All you have to do is get your bow and tranq arrows and climb a rock and shoot it till unconscious then gather prime meat if don’t have kibble

Does anyone know in what area I can find alpha carnos?

I was fighting some dodos with my new tamed Carno and then a Theri attacked me. Whith the knockback attack i easly took him out! Use it and you‘ll be able to fight anything!

Low level players tips : 1.find carno

2. Make distance and equip bow and tranq arrow

3.shoot and run

4. Go in any climb high hill

5. Carno can't climb the hill

6. Shoot continuously

And carno can unconscious use ankylo kibble tame faster

If you have started a new game and are thinking about taming a carno comenly a carno will be found on hills or in swamps

Outclassed by Allos somewhat but a good early-mid game mount (especially since Allos can be very hard to tame considering how hazardous the regions they inhabit are).

They are fast and have a slim profile making them great for traversing the forests and the coastlines, their bleed lets them tear through otherwise tanky dinos with some work. However they are not good for handling the bigger dangers on the Island since they don’t get any pack benefits and are pretty frail, luckily their speed lets them escape most dangers.

They are easy to tame I took like 31 meat and tranks on the open it dropped before it got to be about 5 tranks in the head used a soothing balm and it was done taking first round lol

My lvl 458 daeodon named Pumba with 50k+ hp and 2k+ melee killed the lvl 198 alpha variants of this thing like it was nothing lmao

Get right under it's belly it can't bite you there then turn around and shoot at it's face there headbutt still works and it doesn't work on alphas

How to tame a carno.

1. Get to level 21 and unlock tranq arrows

2. Craft tranq arrows

3. Go to a spot with minimal other predators (the island right under the rhynogantha swamp)

3. Shoot it until it falls

4. Think to yourself, why did all these people say to build a trap

5. Give it meat

6. Realize the saddle is not at level 21 😟

Why make a dodo 🦤 meat farm when you can get three of these and set them on aggressive.

For taming, just make a 3x2 trap made off 2 Block tall stone doorframe. Lure it in and place the last doorframes in the entrance or use ramps to get it in. Easy

Since nobody understands that this section is for tips, not stories, ill give my best advice. At a low level, these things will be pretty dangerous. If you can't avoid them, get up on a rock, and shoot it until it's dead. Once you hit a certain level, they become little more than a nuisance. They're fast, so be prepared for them being able to outrun you.

(Mobile only)Use tranq arrows with a crossbow, then use soothing balm(10 ancient amber) and then feed the carnotaur meat or kibble

OKAY SO I've made a 2x2 stone foundation with ramps, stone walls and door frames (they can't break stone). I have it 2 walls high, but she keeps HOPPING OUT. So I think I'm going to try 3 and see if that helps. By the way, I'm basically just surrounded by Carnos. So no Trike help for me lol

Carried me trough even an alpha carno,can fit in clever and hunter cave(makes for easy chitin grind)

Overall a great dino,can be used for kibble farming

Carnos spawn most often in: the element falls region of Aberration. The mountains of scorched earth are also a good place to look.

Carnos are in the Redwood forests and often spawn individually or in pairs. I recommend getting high up on a rock or shoot them with tranq arrows (aprox 9-10) while they are distracted with another creature. They take about 6-7 prime meat to tame (which you can get from diplodocus, titanboas, or any larger creature). Hope this helps!

You can use a normal argy trap to trap it. 18 walls (use door frame option), 1 stone gateway, 1 stone reinforced gate, 2 stone ramps at the front. Lead the thing into the trap and then run out the doorframe, go around to the front and close the door. Once its trapped tranq it out and tame. Its kibble is medium, or you can use prime meat.
