They can spawn in packs of 3 up to 5 at a time and when the highest level direwolf in the pack gets close enough to you it will point its head to the sky and howl, then after a second the other direwolfs will howl, after about 7 seconds straight of just howling their heads will turn back down and you will get rekt since they get a buff that increases their damage resistance and damage and also stacks multiplicitively with the mate boost so each one can do 55 damage or more with said buffs.

The best way to tame one of these is to kidnap one using a flyer like an argy then bring it somewhere safer, or kill the other direwolves first, then wearing armor tranq the one you want to tame in the head using a crossbow until it knocks out. Then just feed it food until it tames.

They also won't attack you if you are underwater but dont use this to knock one out as it will most likely be with 2 or more direwolves.

Easily one of the best combat mounts in the game. It's cheap to tame and pretty powerful, and there's no level requirement for a saddle. Make sure you tame more than one though, so you can get the mate boost

These things are great scouts and have amazing damage for their size. Be careful when taming. Try to trap them so they cant hit you or escape when taming. Always make sure you have stamina on them as they dont move fast when winded.

HELMET!!?? You can equip your direwolf with the helmet of your choice!! I just did it on Mobile anyway!

You won’t believe I tamed one of it when I was level 32 and I knock it with club up so more people will see it

Dire wolfs are good for protecting yourbase.

The Yeti cave in ARK Mobile is a great source of high lvl wolves. Grab a high lvl implant, revive, then tame the wolf. I have a lvl 865 with 2000% melee damage...

If you are on foot with a friend and encounter a pack of 6, kick your friend in the balls and dip. The friend will forgive you.....eventually.

If u r on ark mobile, then go in the snow cave because they have double level dire wolves compared to the natural spawn ones but with atleast 1000 total armor(u can check it where the character's stats are shown) and kill some with a long range weapon or very good sword but DO NOT HARVEST THERE BODY and take their implant and run out and collect some amber by collecting drops or by farming easy caves and then revive the Wolf and tame it. BOOM now u have a very high level dire Wolf and u can pump up its stats and use it to do other caves or even this one. Thank you!!

I recommend this it is a beast and you don’t need a saddle for it. I killed a t.Rex but lvl it up before. Leave a up

Doesn't matter if u are noob or not these creatures are one of best why? I'll tell u, they dont need a saddle, they get 2x damage when paired, good hp and excellent dmg after 250, they can sniff back to home and u may not know but u can go to any cave with it.

The dire wolf is absolutely overpowered. It is an excellent mount with no saddle needed. I would highly recommend getting this tame ASAP!
