Hit it twice with a pick or hatchet and then finish it off with your fists. It will fall unconscious, open its inventory and give it 10 pounds of raw meat. Wait a little while after about 2 minutes it should be tamed.

Not really hard to get killed. When you get spitted, spit at them back with an arrow. A few shots and they dead. They are dumb creatures and are just a nuisance.

How to tame a dilophosaur for beginners,

Take a club and charge them and keep hitting them till they stop attacking and run (DONT STOP) chase them down and hit them till there unconscious then feed them raw meat. Boom you got it!
