Fly up to a cliff or ledge that it can’t reach and use tranq darts. Tranq arrows will work too it will just take longer

I just found level 27 alpha Carno it’s a good level I’m on easy easy and then searched up why my tranqs don’t work then realised you can’t tame alphas 😭😭😭😭 wasted a ton of tranqs

Just get the high ground a rock should work

8 tranq arrows from a crossbow knocked out my carno she was lvl 33 used 7 narcotics and 30 +/- raw meat (not prime) took about 15 mins give or take she was extremely close to waking up but i was going to get crystals not a carno so i wasn't prepared 😅

In reference to carno kibble: you can use cooked fish meat in place of normal cooked meat. Fun fact!

U can get one early game doesn't matter your lvl as long as you got a sling shot.

So first craft 2 sling shots yes two.

Put them in your hotbar and farm rocks along beaches or hit large rocks with a hatchet, next find it carno don't attack yet find high ground high enough to where it can't climb keep smacking it with ur sling shot and slowly but surely it will go down it'll take about two minutes then feed it some prime meat or raw meat it honestly doesn't matter and feed it some narcotics or bio toxins or in my case I gave it soothing balm and yeh that's it there are great creatures nice base stats great speed good health destroying melee attack can't wait till I get a saddle for it

Taming a carno isn't that hard or slow. One you have knock out the carno best food is prime meat or mutton. Don't use carno instantly.

They are easy to tame i knocked a level 115 out with about 6 tranq arrows and its almost fully tamed

I got on a high place that dinos can't reach with a Pteradon and shot narc arrows at it and it was a very easy non life threatening method

I suggest waiting until it chases you then get on rock/cliff and use tranq arrows to knock out.

How to a Carno 1 get a cross bow 2 get tranq arrows 3 find a Carno 4 when you have found the Carno you want tame if I don’t build a trap hop on a rock high enough then you can start shooting.

Alright listen up. Make a foundation floor 2x2 somewhere near a carnk you spot. Next build a doorframe walla round the foundations 2 high. Finally add WOOD RAMPs on one side of the box. MAKE SURE YOU USE WOOD RAMPS STONE IS TOO SHORT. Finally shoot the carno and run for your life into the box and run out through one of the doorframes when it falls in.

Taming with raw meat takes ages so bring a trike for protection

I’m only lvl 64. I tamed my first carno. All I did was put a few tranq dart on it and it knocked out. I killed and alpha raptor and had a surplus of prime meat. So far, it’s been great for me.

They are easily tamed with a crossbow and about 6-9 tranq arrows

Carnos are fast so get on top of something when taming it unless your high level

What you need to do is get a ptranadon and go back and forth with a crossbow and tranqs

I found it to be quite easy about attacking it while sitting on my boat with tranq arrows. Three shots and it was out cold
