Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a dunkleosteus? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a dunkleosteus.
I think ichty would be good to tame this guys on mobile, cause i've been traveled around the sea, and encountering all thing like tuso, mosa, plesio, cnidaria, eel and they not attack me even alpha mosa not attacked me. becarefull tho sometime they will agro on you and attack you but you will be okay i think considering the ichty is fast. But one thing, bring A LOT of tranq.
scary mount but pretty good and if ur taming one of these u can just trap it one one of the water caves and use ur compound crossbow or tranq darts on the surface of the cave
How should I handle these guys on gen2? To tame these guys is simple, it’s a normal knockout tame but in the water, they are the best for begging (because unlike the basilosaurus they don’t have swarms of many’s attacking them.) they gather resources and a decent leveled one can mostly survive the taming process for a tusotuethes, although I am having trouble taming them in genisis 2
If your trying to tame one in easy just get any type of water tame get a compound bow and about 50 toxicant arrows max then find one and lead it into the open ocean so nothin is trying to kill you and just shoot it and it wont attack you as long as your not on a tame (i think could've been a glitch).
How to tame one
1. Get scuba
2 Get some tranqs
3. Tame a megaladon
4. İf you gonna Tame high lvl Get ateist 320 tranq arrow
5. Find one
6. Make megaladon tank him and white hes busy with your megaladon you can shoot him without any problems
Tried to tame a 150 with dmg 211.4% crossbow it died :(
To knock out these easily, you should use an ichthyosaurus and crossbow with tranq arrows. You will need a lot of tranq arrows. Stay on the ichthyosaurus so the dunkleosteus won’t attack you. Don’t let anything dangerous get in the way. Hope this helps.
I literally just grab it with a tuso took it to a safe corner and just waited took about 2 hours to find and tame 2 X versions of this
They take the most amount of tranqs to knock out out of any aquatic knockout tame. Since the x-dunk takes %40 the damage of a regular dunk, it makes it one of the hardest things to knock out. However, it’s extremely cowardly, so if they dunks try to surround you, one tranq is always enough to send them running. Plus, plesios, megalodons, parakeet fish schools, anglers, Electrophorus, Mosas, and of you’re unlucky enough, Tusos, will come from every where and try to kill you. The only good news is, knocking it out is the only hard part. It’s a very quick tame afterwards, and doesn’t require any narcs most of the time. Stil, the x-dunk is one of the hardest things to knock out in the game lol.
Pretty easy tame with prime meat and chasing with a bary, just keep an eye out for jellies and megalodons
Cheap stone trap with small water dinos or yourself
4 foundation
3 walls high each side, it will not pass thru
1 giant hatch frame and gate on top
Thats all
Bow take your dino, lure it from top and you get out from the side without walls. Dunky is slow and clumsy so you have time to return on too to close gate
Voila
Also work for shark
You want to have kibble, bring about 150 arrows, and bring scuba suit
They are slow. Any tamed water mount that isn't a dunkle can out-swim it
If you have yourself a tuso before taming one if these, your life will be 100% easier.
Just grab it, hold it and wait till it K'Os
Get a sarco or two to help clean out the area and shoot it with tranq arrows while mounted. It will almost never attack and you'll have plenty of speed to keep up while it swims around. Bring a couple if scuba tanks if you don't have above primitive base ones.
If solo taming literally just grab with tuso, bring back to base, hold it and watch YouTube until it passes out
Don't aim for head I suggest trapping it in a sea cave or you could shoot above the point in which it swims
They have a lot of torpor and have 80% damage reduction. They are also great oil gatherers and are very tanky at high levels
If you have a squid just grab it and hold it still until it goes unconscious.
Don't hit the head it does less torpor (just like the pachy) so hit the body.
