Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a giant bee? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a giant bee.
Make the bees come out of the hive, then jump on the back of a griffin and do the dash attack thing to the hive. It instantly destroys it, making the queen bee come out very quickly.
I tamed one pretty quickly. Have a partner on a mount and they kill the hive and you follow the queen. I take a sword with me so when I feed the queen and she summons drones I use the sword on the drones and it makes easy kills of them. Then I continue to follow the queen. Be careful not to lose her though because I have lost many, especially when trying to tame by myself. I also use ghillie and bug repellant. Good luck.
SINGLEPLAYER PC PLAYERS BEWARE: the Giant Bee will disappear from all naturally-spawned beehives the first time you log off of your ark! This makes it MUCH more difficult (though apparently not impossible) to find and tame this creature.
I say “apparently not impossible”, as they can be encountered under extremely specific circumstances. I did some testing, and it seems that wild beehives respawn when (and only when) you load into the ark. Because Giant Bees only despawn when you LEAVE the ark, there’s a small window where you may be able to encounter an inhabited beehive that spawned the last time you logged in. I encountered a wild Bee this way, so I know I’m on the right track.
You can use a Rhyniognatha to destroy the nest with no issues.
By far (for me), the easiest way to destroy the hive was to use a tapejara and just circle around the hive damaging and dodging the drones at the same time.
Bring a Dino that does a lot of damage or c4
If your trying to tame the bees
I suggest using a chalicotherium to break the hive, every time I have done it, only the queen comes from the hive.
Even easier than using a dire bire. To tame one use a dimorphodon and have it attack the hive. It will break the nest and kill all and the bees that come out. Just whistle it passive before the queen pops out or it will kill her too.
Not the best way to tame but midgame (when all you have is a half decent argie cause you're Tring to build a base) an argue will work. Try to fing a low beehive on the edge of the redwoods. Clear the area of hostiles but not the passive or neutral Dino as these can naturally kill aggressive dinos and block spawn spots. Sprint to the beehive then hit it. When the cloud of bees emerges lure it away from the bee hive land facing them and kill them. Rince and repeat. You will get hit a few times so be careful. Once it breaks put a rare flower in the last inv slot crouch up to it and and press the button that comes up. This might take a while. Happy taming.
Where a ghillie suit and use repellent if available. Once your break the nest the bee will fly to the floor and start spawning in baby bees. Try to quickly feed the bee then back off because her spawns will attack. Watch which way the bee goes! Since they have a small radius to be seen let it go out of view and it'll reset how many baby bees she has floating around her, that's when you run in and feed, then repeat.
Fire wyverns do the trick, burn the hive, eat the bees, then Ghille armour to passive tame.
Use dire bear as bee's don't damage them and use bear to destroy nest with ease be careful not to kill Queen and i suggest to use rare flowers as easy to find to tame Queen and you have your own bee hive
Just use a dire bear. The tlc means it won’t be hit and deals heaps of damage:)
Either use a wyvern to quickly destroy nest or use spyglass and argent to whistle attack while sat out of drone range. Once nest is destroyed make sure your ghillie is on and your bug repellent is active, whistle tame passive then crouch down and stalk your queen while feeding it rare flowers. Crouching works well for staying out of drone attack range, the drones die after so long and that is your window to ram flowers down the queen's throat. Happy hunting.
Use a small tame such as a pack of dimorphodons to break the nest. Tames that can climb are also useful. Unless using a very strong weapon, guns are not advised as they may harm the bees. Use a ghillie suit and bug spray to remain undetected.
This is the easiest way to tame a bee without having to chase it down. First lower the health for the hive then build a platform in front of the hive, place a wooden cage with the door to the hive, break the hive and the queen will fly into the cage, close the door and tame away.
Throw oil on top of the hive and ignite it with flame thrower or torch
When run away until hive gone
Then tame the queen
If you see one run just run!!!
Put bug spray on your tame and don't make the mistake I did I had no bug spray and no organic polymer suit and even with a thousand health I still dead don't make that mistake
Arb ammo will work in an auto rifle!
