But now she is gone.

Gone to a Cnidaria.

While defending me.

Let me tell you the tale of Dalia, Destiny, and Skarlet. My Dilo pack.

First time ever playing Ark, was unfamiliar with the game still, but knew the basics. I wandered around the beach and found my first aggressive dino, A lvl 85 greenish colored Dilo. However I didn't know it had a high level, as I assumed that early game creatures would be low level (grave mistake, I know) so I brandished the wooden club I had from the taming dodo pursuit(playing on mobile btw). I snuck up behind it and started whacking it. I didn't have a spear, and my hatchet was broken and I had yet to make a new one, so the club was the best weapon. I originally planned to kill it since it could pose a threat as it was near my base, low level or not. However after getting a few good hits in it eventually started attacking me, which was then when I realized it's level. However, I continued my onslaught and eventually,after losing at least half my health, it fell unconscious. I grab my pickaxe to begin killing it for it's much needed hide, but then I remembered you can tame things in this game (shocking, right?) so instead, I decided to tame it. It was my first EVER tame (aside from that one dod which I killed immediately),so I named the now level 100-105ish level dino Destiny, as it was Destiny that brought us together. After it stood up, I felt a wave of confidence, so I put destiny at my base, healed up, and went Dilo hunting. I found two more, a really pretty red one and a lightly colored greeny. They were wandering pretty close together so I originally thought they were mates. Yet for some reason, that didn't stop me? I wandered closer untill the green one, slightly lower level than what destiny was on, spotted me. I saw no heart and she was female, so the other one was likely female too. Anyway, the lightly green colored one chased me, but luckily the red one hadn't spotted me. I made my first real smart decision and lured her away from her friend instead of staying there to be gangbanged, and tamed her up as well. I repeated the process, naming this one Dalia and bringing her back to my base. I really wanted the red one two, as I really liked the colors, but was running low on meat. Killed some lystros, and went for it. Unfortunately, I forgot to heal, and the red one was a whopping level 115! I nearly pooped, and its bite broke half my cloth armor. I ran all the way to the base, where I debated on trying to take it, or letting my new tames kill it. Then I looked at my stats to see how much health I had, and noticed I still had engram points

I looked, and realized I could learn the Bola engram. I did so, and just BARELY had enough hide to make ONE. I did it, and found the Dilo. Bola flew through the air, and kapow. Dilo trapped. I went up close but was reminded that they could like, spot, so that was an unpleasant surprise. Nonetheless after breaking one club and panicking I eventually knocked her out and named her Skarlet, as a nod to her colors. She was by far the strongest Dilo,.so I took her and named her "Alpha" of the pack of three. Though it wasn't official since the game doesn't have any kind of pack making system in ark. I went to sleep, and awoke the next day.

Unfortunately, some time later I got too reckless and they all died while I for some reason tried to tame a lvl 64 raptor assisted by a lower level mate. I eventually did tame it, but I forgot to leave my dilos behind and they tried to fight it, which they died, but if they and at least one more in their pack they wouldn't have. Also I probably could have helped I kinda just stood away, watching..

I was still fairly new to the game leave me alone :(

The Orinthian Warrior Book 1 Part 10

Dilo had horrible visions last night (yes now I’m calling him Dilo although it sounds RIDICULOUS). First he visiualized the world dissolving before him, and in the next, raging fire… standing firmly higher than the flames was a huge dragon, about 35 times his size. His scales glinted dark red, reaching lighter near the forearms and forelegs. His yellow eyes bore into Dilo’s, and Dilo instantly recognized him as the Dragon himself.

“Everything you see before you right now… is real. I am standing in flames right now, visiting your dreams for a warning… Manticore is alive. He sent the Three Drakes after you. They will HAUNT you… and a Great Propechy is on its way…”

“But why visit ME?” Answered a cold, gruff voice. At first Dilo didn’t recognize the voice. Then he realized it was his own…

“Come forward, for the words I say will change you forever…”

“In a time when the overseers are in chains, the Orinthians will come. In a time when the world starts to frail, the Orinthians will come. The acid-spitter of gods origin, searching ever since the beginning, the rock thrower from the colony of sand, freeing the Ark will soon be at hand. The wyvern of ice who lurks in the snow, must be found and you will know, and the spider from the deep who lurks in the dirt, shalt throw your troubles down with a flirt. Of the three guardians Lysrix, Crystal and Dragon, whom must be found before he who antagons, knows that if he becomes stronger and higher, he will know the location of the Ultimacy Spire. 4 to be found on the darkest day, 4 to be found when the land turns stray, when the world is devoured, one will say, The Manticore is Coming…”

Dilo woke up shivering, and hovering above him, flapping his wings as he flew to the ground… was the ghost of Bluefeathers.

