What are some stories about the dreadnoughtus? Memorable dreadnoughtus stories, wild encounters, and fan fiction.
ARK: Extinction’s Reign
I woke up gasping for air, my body pressed against the cold, damp earth. My vision blurred as I forced myself to sit up. My arms were covered in scratches, my clothes torn, but the strangest thing of all was the glowing implant embedded in my wrist, pulsing with a soft blue light.
The sound of distant roars filled the air, and as my vision cleared, I saw towering metallic ruins stretching across the horizon. The sky was cracked like broken glass, flickering with unnatural hues. Something had destroyed this world.
And whatever had done it was still here.
I wasn’t alone. A group of survivors had gathered near the wreckage of a collapsed structure, their weapons crude but deadly—bows, spears, even a few old rifles. A man, scarred and sharp-eyed, stepped forward.
"You’re new," he said simply. "Welcome to Hell."
"Where are we?" I asked, still trying to make sense of it all.
He smirked. "You’re standing in the Wasteland, last remnants of the world before the corruption took it."
"Corruption?"
Before he could answer, the ground trembled.
A deep, inhuman snarl echoed through the ruins.
A massive shape emerged from the shadows of a shattered skyscraper—a corrupted Rex.
Its blackened hide pulsed with an eerie red glow, tendrils of corruption twisting across its body like living veins. Its eyes burned with mindless hunger.
And it was charging straight for us.
Chaos erupted. Arrows whistled through the air. Gunshots boomed. Spears were thrown. But the corrupted Rex didn’t stop. It plowed through the first line of defenders, shredding one man in a single bite. The others scattered, yelling orders, but the creature was relentless.
A woman grabbed my arm.
"If you want to live, run!"
We bolted, diving into the ruins while the screams of the dying filled the air behind us.
"The obelisk!" the woman—Riley—shouted, pointing ahead. "It’s the only place the corruption doesn’t touch!"
A massive floating monolith, glowing with blue energy, stood in the distance like a beacon of hope.
But between us and it?
An entire horde of corrupted creatures waiting in the shadows.
And the Rex was still right behind us.
I had no choice.
I grabbed a rusted spear from the ground, spun, and threw it with everything I had.
The spear struck the Rex’s eye, making it stumble back, roaring in pain.
It wasn’t enough to kill it.
But it was enough to buy us time.
Riley and I charged into the ruins, leaping over debris, dodging collapsing structures as the creatures pursued us from all sides. Then—suddenly—she stopped before a terminal, glowing with the same blue light as my implant.
"Get on it!" she shouted. "It’ll recognize your implant!"
I slammed my wrist against the console.
A surge of energy shot through my body.
And then, a voice spoke.
"Engaging Defensive Protocols."
The ruins around us came to life.
Turrets rose from the ground, ancient war machines powered up, and suddenly, the corrupted horde had something else to worry about.
Riley grinned. "Welcome to the war, rookie."
I looked up at the glowing obelisk in the distance.
Surviving was only the beginning.
The real fight was just starting

Jimmy spent the rest of the class thinking of ways he could get spidey back. “I could steal it, I could start a revolution, no to much work.” Jimmy thought vigorously. As the Recess bell rang Jimmy walked up to Mr. Hsu. “Mr. Hsu?” Jimmy asked. “Jimmy, I know what your thinking, but I’m sorry, your toy has to stay with me until next week.” Mr. Hsu replied. “Please Mr. Hsu. I need him for Show and Tell, is there anything I can do to get him back?” Jimmy asked. “Is there anything else you can use for Show and Tell?” Mr. Hsu asked. “Unless you want me to explain the history of the pencil, then, no.” Jimmy responded. Mr. Hsu sighed. “You can have it back, on one occasion.” Mr. Hsu said. “I’ll do almost anything!” Jimmy replied anxiously. Jimmy later found himself skipping recess to do extra schoolwork. He finally finished when the recess bell rang again. The halls filled with children. Mr. Hsu walked up to Jimmy. He looked at the work he had done. “I must say Jimmy, I’m impressed, for someone who enjoys playing, you work really fast.” Mr. Hsu said. Mr. Hsu walked up to the bookshelf and grabbed the action figure. He walked over and handed it to him. “I’m glad you did the right thing and didn’t start a revolution or something.” Mr. Hsu chuckled. “Er… yeah, definitely didn’t think of that….” Jimmy laughed nervously.

