If you have an Argentavis, you can grab a wild Castoroides and plop him in a preprepared enclosure near your base. We originally planned to tame him in there.

Turns out, if you don't tame him, he will eventually build a dam inside the enclosure that you can easily harvest from outside the fence. You just have to tranq him afterwards or he will go and destroy the fence.

Beavers can be picked up by an argent/quetz and will auto collect wood!

They can be used to make a pelt farm that slowly increases on efficiency here’s how step 1 tame a male and female beaver have them mate and claim the baby if it’s male kill it and harvest the pelt if it’s female let it grow up and mate it and rinse and repeat

As a begginer i found myself constantly low on nacro berries and wood... then i tamed this guy and boom no more problems! Thatch and fiber is my therizno (thunder chicken)

These guys are neutral, Just dont harm them or enter the dam's inventory, They will try to kill you, but if you are scared or want to tame them, Then just use a bola.

I recommend taking the most high level casteroid and taming then kill the others for pelt

Wall off some part of water and drop a few in boom lost of cp

As soon as you have a mount, ( even a parasaur ) If you find a dam, rob it immediately. It isa life changer.

In mobile at least They carry metal battlements in the wild so if you need one of those or need metal ingots on easy or medium then just snipe a couple of these but do not get into melee combat with them they are vicious.

It gathers wood better than the mammoth but the mammoth has better carrying weight. Bring the beaver for short trips near your base and bring the mammoth for the longer wood gathering binges
