To survive in the tundra you need to either have lots of campfires or have the certain armour (I can’t remember it’s name) made out of pelt. However pelt is hard to get so I recommend making a boat and stacking it with campfires and plenty of wood. Also stock it up with food and other spare resources and arrows (or bullets). Approach the island from the water and went you start freezing turn on the campfires. Find a safe place to get close to shore and start killing mammoths and other creatures there. As soon as you can I would recommend making the pelt armour and then you can turn off the fires. You can also bring some tames along with you to help. Once you find a pack of wolves I would try to kill the lower level ones and keep the higher level ones. If only one of them is a high level then knock it out and tame it. Then find another pack with a high level of the opposite gender. After taming that one I would bring both wolves back to your boat and go back to your base. Now you can breed the wolves as much as you like to get more wolves.

These suckers hunt in packs so be careful, and as with most dangerous animals, you don't have to be faster than the dire wolf......just faster than the person running next to you

DO NOT GO INTO CAVES WITH YOUR HIGH LVL DIRE WOLF i got jumped by spider snakes and scorpions i couldn’t fight them all off but luckily i escaped 1 up = 1 rip for alpha😔
I watched a pack of wolves take on a Yuty and its two Carno bodyguards. Can't say what happened next, a third Carno murdered me.

The Dire wolf almost always stays in a pack, so when you see one, there are probably more around it. If it hasn't attacked you, turn around and run in the direct opposite way you saw it in.
Better if you kick a friend in the balls and dip.
You can Nila them thankfully! Btw you don’t need any narcotics to use to tame one just bola and beat it up!

I watched a pack of these killers destroy a rex but some of them died in the process but I tried to take them on myself and nearly died. NEVER and I mean NEVER underestimate the power of these killer dogs.