Chapter 21 ~the oasis~ (Yes I’m skipping the Ron/Ping plot this time, that plot is far shorter than the others and this will make things run smoother)
“Bones!? Bones?” Ceasar yelled. “Is everyone alright?!” The chief said looking at his troop, “we’re alright, so is the bat.” “What about Bones?” The chief said. “Bones!?” Ceasar yelled again, running towards him, when he got close he could see smoke coming off of bone’s body and he heard a sizzling sound. “Bones?” He said. “I’m.. im alright.. ish…” Bones said, Ceasar and the others all exhaled a sigh of relief, Bones struggled to stand, but he did, he turned towards Caesar, and Ceasar saw what had happened; a streak of 3rd degree burns ran from bone’s eye down to his tail, it looked painful but Bones seemed unfazed. “You don’t look alright.. you need help.” Caesar said. “I-I’m fine..” Bones said. “He’s in shock.” The chief said. “We need to find a medic I’ll go on ahead, Jaxz cmon.” Caesar said, Jaxz nodded and followed him down the tunnel. “Which way should we go? We have to hurry, those lava things could come at any moment we need to get Bones help and warn the oasis.” Caesar said, Jaxz let out a shriek and twitched his ear towards the sound “it’s.. left,” Jaxz said, he looked at Caesar “it’s ok, Bones will be alright and we’ll warn the oasis.” “I’m not worried about the oasis or Bones, well of course I am but.. I’m worried about the others they’re scattered around who knows where and according to Salizar they’re about to die.. I just feel like I’ve failed them somehow.” Caesar said. “The others can handle themselves we need to worry about the attack and try to find them not worry about what some psycho told you, maybe he made it all up maybe they aren’t even in danger.” Jaxz said reassuringly (even though he was worried as well) “I guess your right, look up ahead. I think we’re there.” Caesar said pointing forward there was light in the tunnel up ahead and the sounds of creatures in the distance, they walked forward until they came into a glow worm lit room stuffed with creatures of all shapes and sizes it was very lush and there was a pool in the center of the room filled with glistening water. “Ahh newcomers, welcome to th- wait what are you two??” A jerboa said puzzled, “I’m a mesopithicus and he’s a badger.” Caesar said. “What?!” Jaxz said. “Oh, I’ve never seen a mesopithiwatsis or a badger before, anyway welcome to the oasis a place of peace and tranquillity where all creatures big and small can wait out the.. temporary apocalypse.” She said. “I’m not a-” Jaxz was cut off by Caesar, who said “nice well our friend didn’t make it in here in time he’s at the entrance burned up really bad we need a medic fast.” “Oh of course! Why didn’t you say something sooner, all the supplies we need to cure burns grow right here I’ll go gather a few things and meet you there.” She said, “uh you won’t be able to carry all the supplies you need.. he’s uhh gigantic.” Caesar said. “Ok I’ll get a morelotops to help.” She said quickly, and bounced away. “Why did you tell her I’m a badger?! What’s a badger!” Jaxz said, Caesar shrugged and walked away chuckling, he walked up towards all the relaxing creatures and said “hmm how to put this gently.. uh, there are iguanas made of lava coming to kill you all, I’d get ready for a fight.” “Why would we listen to you?” Said a hyenadon. “Because you don’t want to die.” Caesar said. “Eh good enough for me, EVERYONE PREPARE FOR BATTLE, THE MAGMASAURS ARE COMING TO KILL US ALL, GET THE WAR BUCKETS!” The hyenadon said. “War buckets.. how often do these things attack” Caesar said. The hyenadon looked at him, “enough that we invented war buckets..
The tale of the shadow phoenixes
Chapter eighteen.
