To make honey last practically forever, make a fishing rod and equip honey, that is about to spoil, to the fishing rod, then un-equip it. It should refresh the spoil timer. Does not work with leech blood. Tested on PS4.
The honey is a must for fishing. It can be used for salmon, just like leech blood. I used it as bait for an hour and noticed that fish bite more frequently. In a pool with coel and salmon, I noticed that the salmon bit more frequently than the coels while using honey as bait.
If a giant bee is encumbered outside of a base’s turret range, you can whistle attack this target with a spyglass and the minion bees serve as a soaker. Essentially, you can endlessly soak with this method as long as you keep whistling
Honey the bee creates expires quickly. (even in a fridge.)
You can actually (attach) the honey to a fishing rod and remove at anytime. This will prevent the honey from ever expiring! Good way to store it as fishing rods are so cheap to make!
After you tame it you can obtain bee hive and you can place it anywhere. If you put rare flowers in its inventory it will start making honey. But remember, even when you get the beehive the bees will still attack you when you access its inventory if you don't have full ghillie armor.
