I’m just asking about how on earth do you color dinos?!

These guys can be so annoying to tame and find sometimes. You find one and get two scenarios:

1. Oh shit! Let me tame one! I can just brute force it or make a trap- huh wait, where are you goin- no focus on me! Stop fighting the local compy! Those Trikes are going to kill you, stop!

2. Oh finally found one, I see it's busy eating. Let me park my Argy... now where were we- wasn't it here before??? Hold up getting on my Argy back... There it is, looking for fight. Park my Argy. Let's go tame one! ... where is it????

Carnos can stuck between trees like Trikes. I was lucky I got a Carno Lvl 60 at Hidden Island between a couple of trees. 10 tranq shots later she (a female Carno) was mine 😊

Once I was in the swamp on half health, hide armour and a simple longneck rifle and simple handgun. One or two shots with the rifle and a round of pistol bullets and it was dead. That’s how I and you can survive a carno encounter.

You also have to be LVL30 or over

I just want to say why is everybody doing traps and stuff!!

All you need to do is get on a cliff or rock that it can’t reach you and shoot it with tranq/biotoxin or even with a slingshot you can do this with rexes and theris too.

Build a taming pen on a raft

Go to carnivore island

Capture a carno

Return to base

Knock it out

You have a carno

How to kill a carno

Please note: this strategy only works if the carno is next to raft accessible waters

You will need: arrows, bow, and raft

1: based on the level difficulty, get as many arrows as you think you need

2: find a carno* on a raft and get within shooting range. Remember not to get to close

3: dismount your raft and prepare your bow

4: shoot it down

Hope this helps! This strategy worked for me with the no bola, better run mission.

* best place on mobile for carnos is the dead island

Taming a carno is definitely worth it. They are fast, have amazing damage, good weight, and they are tanks. I have a female carno named Mei. It took me forever to tame her bc i didn’t have anky eggs lol (mobile carnos prefer anky kibble). But in the end she was tamed, and like i said, it was definitely worth it! Consider taming one yourself~!✨👍

A Very under rated tame. High lvl Carno with a decent rider is capable of huge destruction. My Carno Hugo can take 3 theri and multiple troodons at once and not even bat an eye. Hes even took low lvl rex. A must have early game and even mid/end game is still a reliable mount.

I knocked one out but it’s not showing anything like taming rise stats, is it a glitch or is my player level too low ( I’m Lv 72 rn) any help would be greatly appreciated:))

Don't fight it instantly Go build a trap from door frames and 2 Ramps Then Lead the crano there and There you go You got a carno

To tame these tiny armed Dino you should make a trap 4/6 fountains 2 thick 2 door frames high door frames because most Dino’s can’t fit in them but you can escape from all around and 4 wooden ramps so the carno can get in then you make the trap you can use wood but I would recommend stone carnos can’t brake stone and 2 cross bows or 4 bows and lots of nars especially if your on official normal u should be fine so how the taming goes so get your trap ready so shoot it with cross bow far away form it because it’s faster then you so when it about to hit you jump in to the trap when the carno is in get out and start nocking it out hope this was helpful for you all

First of there should be tek carnos that drop tek horns and second of all i f*cked one up with a longneck from probabaly a hundred yards on my stego.

If you want to tame a carno prefer using a crossbow and tanq arrows if your gonna take a high lvl one then your gonna need like 10-15 tanq arrows but they can get down pretty fast on lvl 1 cause you need only 2 tanq arrows and a cross bow/up so starters can see

EZ Trap-less Taming Method

⚠️Do not attempt this if the Carno is in a pack!⚠️

Ride a raptor with your taming weapon of choice, preferably a bow + tranq arrows or better. As long as your raptor isn’t encumbered you can out run the Carno! I suggest pumping some movement speed points in your raptor but this is not necessary (I didn’t). Shoot the Carno with your tranqs and chase it once it flees. They’ll be knocked out and then you’re free to tame it! I did this on a lvl. 55 female Carno and it worked (I named her Éclair).

If your up against a lvl 5 carnivore or something it usually has about 450 torpor so around 10 tranq arrows would be enough, if you have a trike and your shooting arrows from it you will probably be fine as long as the trike has more health than the carno. I hope this helps starters!

There guy are ez if you know what you’re doing. But if you are low lvl (under 10) just stay away. But 20 and over theses guys are pretty good for taming. Pretty fast. Pretty good damage. You’ll need tranq arrows. A bow. And random passive you found. (bronto little cousin works best with good health and will only knock it back but no damage) Don’t use a dodo. Just don’t. First, have your stuff. Then find one and lead it to a decent health passive and run past the passive and hopefully it targets it. Then knock it out. Give it meat. And be annoyed that it takes so long and you’re in the middle of redwood.