Leah came home very late that night. She had spent time with Tom until finally they had reluctantly gone home. She had agreed to go out with Tom again the next day.
The next day was snowy, the sun was hidden behind the clouds and it was so cold outside that everyone had to wear winter clothing. All the friends except James met up at the musician’s house. Tom and Leah sat on the couch together, their hand interlocked while Arianna and Cole sat awkwardly at the table. Suddenly the door opened and….James walked in carrying a large box. “James!” Cole exclaimed excitedly. James grinned. “Hi guys. My mom convinced dad to end my grounding time.” James said. “So…how has it been without me?” James asked. His eyes darted over to where Tom and Leah sat and he smirked. “Kind of boring.” Arianna said. James’ smirk grew. “Well, I’m back! So..you will be bored no longer!” He set the box on the floor but held the lid down. “So me and Tom’s birthday is coming up so I convinced my mother and father to get me…something special as long as I took care of it.” James said, lifting his hand from the box. The box lid burst open and a puppy Australian shepherd came bounding out. She had one blue eye and one brown eye and her fur was a mixture of white, dark brown, and light brown. The puppy ran circles around the room, sniffing them. “Awww! That’s so cute! What’s its name?” Leah asked. “I’ve decided to name her Bellatrix or Bella for short.” James said.
That’s the end of this chapter. Sorry it was short.

ARK: Extinction’s Reign
Chapter 2: The War for Survival
The turrets fired in rapid succession, spitting bursts of plasma into the charging horde. Corrupted raptors screeched as they were torn apart by the energy rounds. A corrupted stegosaurus swung its massive tail, shattering an old metal barrier before a cannon blast sent it tumbling.
The chaos was overwhelming, but it bought us time.
Riley grabbed my shoulder. "We can’t stay here. The obelisks are our only chance."
I glanced at the battlefield. The corrupted Rex was still standing, snarling through the wreckage, its hide glowing with pulsating veins of red energy. The wounds it had taken were already closing.
It wasn’t going to stop.
"How do we get to the obelisk?" I asked, backing away as a destroyed turret exploded nearby.
"There’s a skiff hidden near the old tunnels," Riley said. "If we reach it, we can fly straight to the Sanctuary."
A corrupted carno barreled toward us, its jagged horns lowered for a killing blow. Riley yanked a grenade from her belt, pulled the pin, and hurled it forward. The explosion sent the creature crashing into a pile of rubble.
"Move!" she shouted.
We sprinted through the ruins, dodging falling debris and leaping over the twisted remains of an ancient highway. The air was thick with the scent of burning metal and rot. I could hear the horde behind us, their unnatural screeches echoing through the ruined city.
The skiff was where Riley said it would be—a sleek, hovercraft buried under layers of dust and vines. It looked like it hadn’t been used in years. She jumped onto the control panel, slamming her wrist against the interface.
For a moment, nothing happened.
Then, with a hum of energy, the skiff came to life.
"Get on!" she yelled.
I leapt onto the platform as the skiff lifted off the ground, just as a swarm of corrupted pteranodons swooped down at us. Riley yanked the controls, sending the skiff veering to the side.
I grabbed the mounted turret, gripping the handles as I lined up a shot. The first pteranodon dove straight for us. I squeezed the trigger. The turret roared to life, sending a burst of energy straight into the creature’s chest. It exploded into a cloud of blackened mist.
The others kept coming.
Riley cursed under her breath as she jerked the controls, trying to shake them. The skiff bobbed and weaved through the ruins, skimming over rooftops and dodging rusted towers. I kept my finger on the trigger, firing at anything that got too close. The gun overheated fast, forcing me to fire in short bursts.
"How much farther?" I shouted.
"Not far!" Riley called back.
Then, suddenly, the sky darkened.
A massive shadow passed over us.
The air grew heavy, a low, unnatural hum vibrating through my chest. The earth trembled.
I turned just in time to see it—a Titan.
It was unlike anything I had ever seen before. A massive beast, its body a grotesque fusion of flesh and corruption, towering over the ruins like a living mountain. Its eyes glowed with a deep, malevolent red, and every step it took sent tremors through the landscape.
