely be piranhas that will continually try to impede on your quest! Second on the shopping list is a trusty seagull, you may be wondering why, allow me to explain! So the icthyornis once tamed, has the ability to “hunt and retrieve” enable that option, set it on attack target, and tell it to attack a fish, it will then kill the fish, give it a golden fish buff, as well as bringing it back to you, phew the endless swimming for fish is over! Also as a added bonus the icthyornis’s golden fish buff will tame the hespornis way faster! So I would definitely consider taking one with you! Now that your good to go, it’s time to figure out where to find them! They spawn on every map, they will spawn anywhere that has fish, they also spawn in groups of 2/5 that I know of! Now that you have a vague idea on where to find them it’s time to start taming! Grab your icthy and tell it to murder a fish and bring it to you, once you grab a dead fish, line up your shot, then swim straight toward the duck and feed it, this way the fish never gets all up in your way when feeding, this takes a bit of practice so patience is key! Tell your icthy to fetch another fish… rinse and repeat! The process goes quicker with salmon! And eventually you got yourself a cute lil duck with a VERY aggressive attitude! What might this guy be used for? Good question! Allow me to explain! These guys are good for there egg laying capabilities, giving you one of two kibble to make! Ones I’m pretty sure basic kibble, the other one is exceptional kibble! And there’s nothing more fun than watching an army of ducks murdering your target, also a pretty quick fish meat gatherer! Do not tame these because if you only need the kibble to tame a yuti just use mutton

You will need to bring an icthy to kill fish and bring them to u then feed it but don't get to close, the agro.

They are affected by small bear traps so just build walls around them so they can’t escape

Currently on official servers for xbox (not sure about PS4 or pc) but the hesporonis does not except fish body’s even when fished with the ichyornis the only way I have managed to solve this is buy taming fish with the fish basket then feeding there body’s to them

Make sure to use a ictyornis,and set it to hunt and retrive.....boom a tamed hesparonis

The best way to tame it is to get fishes from a Ichtyornis. Salmons are the best.

Up if you think that these guys should be in mobile and you feed in raw prime fish meat

Feed them a leed and watch their taming affectiveness go up to 1000000000%

How to get a hesp worry free in 10 minutes:

Clear the area of piranhas before you do ANYTHING. Dilos can also be an obstscle as they're annoying af.

Use a tame for travel that can move quickly in the water so that you can get fish asap (not baryonyx because they always destroy corpses). Don't waste time using any fish under 1X. Kill them instead and leave the corpses around so that the hesp doesn't wander too far. ^^^! -AK

I had a stack of 27 fish and it the lvl 2. Didn’t tame

To get fertilized eggs, they must be on wandering in water. They wouldnt mate onland, only when I put them in water. Just attach them to a hitching post in the water.

I wouldn’t tame but since your here I’ll tell you how:

1.trap it with a safe way in and out without it escaping

2. Kill coalcamth and drag the body to the trap then click use on the hesparonis

3.repeat until tamed

Use a tec suit to tame. Put element in your inventory. Tec suit let's you breath underwater and can boost you through the water at high speed to get fish. I used a crossbow to kill sabertooth, then boost quickly to hesperonis to feed.

I killed the hesperonis I did not want to tame as these will kill the fish and make it difficult to find them.

I tamed them on extinction in the snow biome.
