Craft 2 Stone Foundations Then Craft 6 Stone Doorframes And Craft 2 Wood Ramps (You Can Make Stone Ramps If You Want To) Boom You Made Your Trap Now Lead It In To The Trap Iguanodons Are A Good Pick To Lead It Into The Trap Or On Foot But I Would Recommended Make A Sleeping Bag If Your Doing It On Foot Just In Case Because They Pack A Huge Punch Then Don't Use Crossbows Or You Have A Huge Chance To Kill It! Saddle Is Crafted In Your Inventory

Don't keep on looking for that level 150 bear settle for a LVL 100 or higher than get an explorer note bonus and knock down trees to get LOTS OF LEVELS

YOU CAN USE ARROWS, make sure to bring a dead corpse in trap and force him to hit you and the corpse and this will heal the bear, allowing you to continue shooting tranq arrows

You can either make a stone pen with a ramp and a door way then lead the bear up the ramp into the pen and you can escape through the door, or you can just find a clif or rock the bear can't climb and tranq it from a safe distance.

I used a argy trap, but there are better traps.

I did that because I was taming a argy.

I can’t remember if this can eat anything other than honey.

But honey is good for taming one of these Bears.

They are strong, if you tame a high level, they are very strong.

Get a imprinted one, that would do some good damage.

Seen in the redwoods and snow for the newest players.

If you want to use bear traps , use large ones, and make a line of a couple as these boys are so damn strong they actually may break a few of them trying to get you as you traq them!

Bear trap does work you just need a medium sized one

Lure it into the water and fire with Tranq arrows until it runs. Then knock it out on land and it's an easy tame

Easy. Either get a tapejara and camp on the trees or make a little structure and camp on the roof. Pelt it with tranquilizer darts (or even arrows but not reccomended), guard it with your life and you have what is personally my favorite tame in the game.

You’ve probably read this before but it can beat up Brontos rather easily, has incredible health and fairly quick. And that was my experience from just a level 50. Also it has a weird hitbox that lets it hit twice in one attack(happens with other dinos like raptors but its most common with the dire bear)

Tame a dire bear. You won’t be disappointed.

This was a challenging tame. You either outrun the bear and he stops chasing you before you get in the dino trap or he catches you and eats you. I definitely recommend shooting it from far distance then running. I also recommend getting a friend to help you as they can be bait. It's a tame I recommend though!

ASE build a basic box trap and lure them in. Use Tranq darts if not you'll probably kill it. If using a crossbow place a couple beds by the trap. Use the calculator to see how many hits before it runs and strip and let it kill and eat your corpse before then to refill it's HP. Then you can start using the crossbow. Use honey if you can't use kibble

these guys are one of the best mounts in the game, but don't get fooled, taming one is harder than it looks. they spawn in places where big & small predators are common. it's kinda like taming a Kapro but to a lesser degree, the creature itself is not hard to tame if you are prepared, the hard part is defending yourself and the unconscious creature from other dangerous/annoying creatures.

Don't waste your kibble, use giant bee honey! Easy tame, and a fun battle!

When breeding since bears are mammals their breeding is just like the dire wolf so stay near em they don't lay eggs

Make a trap using 4 foundations and 8 doorways (stone is preferred but wood works if bear is tranqued quickly). Leave a gap between the foundations so the bear can fit. Leave one side of the trap open to lure the bear into and close the open side once the bear is pulled into the trap.

DO NOT tranq&chase, bears are extremely fast and even if you do manage to catch up with them, they likely have aggroed another carnivore (and since they spawn in the redwoods, it is likely they will end up aggroing something as they flee). Use cryopod or bring a dino bodyguard with you after taming to keep the bear safe as it can get quickly overwhelmed on its own in the redwoods and end up dying under the constant threat of attack.

If the dire bear is to strong just build a 6 stone foundation, 10 stone walls and a ramp. Then just attract the bear and run into the thing, you need a lot of tranq arrows or darts (maybe 95) attach them on your bow and shoot, until it's knocked down feed it raw mutton, giant bee honey, prime meat or superior kibble then bam! Free winnie the pooh. Make sure to delete ramp so nothing can go in the pit and attack it while it's down.

Built a trap (with a escape way) in stone or wood(wood is low in health) and shoot a tranq arrow or tranqulizer and guide him to the trap and escape through the escape way and shoot tranqulizer or tranq arrow 😉