The corrupted horde stopped.
They turned, as if answering a silent command.
The Titan lifted its massive arm, its fingers twisted into jagged claws of darkened crystal, and swung. The impact sent a shockwave tearing through the ruins, shattering buildings like they were made of glass.
"Riley!" I shouted. "We need to move—now!"
She was already ahead of me, pushing the skiff’s engines to their limits. The craft lurched forward, skimming just above the wreckage as the Titan let out an ear-splitting roar.
The obelisk was close—so close I could feel the energy radiating from it.
But the Titan wasn’t going to let us go so easily.
It moved fast.
Faster than anything that size should have been able to.
It swung again, and this time, the shockwave hit us.
The skiff spun out of control.
I grabbed onto the railing as we spiraled downward. Riley fought the controls, but it was useless—the force had knocked the engines offline.
The obelisk loomed ahead.
We were going to crash.
I braced for impact, knowing full well that if we didn’t find a way to survive this landing, we weren’t going to make it to the obelisk.
And if we didn’t make it to the obelisk—
Humanity’s last hope was as good as dead-Ember

Jimmy ran his fingers across his wood desk. He was brain wracking. Why did Britney have to rat him out?! Jimmy glanced at Britney and she smirked triumphantly. There had to be some way to get his Spider-Man toy back!! A idea suddenly dawned on him and Jimmy’s heart pounded excitedly. RING!!! RIING!!!* The recess bell rang. The class sighed with relief and began to file out neatly in a line. Jimmy stopped in front of Mr. Hsu’s desk after all the other kids were gone. “Mr. Hsu?” Jimmy asked. Mr Hsu was grading homework. His teacher barely looked up.
“What Jimmy?” Mr. Hsu replied. “Please sir…I really want to use my spider-man toy for show and tell… maybe there’s some way I can earn it back?” Jimmy pleaded. Mr. Hsu looked at him, and his eyes softened slightly. “Well if you can work really hard..” Mr. Hsu said. Jimmy nodded vigorously. “Yes sir! I can do it! I promise I’ll work as hard as I can!!” Jimmy exclaimed earnestly. “Well then, you can help me clean up this classroom.” Jimmy’s heart dropped. But then he wouldn’t have much time to play with his toy during recess. Jimmy gritted his teeth.
At least he would have his toy, his prized possession if he helped. He would do it. For his Spider- man toy! Jimmy nodded. “I’m ready.”
And so he began cleaning. He swept the room, organized the books, washed the chalkboard, picked all the pieces of chewed gum off Britney’s desk(Which Jimmy thought was VERY VERY disgusting.), and much more. As he worked, he thought about his toy and that helped him as he did the toughest of jobs.
Finally he was done! “I think I finished it, Mr. Hsu.” Jimmy said. His teacher looked up with wide eyes. “Wow, Jimmy! The classroom looks brand new!” Mr. Hsu exclaimed. Jimmy smiled nervously. Mr. Hsu reached up and took Jimmy’s toy down. “There you go Jimmy. You’ve earned it. Now remember…don’t play with toys in class.” Mr. Hsu said sternly. Jimmy nodded, beaming happily. “I will remember, Mr. Hsu!! I promise!” Jimmy exclaimed. His teacher smiled. “Go on then. Recess is almost over.” Jimmy bounded off to play with his Spider-man toy before recess ended.
The end…
Making friends

As the bell got closer and closer to striking recess, Jimmy felt his mind wander and tried to think of a master plan to get his precious toy back. It couldn’t be that hard, right?
“It’s so high up though,” Jimmy thought meekly as his eyes looked at the awesome Spider Man toy so high up on the bookshelf. Even using the chairs, he would be too short to reach it. He’d need to find something tall in order to get it.
Just then, he heard someone giggling at him from the desk behind him. He turned around and snarled at who it was. It was Brenda. She had a cruel smile on her face.
“Are you going to cry because you had your stupid toy taken away from you?” Brenda teased him slyly.
