1. Search area near dam and make sure beavers aren’t too close

2. Equip bolas, open dam, and quickly grab everything that isn’t wood then get out of the menu.

3. Swing bola until you see the beaver(s) charging at you, let it get close enough that you can’t miss and then bola it.

4. Tranq with headshots, preferably with darts. Even better if you have an Argent, pick it up and fly it to your base to tame - they will likely lose aggro mid flight so when you land at base it’ll just start wandering around again. Unless you have the kibble use Mejoberries - crops don’t actually work much better and are far more accessible.

When trying to Tame this creature make sure to bring atleast 1500-1800 narcotics. Although the narcotic’s are way off bring atleast that and kibble. Or veggies. And watch his topor because the creatures topor drops 5x the rates of a normal Dino.

My advice for the island is look at the edges of swamps their dams tend to be built in that area and keep a flyer close because once you start to tame them they have a weird tendency to attract titanaboas...

When taming these thing be prepared to sit with it for a while and don't let it out of your sight because their torpor drops insanely fast

Ark hates tamed castoroides and will go out of its way to kill them or glitch them

To efficiently gather wood, carry with argentavis to trees. The beaver will bite the tree from the talons of the argent as long as his mouth is close enough to the tree

If you take the beaver to the swamp and ride edge you can. Gain Insain amount of berries. This is very useful for getting narcoberrys,plant species, and rare flowers

Wild casteroids will build beaver dams... these can be accessed as an inventory and generally have wood, cementing paste, and some sort of rare item, either flowers or mushrooms. Just only access these when no casteroids are nearby, as they will agro when you open it

If you are farming cementing paste then once collected kill The ones that start chasing you than wait 5 mins than another should appear this is how I do it

Taming takes FOREVER I had the fastest rate of taming setting on, and it took me 3 times of it waking up and I gave up

Ya right this needs 4 bio toxin, I’m almost out of my third stack

I started hunting one for the pursuit and It took me around 10 minutes of waiting patiently for it to get close enough to the water surface for me to pick it up with my Argy.

if you find a one of these over sized slobs dams loot them hold down and loot them I use to have 10 wood now I have 1990 and a lot of mushrooms and rare flowers EPIC FIND and kill the beaver first or it will kill you pets and feast on you liver Lol

All I did was shoot a low level beaver with tranquilizer darts and feed it some citronals. It took me quite some time, but I got it. I do think it should be able to build beaver dams after taming. If you’re wondering how many narcotics I used, I used somewhere around 100 narcotics. I can’t remember how many I used. I think it was level four when I tamed it, and I was using citronals on Mobile ARK. I would recommend overpacking with narcotics and citronals because you don’t want to accidentally run out of supplies mid-tame. Hopefully this helps you get your very own beaver! :)

These things don’t give up once they start chasing you, I ran into my yard and closed the gates so it couldn’t get in, so it started to eat my wooden spikes, like dismantling them fast, you get loads of wood/cement/wildflowers from them though, I take a sarco and demolish them..

If u wanna farm cp just find a bunch and carry them somewhere secluded all together as long as it is by water. This way u can easily farm cp from their multiple dams
