They are not focused on you I recommend having 2 players one distracts and one steals I got 3 in 10 min with this

I wanted to get one on fjordur, so I went to the middle-ish nest spot of the area (around 75, 50) with my argy, Valkyrie. Supper scared till I saw a gigantic Rex murdering the deinonychus at the nests. I just hopped off of my bird and grabbed an 105 egg 😂 no one even noticed! Easiest grab ever.

They grapple so watch out and make sure you’re able to get out of there as soon as possible to avoid death

Fun fact : deinonychus means terrible (deino) claw (nychus)

Just pick them up with your Argy or let them jump on. Then just kill them in the air. After you clear the area go collect your eggs :)

If you want to steal the eggs make sure they're no Deins around or kill them. When I stole the eggs they didn't show up in my inventory.

I use a good argie & kill off the parents then grab all the eggs. Hatch any level 140 & over then kibble the rest. Can get 20+ eggs in 30 min easy.

If you see a pack of them near a good level egg don't go for it unless you got good tames because they will tear you apart

If you get to close to one( on a flyer) it well jump on you and gash you

You cannot outrun these so you must use stealth. When near the nest you must crawl around and use objects to hide yourself from the full grown ones. Secure the egg and get the hell out of there and make sure to run away by running behind objects so it slows them down.

Deinonychus is a very fast and agile creature so be careful when around them and stay out of their agro range.

much like with some other dinos, having one of these suckers latch onto your argy can glitch it and make it so you can't ride your bird. relogging will fix it, I've been unlucky enough to have it happen twice.

Have good enough armor to the point where it is possible to get away from being pinned

Their eggs are EZ to get. You just have to get a high lvl ptera ( or crystal wyvern if you want it less dangerous ) and lure them away with your ptera ( you have to be pretty close to the ground so they aggro ya ) and you have an deino egg! But if you want to be safe Valguero is the map and if you want to be EVEN MORE SAFE! then just get a crystal wyvern ( you have to be 65 lvl to tame it ) you can easily kill the deinos with the crystal wyvern. If you have some pack of 4-5 raptors as bodyguards, is easy to search for Deinonychus’ nests and take their eggs without having a fly mount. In case of some Deinos attacks you, your bodyguard can kill the easily.

I fricking hate these lil freaks, one time I accidentally fell off my argy and died,so I got on my tek parasuar (metal) and went out to find it, two of these lil buds attacked me and my metal. I ran into my base and they followed me in. AND KILLED MY METAL AND ME AND MY ANKLYO STOOD THERE RUNNING OFF. My featherlight and jerboa were safe inside my house. My neighbour tamed a new tek parasuar for me and named it metal, I found my argy btw. #R.I.P metal the 1st. These lil guys are not Gud to mess with if there’s a ton in your island, I’d recommend using a flying mount! :)