“Shut up Brenda,” Jimmy murmured back, “You know how much that toy means to me.”
Brenda leaned back in her seat. She twirled her wavy black hair around one of her fingers.
“If you really want your toy back, maybe you can ask my big bro for help. You can’t reach your toy, right?”
“No…”
“Well my big brother can. He doesn’t like anyone mentioning it, but he was held back a year in the fourth grade because he failed his district interim. He’s pretty tall too. He can reach your precious Spider Man easily.”
“R-Really? He’d be willing to help?” Jimmy said with wonder, “Why are you helping me?”
“Because I can. And to be honest, I don’t really like that Britney girl anyway. Tattle tales are so boring,” Brenda noted. She looked over at her friend, Andrea, who was quietly working on her math assignment without paying attention to their conversation. Then she looked over at Britney, who was doing the same. She seemed tuned out.
“But I do expect a reward.”
“I’ll let you touch my Spider Man toy twice,” Jimmy suggested.
“Tsk, I don’t care about your lame toy,” Brenda scoffed. Jimmy frowned at her words. His Spider Man toy was NOT lame.
“Then what do you want?”
Brenda’s eyes darted over to Jimmy’s mechanical pencil, she nodded at that. Jimmy clutched onto it tightly and away from sight. It was a very expensive mechanical pencil and he wouldn’t let it go so easily.
“No, you can’t have that. Anything else.”
“But I want that,” Brenda grinned, “I heard it’s a good pencil. My parents won’t give me one, so I’ve had to settle with the regular ones.”
“I can just ask your big brother and I don’t have to give you anything. So choose something else.”
“And I can ask him not to help you at all,” Brenda giggled.
Mr. Hsu continued to ramble on about grammar in creative writing. Then, finally, he began to pass out some weird story prompt that they’d have to fill out. Brenda took the paper and placed it in her folder, and slowly began to put it away in her backpack.
“Last chance, Jimmy. As soon as I place this folder in my backpack… I’m calling it off.”
Brenda snickered as she lowered the folder into her backpack, and Jimmy finally took his pencil and placed it on her desk.
“Fine. Have it.”
Brenda smiled gently at Jimmy, picking the pencil up and flashing it in front of Jimmy.
“I’m glad we have a deal. My big brother Danny always hangs out near the benches.”
“Where all the benched people sit?”
“Yes. He’s friends with a lot of them. You can find him there. He’ll help you.”
RIIIIING!
“Okay everyone. Have a good recess!” Mr. Hsu announced, “I’ll be in the bathroom, so bother me when we come back. I’ll be in there for a while, since I had a pretty nasty breakfast…”
Everyone let out gags of disgust, and some laughter, and then everyone filtered out of the classroom.
~
Jimmy soon found himself wandering toward the benches, where all the troublemakers would sit. They got in trouble for a lot of things. Littering, failing to turn in homework for many consecutive days, or being unsafe on the playground. Disrespect toward teachers was another offense.
Jimmy could already feel the sweat accumulating on his forehead as he approached the gnarly benches. The blue paint was rotting, and the kids there were solemn and quiet, taking in their punishments. Some cried, while some were swearing under their breaths. Jimmy could spot a pretty big guy for elementary school chatting with some random person. This must have been Danny.
“So what are you in for?” Danny asked the random girl.
“The noon-aid got mad at me because I was running too fast during tag.”
“Pft, that’s stupid. You shouldn’t be here.”
“I know. I hate those noon-aids.”
Jimmy slowly approached Danny, and just stood there staring at him. Danny turned around.
“What are you looking at?” Danny asked, clenching his fists.
“N-Nothing. I just wanted your help,” Jimmy finally uttered his words. Danny didn’t look like a 5th grader. He looked like he should have been in middle school.
“If you want help with math or some stupid stuff like that, you can go ask some nerd. I’m not the guy to look for,” Danny said.
“No, I need your help with something else,” Jimmy explained, “Britney the tattle tale got my toy confiscated and now I need it back. But Mr. Hsu put it on a bookshelf and I can’t reach it, even with a chair. You’re the only one tall enough to reach it.”