InterARK - Ep 2

Mia wandered around aimlessly, the sand felt like hot coal on her feet. She spotted a bird, a dodo bird to be exact.

The dodo was near a few bushes, said bushes had a few bushels of berries of all sorts of colors.

The dodo was picking at the bush, only picking out the purple berries.

Mia, having not eating dinner, was hungry, and if the berries were good enough for the dodo, it was good enough for her. On second thought, the berries could be poisonous, and the dodo could be the koalas of this world.

But you win some, you lose some, so Mia ran and scared away the dodo, the sound of petrified squaks slowly fading because dodos can't run very fast.

Mia picked out all of the berries, and decided to eat a few. She decided to eat the black ones, since they looked the most delicious.

After she ate some (or, rather, the whole bushel), she suddenly felt very sleepy, and fell asleep (unwillingly).

When she woke up, it was nighttime. Great.

She was still drowsy from eating the black berries, so she didn't think when she saw the red eyes glistening in the moonlight.

High pitched chirping came from the farther away bushes, and suddenly, it clicked; Mia was being hunted. The chirping became louder as more eyes were revealed.

Mia tried to quickly get up, but stumbled and lost her balance, sliding down the sand.

One pair of red eyes crawled out from the darkness revealing sharp teeth and a crested head.

Two more crested heads emerged from the darkness, and screeched, revealing frills on the side of their heads.

Mia quickly got up again, this time with success. She ran across the glistening beach, and into the forest, the sounds of hungry dilos keeping up.

No matter how fast she ran, the frilled creatures always kept up, suddenly she heard the leader screech and spit acid towards her. Luckily, Mia ran fast enough to dodge it.

She looked behind her, and saw... nothing..?

Rule number 4 of all horror movies is don't stop running, even if you think your alone; that being said, Mia kept running.

She found herself on a different beach, she slowly sat down, keeping an eye on each of her sides

Thoughts spiraled in her head, did she really survive THAT? Where even is she? What.. were those things?

Mia shook her head, trying to get disturbing thoughts out of her head.

She curled up in a ball (still sitting), since she was cold. Wait, she was semi-naked so.. um.

She heard a low grumble nearby, and looked around, panicking.

Oh wait, it was just a triceratops.

The trike was just wandering around aimlessly. Maybe not aimlessly.

It's frill was glistening in the moonlight, so pretty!

Mia soon realized that the things that were chasing her were Dilophosaurus. "Wait, no that couldn't work.. those are extinct," Mia thought.

But.. maybe.. that wouldn't be too unbelievable, I mean, a triceratops is walking around basically in front of her.

That brought some MORE questions. Is she in a place were dinosaurs are still alive? Is time travel real? Will she be crushed by a meteor tomorrow?! ...Or is this all a dream?

All of this wondering... all of these questions... if Mia didn't find out something, ANYTHING, as to where she is.. she would basically go insane, or if worst comes to worst, die.

Mia slowly got up, thinking about what she should do on this people-deprived island. One thing for sure, is that she needs weapons and protection. And food. And water.

Mia went to a fallen tree, and, almost upon instinct, punched it.

Ow. Mia grabbed her knuckles in pain. Punching a tree is a no-go.

Mia walked away from the fallen tree and found some leaves attached to a long stick. She picked the leaves and stick up and walked back to where the trike was, and sat it down.

This went on for, an hour? She had collected many sticks, leaves, stones, and- yeah you get the idea.

The sun wasn't going to rise for awhile, so Mia decided to try and craft something, but what?

"Okay," Mia said to herself, "what to do? I could craft something like... a spear? But what happens when I spend too long crafting a spear? What happens when those creatures come back, a-and I have nothing but a stick?!" Mia continued to mutter on, what she didn't notice was that she was biting her nails, and she bit the pink part, the pain snapped her back to reality.

The triceratops grunted, and started to walk towards the pile of materials.

The trike shuffled through the pile, and took out a stick, and sat it away from the pile.

"Hmm," Mia muttered.

She picked up the stick, "Well, I guess I have you for protection," Mia chuckled at the trike.

