To distract parent place pillars 2 high and stand on the other side and they can’t damage you through the pillar.. stand and wait while your tribemate dances with baby

1. Find a nest

2. Trap parent

3. Hide in nest

4. Use emote when promoted, Copy the baby.

5. Do this until tamed.

6. All done

Instead of trying to distract the parent with fertilized eggs, bring a reasonably "tanky" tamed dino, one with high health/armor and a good saddle. Trike, stego, turtle, etc. Whistle it to passive.

Approach the parent while riding it, wait for the parent to aggro on it, and lead it a short distance from the nest (not too far or taming won't work). While parent is still aggroed on the tame, hop off, run around, and hide in the nest. Then start taming the baby when it does it's dances.

The parent may lose interest in the tanky dino, so be prepared to run back over, hop back on, and nip at the parent again. Wash and repeat.

The whole process is much easier with two people, one to ride the tank and the other to tame the baby.

Trap the mom near by with billboards if possible then wait for de agro hop in nest and wait for baby to come back then mimic it's emotes as a mini game untill it's tamed.

Toss fert eggs on ground short distance from nest, when gigantoraptor start pecking or consuming egg get in nest.baby will approach and do animation and three options will pop up, copy baby animation by pressing collating button above hotbar. Leave nest when parent finishes eating egg repeat until tamed

Easy Two Person Tame. Use bug to block mom/dad from getting close to nest. The other person tame away with one of the three jesters the baby will do in yhe nest. Kill the parent afterwards. And repeat. Easier with three people. Two trap with bug, third tame baby. Egg method only needed if solo. Hot tip, run parent off cliff if close, tame baby. Parent has to be within s certain distance.

Build a barrier around nest and then build a box 2x2 by nest with 2 wall high around it in barrier with nest and put the parent in the box and you can tame baby peacefully with out wilds or the parent trying to attack you

So once you find a nest, you have a couple options. You can throw fertilized eggs as a distraction for the mother, or you can aggro her off a cliff or so where she can't make it back, then deaggro. Mother only targets one egg at a time between checking her nest, so if you use the egg route, throw one at a time. A pile of eggs doesn't distract longer than one egg. Once mama is busy and deaggrod, go interact with the nest (same key as mounting) and wait for the baby to come back and make noise. A mini game with 3 emotes (spin, bow, flap arms) will appear and you need to hit the key that matches to make progress. If using the egg method, one imprint is usually all you'll get between eggs, depending on size I believe.

Distract mom: Use fert eggs (giga, carchar, and yuti have worked for us so far) or a tribe mate to get agro (apparently you can also cage her in with gates if you’re able to build)

Easiest way. Trap mom with gates or signs. Then do emotes with the babies

If you have an adult g-raptor kill the parent and then call the orphan while riding your you can then claim the orphan while riding your tame

Hit up scorch and snag a few Wyvern Eggs. Keeps them occupied for at least 2 dances from the baby.

You need to lure the mother a short way from the nest and trap her, billboards seem to work best. Then return to the nest and 'hide' in it. The baby will approach you and then begin one of 3 actions which you must mimic by selecting the appropriate response. Do this repeatedly over time to complete the tame

Allo eggs & Yuty eggs works great to gain trust. Don’t trap mother too far from baby, (try not to). This makes the process glitch because it’s not how the taming is intended.

4. Protect mother, (she trusted you)

To tame these eggs can be used to distract 5he parent and doing so with ghuille armor imprint on baby and dance drop eggs reapeat

I’ve tamed 4 of these now and every time I’ve trapped the parent

Nobody knows how to tame this because it isn't released yet. Yet encountered, it may act similar to Raptors and Reapers, though may gain speed over charging. Have any questions? You don't need ghillie! Just one fertilized egg! (I used bronto)

Step 1: Drop the egg and wait for the parent to start eating.

Step 2: Sneak into the nest (ideally giving the parent a wide berth) and play one game with the baby.

Step 3: Hop out of the nest and quickly grab the egg away from the parent. If it aggros on to you run away from the nest because the parent will only chase you so far from the nest.

Step 4: Drop the egg again and repeat the other steps until you tame your gigantoraptor!

Note: This method might be patched in the future so just keep that in mind.

The gigantoraptor make around 7 hits to the fertilized egg

It go fast so take around 5 eggs to be sure to tame it easely.

And when the dad eat an egg it always come back to the nest so set another egg in the same place and reapeat the opération to the last.

I have an actually overpowered way to tame these guys:

1. Make sure you have a cryopod or argy

2. Get a lot of stone doorframes and a stone ramp

3. Find a Gigantoraptor

4. Build a trap with the previous stone stuff

5. Aggro the Gigantoraptor parent into the trap

6. Do the emote thing with the baby in the nest

7. Grab the now tamed baby with a cryo or argy and boom

With this strat, you don’t need fertilized eggs and you don’t have to worry about the adult breaking out of the trap