“Mr. Hsu? He’s nice, usually he doesn’t confiscate anything. And if he does, he returns it at the end of the day.”
“He said I’d get it next week,” Jimmy grumbled.
Danny smirked, and got up from the bench.
“Well that must mean you’re a bad kid,” Danny said, “I like your type. I hate the rules. I’ve seen it all the time. It’s the reason why people like Patricia here must suffer. Rules are stupid.”
“Am I a bad kid?” Jimmy thought. He shook his head, thinking, “No, I’m not a bad kid. It’s Britney’s fault. She got me in trouble.”
“So will you help me?”
Danny smirked.
“Yeah, but you said a tattle tail ratted you out? Britney was her name?”
“Yes. I just wanted to check on my toy, but she told on me. I hate her,” Jimmy admitted. A smile grew on Danny’s face.
“If that’s the case, then I’ll help you. But you’re going to have to embrace the bad,” Danny ordered Jimmy, “You go beat up Britney, and I’ll get the toy for you.”
“B-beat up Britney?”
“Yeah. To teach her a lesson for telling on you,” Danny reasoned, “So she learns her lesson and doesn’t do it again. You hate her guts, right?”
“I hate her.”
“Then it shouldn’t be hard. Just beat her up. If you don’t get it, I won’t get that toy for you.”
“But why? Why can’t I just… I don’t know, threaten her?”
“Because that’s not enough. And you’re BAD, so you need to embrace BAD. Sometimes doing bad things is right,” Danny added on, “You’ll get it one day. Now. Are you ready? Because we don’t have much time until recess ends.”
Jimmy took a deep breath in, and then a deep breath out. He nodded.
“Yeah. I am.”
~
Jimmy slowly crept up behind Britney, who was eating a bag of chips alone near the buildings. Jimmy quickly looked around his surroundings. There was no one watching.
Jimmy leaned his fist back, preparing himself to pummel it into Britney’s back, but as he prepared to take the first hit, he felt himself freeze up. Was he really going to do this?
“I don’t want to do this,” Jimmy thought, “I just wanted my toy back.”
Jimmy lowered his fist, and quickly ran away from the scene. Recess would end soon, and Danny would have Jimmy’s toy as promised.
As Jimmy looked back at Britney one last time, he accidentally bumped into someone. Jimmy looked in front of him to see that it was Brenda. Brenda brushed her shoulder and looked at Jimmy with a slick smile.
“What were you just about to do?” Brenda asked.
“Nothing,” Jimmy replied quickly. Brenda laughed.
“Danny asked you to do it, right? Why didn’t you just beat her up? She deserves it.”
Jimmy shoved past Brenda.
“Just leave me alone. It wasn’t right.”
Jimmy stormed off, and Brenda snickered, turning around and looking at Britney.
“You scaredy cat! Did you decide to leave her alone out of the goodness of your heart, or because you were scared of the consequences?”
Jimmy refused to respond, but he thought about it hard.
Why?
~
The recess bell had rung, and it was time to go back to class. Everyone was lining up to get escorted by their teachers back to the classroom. Jimmy spotted Danny in the other line for the other 5th grade class, and as he spotted Jimmy, Danny grinned.
“Yo! I did it as you’ve asked. Now, did you do as I said?” Danny asked, walking up to Jimmy. Jimmy began to sweat. He looked over at Britney, who was standing at the front of the line as she usually did, with not even a scratch on her body.
“Yeah, I did.”
“And did it feel good?”
“O-of course it did,” Jimmy replied.
“Good. That’s how you should feel. I’m glad you understand now,” Danny smiled. He reached into his pocket and pulled out something red and black in color. Jimmy’s eyes began to sparkle. His Spider Man toy… at last.
But as Danny pulled it out, Jimmy noticed something was very, very, wrong. It was Spider Man, alright, but his arm…
His arm was missing!
Danny placed the Spider Man toy in Jimmy’s hand, and Jimmy began to tremble.
