To tame, you need ghille armor. And you will need fertilized eggs to drop around the nest, i personally have used stego eggs. These eggs will distract the parent and keep in mind that the larger the eggs used, the longer the parent will stay distracted. While the parent is busy, get into the nest, the baby gigantoraptor will run to you and emote. You must press a button with the corresponding emote to tame. Depending on server settings, I find that I can tame a baby and keep the parent distracted using one rock drake egg. And when tamed, the parent will not attack and will stop eating so you can recollect the eggs uneaten.

Once you have one, they will raise your baby's for you and feed them. I had raptors in the saddle for hours and most of the food spoiled with very little consumage. My next test is to put a dino in the saddle with no food at all in its inventory, to test my theory completely.

1: Bring a tanky tame.

2: Set to passive, attack the parent while riding and lead it about 30-40 feet away.

3: Dismount so the parent attacks your passive tame and not you.

4: Sneak into the nest and wait until it eventually de agros.

5: Start the taming process with the baby.

6: Repeat.

Just trap the parent in a simple argy trap with four gateways and two gates and you won’t have to worry about them at all

Trap the parent with metal billboards.

Jump into the nest and mimic the moves baby does until tamed.

Do not kill the parent until after.

First what you want to do is lead the parent away from the nest, to do so, aggro it and have it chase you away from the nest. Then surround the nest with stone gates. You will be able to go about imprinting with no interpretation.

Just wait till the adult is distracted run to the nest and hide .once your hidden you could tame him in peace and won't get attack by the mom or dad

If you have all ready a adult tamed Gigantoraptor you only need to kill the parent and press C hability and then press E to imprint the baby Gigantoraptor! If you don’t have Gigantoraptor the easy method put billboards metal and large trap and agro the Gigantoraptor to a trap and go to the nest without any problem !

Solo tame trick I’ve found..

Step 1: Trap parent near nest. Within 20ft I find is best

Step 2: Hide in nest

Step 3: Wait for baby to gesture to you Spin/BowFlap

Step 4: Copy it’s gesture for taming effectiveness

Bam now you’ve tamed a peacock enjoy :)

Moschops eggs are very useful here, you get one dance out of each, would recommend taming moschops if u plan to get an early one

I have a good trick syntac tought me.

1. Get a low level by trapping the parent with gates and then tame the baby.

2. Find a high level that your looking for.

3. Kill the parent.

4. Make sure YOUR gigaraptor is near.

5. Go up to the baby gigaraptor and imprint on it.

This works because the baby locks on to yours and thinks its their parent.

You don't need eggs to tame. Just fly it away with a pt in the water then come back real fast, park it away a little bit, but not too close to the nest, jump back into the nest, and do one dance. Ark ascended.

u don’t need fertilized eggs just trap the mom, don’t do it to far away.

Kill all the hostile creatures in the area ( don’t kill the mom).

If the mom is killed or to far away from the nest U CANT TAME THE BABY. THIS IS IMPORTANTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

To easily tame a gigantoraptor

Make a lot of stone foundations and place it, lead the adult gigantoraptor in, so it can't attack you as you tame it's baby, now hide in it's nest and start having a dance battle with it's baby and you'll have a gigantoraptor for yourself

Anyone else find it weird how they can fit through a dino gateways when their head scrapes on the ceiling? I figured the devs would just be like NO MAKE IT NOT FIT SO PEOPLE WASTE MORE MATERIALS AND SPACE.

Use forcetame in admin commands

You can trap the adult “close” to the nest and tame the baby, on aberration at least. You have to let the parent come back to the nest after a set amount of emotes from the baby then you can retrap and continue.👌