She began crafting a 'spear', putting thick sticks on top of eachother, tieing them together with thatch. She put the sharpest rock she could find on top, and tied the rock to the sticks.

Behold! A spear as efficient as eating water with a fork!

My para kills all the Dilophosauruse I have seen and I want just one meat eater

So I had 15 Dilo’s, all well upraged for new tames, they all had at least 200 hp which is pretty good when u have an army of them. I took my 15 Dilo’s on an adventure while riding my parasaur. We killed some raptors easily, and we were hunting dodos after that for meat. But for some reason the Dilo’s started attacking triceratops. And then it’s mate came and I’m like, “damn that sucks they all gonna die, oh well I’ll tame more.” But they killed the Triceratops! Then they killed two more! Only two Dilo’s died that day, they may seem weak and they may be easy tames, but if you get an army of those suckers, you can kill almost anything

I found a pack of dilos and killed most of them with my spear since they came at my one by one like bad movie goons; then their queen (alpha?) came along and almost killed me but I hit her till she ran away. Then I realized she was level 105 and decided to tame her. Immediately after she was tamed she killed 2 raptors basically by herself to defend me.

These things may be annoying but they are hella useful as guard dogs.

One time l was running around and I saw a Dilophosaurus and I knocked it out and tried to tame it and another player hit me with a tranquilizer dart and she dropped some meat for me and knocked out a parasaurolophus for me I was so happy!!!!!!

I have one named lucky for her trademark green color and she has survived everything from a 430 lvl theri to a crazy dude with a ascendant sword I love lucky

Make sure you kill these if you are taming a dino because they will ruin your tame.

I had an army of dilophosaurus’s but when I tried to tame a raptor my dilophosaurus’s just killed it instead

1or2 years ago I had a dill and than a carno attacked my base and it killed my dilo and me R.I.P dilo one like please for my dilo

I have like lots of these and they can kill any Dino in my path and spit in there faces so I think I can survive 100 days in ark

CREATURE DOSSIERS : Dilophosaurus.

As much as this animal resembles a poison-spitting miniature version of the 7 meter long Dilophosaurus from the Jurassic era, it is not a member of this species. It's probably realted to the compsognatus, as they are both small predators.

It can be tamed to protect a thatch hut from other small predators and raiders, but it is rather useless once one tames a raptor.

How i got my Dilophosaurus

So one day in ark (the first few days btw).I got 2 dodos,so i was strolling around till i saw a dilo and prepared to attack,and boy was it coming at me already.My dodos fended it off as long as they could,but then my first dodo died,soon my second was on low hp,and i was hacking away at the dilo.BUT my sec dodo ded.so i continued to punch it(my pickaxe broke btw)and it got unconscious,so even if im angry this dilo is a good addition for the sacrifice of dodos.so i did the logical thing,tame it with the remains of my dead dodos.right after that it was tamed,and what i tell you this thing went to survive 2 trikes and a sarco attack with a parasaur his name was george RIP George he died cuz of the second trike we fought,and then i got a new parasaur replacement,so soon i judt got tons of tames.and i also wiped out the sarco population too so boy that was my story of my dilo named Brave soul

So my egg was going to hatch and A DILO JUMPED OUT AND KILLED ME AND...... i lost my baby dilo😭😭😭😣😣😣

Once I was at the other side of my island with my pack of sarcos karpos dilos and more we found a foe we could hunt and it was a thezinosaurs he was a big boy and very plump so we hunted him every bite and hit effected the bird but one claw killed my dilo named hungry he got killed by a thezinosaurs and we were sad we putted a gravestone on where died Rest In Peace hungry you are in the great pack in the sky

my very first tame was a dilo (I forgot it’s name) we went hunting together, (most of the stuff I did with him I forgot, it was a long time ago)

but when I was hunting a trilobite, I killed him with my spear by accident, because I had friendly fire on. one up = one prayer from my first dilo :(

I was with my dilo once called Bob, he was a good dilo he helped me with lots untill we went hunting 😕 he was soooo gooood he was lvl 24 until we saw a alpha raptor, after we started running but it was too late the raptor was chasing us with about 4-5 raptors by its side, Bob…didn’t make it he decided to sacrifice himself for me he attacked them one by one and lost when he got to alpha 😤 so now. I will only take raptors to kill alpha ones. ON HIGH LVLS SCREW YOU RAPTOR….one like for Bob 😕☹️😭😡🤬