“W-what happened to his arm?”
“Oh yeah, the arm,” Danny said. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his arm, which had seemingly popped right off the figure. He put it on Jimmy’s hand, and Jimmy put all his effort not to cry right then and there.
“Sorry about the messy work. When I tried getting it off the bookshelf, it tumbled off and hit the ground pretty hard. Honestly you can’t blame me, the bookshelf’s high even for me…” Danny turned around and noticed his 5th grade teacher coming out. He turned away and began to walk off.
“Well I gotta bounce. It was nice meetin’ ya!”
Danny walked away, and Jimmy looked ahead to see Mr. Hsu approaching. He quickly stuffed the Spider Man toy away in his pockets, and gulped to himself, knowing that he had just made things even worse than they were before.
The rest of the day, Jimmy stared blankly at his desk, unsure of how to feel, and unsure of how to react.
~
As the day approached its end, everyone was beginning to pack up and leave. Mr. Hsu was wiping the whiteboard clean of all of its diagrams, and everyone was chatting away at what they were going to do when they got home.
“Alright class, we have 20 minutes of the school day left. And since Jimmy doesn’t have a toy, we’re just going to have recess until school ends,” Mr. Hsu announced.
“Woo hoo, awesome! Let’s go!” everyone cheered as they began to filter out the classroom. Jimmy got up to leave with them, when Mr. Hsu stopped him.
“Hold on just a moment, Jimmy.”
Jimmy turned white, and gulped. How could have Mr. Hsu caught him?
“Wait a minute… Dag nab it, of course he would notice the toy missing from the top of the bookshelf!” Jimmy realized to himself. Jimmy turned around, wiping the sweat from his face and standing upright.
“Y-yes Mr. Hsu?” Jimmy asked.
“Nothing important. I was just going to give you your toy back,” Mr. Hsu said.
“Oh. Really?” Jimmy asked, flabbergasted.
“Of course. You didn’t actually think I’d keep it until next week did you? It’s more of a school policy, actually. But I don’t listen to the rules all the time.”
“Well that’s great…”
Mr. Hsu smirked.
“You already have it don’t you?”
Jimmy finally burst down into tears.
“Yes, yes I did Mr. Hsu! I know what I did was wrong, I should have just waited until next week and gotten my toy back and I didn’t need to go through stealing my toy back just to touch it again and now it’s broken because I messed up!” Jimmy blabbered, tears running down his face. A frown grew on Mr. Hsu’s face.
“Jimmy, I’m not going to punish you,” Mr. Hsu said, getting down on one knee, “It’s our nature to get back what’s ours. I was like you once too. But sometimes you need to suffer the consequences and take accountability for your actions. Everyone does.”
“I get it, I get it,” Jimmy said.
“Now. May I see the toy?” Mr. Hsu requested, putting his palm out. Jimmy reluctantly reached into his pocket, feeling the grasp of the action figure in his hand. Then he pulled it out, his missing arm rested on his chest. He placed it on Mr. Hsu’s palm, and almost instantly, Mr. Hsu took the arm and popped it right back where it belonged.
POP!
“That easy?”
“Yeah. That easy,” Mr. Hsu responded, giving the toy back to Jimmy, “Now here’s your THE DELUXE SPECIAL EDITION SPIDERMAN WITH DUAL WEB SLINGING WRIST LAUNCHERS.”
Jimmy smiled to himself at Mr. Hsu’s last comment. So he did know what the toy was.
“Thank you Mr. Hsu!”
“You’re welcome Jimmy. And bring him tomorrow, okay? You’ll still have your turn with Show and Tell. Just don’t let me see it tomorrow until then, okay?”
“You got it Mr. Hsu! I promise!”
So Jimmy left the building, and went to the playground to play with the other kids for the rest of the day until school ended. Despite everything that happened, things were… alright.
