It's pretty easy to tame

1. Bola it (so it can't chase you)

2. Use a slingshot or a club (I call them beaty sticks) to knock it out

3. Add some meat (it shouldn't take much)

Also, remember to dodge the poison spit

Oh also you should have one they kill titanboas. I had one named dila and I lost her in the swamp and she didn’t come back out until I was getting attacked by a titanboa 5 months later lol let this be a useful tip for you in ark, good luck!

Dilos are soooo easy to tame

So firstly, make sure you have at least 5 pieces of meat on you

Then, find a Dilo (I would recommend finding one that’s alone or away from other Dilos as it could alert others)

You can either use your fists or a club to knock it unconscious

Once unconscious, use the meat to tame the Dilo

And now you should have a Dilo!

A dilophosaur is a nice tame early game. The dilophosaur is a carnivore so it eats meat. They typically spawn near or at the beaches of Ark. You can knock they out with your fists but I would consider that ineffective. I suggest using a slingshot to shoot from a distance. The dilophosaur has a short search distance and low health so it isn't to much of a danger. Using a club to KO is nice to I just suggest having light armour and points upgraded in health. After knocking it out put raw meat or raw fish meat in inventory. I usually sacrifice a nearby dodo for meat. It will eat meat and its tame meter will go up. After its reached 100% you will have a dilophosaur! They can kill dodos for you and defend you against compys and other dilophosaur.

Up so noobs can see.

When they go to spit hit or shoot them in the head and jump to the side they will aim up and miss you.

Watch out for there acid it can blind you

These are really easy to tame just dodge their spit and bash them with your fists or club

What you have to do is approach the dilo and start attacking it right when it aggroes , keep punching it until it falls unconscious and feed it the flesh of fallen animals that you probably had punched to death and soon you may have a dilo , be quick to put the meat in the dilos inventory so it doesn’t wake up right when it was gonna be tamed. hope this helps 😄🦖

I tamed Dilos to the max amount of tames and I hit a triceratops and they killed it in like 9 seconds. Get as many as you can. Once you get more skilled, tame a lot of raptors. Dilos are like mini raptors. Once you tame raptors you will be unstoppable. But I guarantee when you are just beginning tame a Dilo.

Could you use a file to slowdown a creature since there spit slows things down, and then put them on passive and tame the creature you slowed easier

To tame them Easily put a pet dodo on passive and put it in front of the silo so that it attacks the dodo when you attack it

Pretty easy to tame them. Just bola then and club them or slingshot them and once they're knocked out out raw meat in their Inventory and you have a 100 pounds of poisonous reptile to call your own.-firebolt

The Dilophosaur is a great starter tame it’s really easy to knock them out really any way works but I just use my fists you hit them a few times and try to dodge their spit once there knocked out you just put some dodo meat in there inventory wait for a bit and when it wakes up it should be your new guard dog and that’s how you tame a Dilo

Great first aggressive tame. You go to em and hack away with a club and just keep hackin and then put a bunch of meat in their inventory. Fast and good fighters esp for low levels. :)

If starting out then these dinosaurs seem to be one of the most easiest way's to get raw meat and hide, given they are a reasonable level (I'd stick to about 20 and below for starting out, anything higher could be really dangerous) along side 'Dodo's', 'Coel' and 'Parasaur's' (which are not aggressive) That being said, if tamed, their eggs which are made into kibble can provide most useful in taming more effective 'resource' dinosaurs such as the; Doedicurus (for stone) and the Ankylo (for Flint, Metal, Crystal and Obsidian). Although don't underestimate these small Dinosaurs, they can/will be very aggressive when nearby. What I found best to dealing with them at a lower level was the spear, attacking whilst 'back-peddling' aslong as you keep getting the hit in. Then harvest with a pick for more raw meat or the hatchet for more hide. Whatever your preference.

Guys so ez to tame it and how: you need an bola then hit with club then feed meat then it tamed

1. Find a dilo once your 2-8 or when you have bola or wooden club

2. Bola and knockout with fists or knock out with bola

3.Shove meat in its mouth

4. Hopefully enjoy ur dilo that spits magical death spit!

I went on a important mission to tame more Dino’s long time ago and I incounterd a very high Dilophosaures so I tamed it so it can join my group but suddenly a raptor attacked me but my dilophsaures stayed and attacked once he killed the raptor I respond on the ground and I went to get what I lost and another raptor attacked me from that day my diophosaures guarded my armor till I requested him to be summoned on my firs base

Very good beginner tame:

First craft bat

Then find a dilophosaur

Run up to it and spam hit with bat

When unconscious feed any meat

Then name it whatever you want
