The dire wolf is absolutely overpowered. It is an excellent mount with no saddle needed. I would highly recommend getting this tame ASAP!

I’m still wondering how they are #1 for collecting angler gel when they aren’t aquatic animals... How are they supposed to get to the bottom of the ocean

Equip a helmet and it will greatly increase the life of your wolf.

I’m on mobile, and I find it hilarious to own wolfs and very practical for one reason : while they have no saddles… you can put YOUR hats on them !! Which means you can recicle your old équipement on them, and as your equipement can have quite high values… well, more tanky wolves for the win !

They can also use your hat skins, which means you can have cool looking wolfs with rex skull helmets, smart one with the nerdy glasses… or even creepy ones with the clown mask.

Only caveat is the hats still have their durability… so be careful !

They are just a much better version of sabertooth

And you don't need saddle to ride them si technically you can be level 20 and have a excellent Mount

Had 2 females and one male and bred them. I have 6 wolves now and they took down a bronto in like 5 seconds. ( with the howl )

Dire wolves are great for you and your base you don’t need a saddle which is good. PS I have a soft spot for this creature.

Amazing tame with flawless speed, attack, and health. This mount is amazing for early or late game. This mount makes a perfect companion, especially in scorched earth. The statistic buffs from this animal being in packs also opens a way for a great multiplayer experience in pvp and pve.

These creatures are beasts on ark mobile. 100% recommend getting one, even if its a low level.

One of my first direwolves (lvl 14) with terrible stats took down 2 sarcos (both lvl 20) and had only lost 300 of its health.

After a few imprints and a bit of stat breeding, my direwolves can take down spinos and rexes. They are only at lvl 35 as pups and have over 1100 health without mutations and levelling. It gets to 1500 with 70% imprint.

Amazing and easy to tame. You can bola it, no saddle required, and on single player you don’t have to give care. One is great, but a pack is simply awesome for almost anything! Tame it ASAP!

With the new buff, they also can detect Purlovia which is hiding

The Direwolf is a vicious wolf that comes in packs, so I will tell you a guide to it. #1. The dire wolf can be found in any snowy area, but also the desert. They come in packs of 3 to 5, so be careful. They also are known to attack mammoths to kill them. They are a really good mount to tame. #2. To tame a dire wolf is simple. All you have to do is knock it out, and put meat in it. If you want a certain one in a pack, kill off the others. They have one attack, a standard bite, but can leap very far, are really fast, and have a pack buff. The pack buff will let you absolutely shred anything in your way. You must have at least 2 wolves for the pack buff. #3. They can be white, dark gray, light gray, sandy colored, brown, or I think black. They will usually be found in hostile territory, so kill any other Dino in the area around them. If you have a lot of high levels, you can destroy almost anything with them.