Jimmys plan
‘I should come inside at recess and grab my spider man stand on some chairs and reach it what if the teacher suspects something’ jimmy thought the bell rang jimmy went outside then while in the crowd he went back in there was a 90% chance this would work right as jimmy snuck into the class room he was almost spotted by a staff member as he quickly went into the class room ‘i should make a replica’ jimmy thought as he went to try to make a replica when he finished it he quickly thought ‘maybe if i get on the teachers desk and grab it’ he got on the teachers desk he was at the point where he could reach his spider man Toy ‘now to grab it replace it and put it in my bag and run for the doors’ jimmy thought he did just that he put his prized possession in his bag and ran for the doors and quickly went out side ‘just in time’ jimmy thought as there were students crowded around his teacher and he was able to get by safely and at the end of the school day his plan had worked he went out of school during dismissal with his prized possession.

BRRRRRRRRINGGGGGGG! The morning school bell rang which meant that class was about to begin. All the students in Mrs. Garcia’s class filed into the classroom and quietly took their seats.
“Good morning boys and girls! I have exciting news today,” announced Mrs. Garcia. “We are going to have a new student joining our class today. She just moved here from Texas and I want you all to make her feel welcomed in our school. I’d like to introduce you to Arianna!”
Although she was very shy, Arianna tried to muster up the courage to say hello. “H… hhh… hi g-g-guys,” she stuttered through the words and had an awkward looking smile on her face. None of the kids in class said anything.
“This girl looks weird,” whispered Beth to Sandy.
“I don’t think she even knows how to talk. That was super cringy,” replied Sandy.
Her face instantly turned bright red at the embarrassment of not being able to utter the simple word “hi.” Arianna got the feeling that it wasn’t going to be easy making friends. Slowly, she dropped her head down and headed to her new seat in the back of the class.
After her introduction, Mrs. Garcia continued on with the rest of class. Quickly, she checked everyone’s homework and the class read a story in their Anthology Book*. The morning passed by fast and now it was recess time.
“Okay Arianna,” she told herself. “Let’s try to make some friends. You gotta put yourself out there! No more being shy. You’re going to step right up and start talking to people outside.”
Moments later, she walked outside and saw herself staring at a sea of kids playing games. Where would she begin? She needed to come up with a way to meet some friends.
* An Anthology Book is a textbook within US curriculum with a set of stories usually meant to teach a lesson (sharing is caring, slow and steady wins the race, etc.). It’s usually meant for elementary schoolers.

“So you see class, you need to put a comma before the quotation mark when you use dialogue in your writing,” Mr. Hsu announced.
Unfortunately, he had droned on and on about commas for the last 20 minutes so the vast majority of the class had completely tuned him out at this point. With only 10 minutes left until recess, every kid in the room was squirming around! Meanwhile, Jimmy’s mind wasn’t on the tetherball court or the handball wall… he was thinking about his favorite Spiderman action figure that was sitting in his backpack.
Normally, students wouldn’t be able to bring toys to class, but today was special. It was Jimmy’s turn for show and tell and he couldn’t wait to show off his awesome toy. This wasn’t any Spiderman action figure, it was THE DELUXE SPECIAL EDITION SPIDERMAN WITH DUAL WEB SLINGING WRIST LAUNCHERS. Jimmy couldn’t help himself. “Just a quick peak. I just need to know Spidey is still there,” he thought to himself.
It wasn’t long until his hand was in the backpack. Then the action figure was out! He thought he would be slick if he played with it inside his desk until… “MR. HSU! JIMMY’S PLAYING WITH HIS TOY IN CLASS!” exclaimed Britney. She was always a tattle tale and he just got Jimmy in big trouble.
“You know what that means Jimmy? That toy is mine until next week. Your parents can pick it up when it’s time. Until then, Captain Spider Thingy is going to sit up here on top of this bookshelf where you can’t reach,” declared Mr. Hsu.
It was as if Jimmy’s heart shattered into a million pieces. It was bad enough that Mr. Hsu
thought it was called a Captain Spider Thingy, now Jimmy wasn’t going to be able to play with
his prized possession for a whole week! He had to get it back. There was no way he was going
home that day without Spiderman by his side. Jimmy had to come up with a plan.
