To tame one get 1 stone gateway 6 stone foundation 16 stone doorways and 1 stone gateway door. Put the 6 foundation's like □□

Then put 8 doorways on the foundations and the rest on top of the doorways dont put them in the front of the trap. Now put the gateway so on your front of the trap and place the gate for the gateway. Lure a carno/any medium carnivore into the trap.

When its in go to the doorway closes to the gate and through the opening of the doorway do close door.

You have now trapped your carno/any medium carnivore.

Tamed a level 4 in less than 20 minutes wroth raw meat, app said it'd be 54 minutes. Update?

If your a high level its like a dodo bird but If your 20 and less then just bola your Friend and you will be fine

I personally have tamed them in mass amounts using a ballista turret on a raft made just for taming, and have someone gun it down with tranqs.

low level Carnos are very easy to knockout with tranq darts from the longneck rifle. aim for the head. you can shoot from a distance by time they reach you you hope they are knocked out. if not run for the hills.

Use quetzal to drop them in a taming pen (2x3 worked for me) the you have a save, easy tame.

Took a level 42 carno down within 3seconds with 2 narc arrows! Highly recommend a good distance as very quick. Not to be underestimated !

Even when I was level 14 I managed to knock this out with a bow from the side of a cliff, then I could easily kill it. It gave me a ton of Xp and it was pretty easy

Pick it with your skiff, drop it in a stone box. Knock out at your leisure and use regular kibble. Only tame two, get good levels opposite gender and breed from there on out, unless an event gives good colours then get a low level colourful one to introduce into your breeding line.

Very easy to find a high level one on "the island map". Go to the island in the upper right corner of the map, its known as carno island, but I call it carnivor island cause theres more than carnos there. You can find Raptors, alpha raptors, scorpions, carnos, arges, sabers, and rexes. I suggest looking towards the shore, it isn't as dangerous, and its easier to spot enemies if you already knocked something out. There is an abundance of carnos so finding a good level one is good. And be careful when knocking one out that it doesnt get knocked out in water, they will drown, I lost a level 120 and 150 like that, dont be me! Large bear traps will work on carnos, but depending on how high the level, the more you will need, I suggest 2-3. Knockout with either darts or the tranq arrows. And prime meat is easiest, just let it starve out long enough, you can use kibble but I prefer prime meat.

EZ tame. Take crossbow with tranquilizer arrows. Equip Flak Armor. Go to Carnotaurus of your choice. Get on ground with it. Let it smack you while you tranquilize it. After knockout, place narcotics in inventory with raw meat/raw prime. Tame Carnotaurus. Bring home.

If you just knock it out with a tranq dart and give it meat it will take like two seconds to tame with smoothing balm but if it’s above 20 you might want to get something they like better then meat like a type of kibble

These are super easy to kill if you have a pike

On MOBILE-

Great creature to have in any point of the game, I tamed a level 100, I think it got to like 120 after the tame, and I leveled it up to 4000 hp, 400-500% attack, and 800 weight, I took on a level 80 alpha raptor, now I'm just looking for a higher level mate for it to make some strong babies.

After dlc, they got better but way scaryer, with there main attack degenerating armor and there second doing that bleed, a trap is heavily advised

You don’t need taming pens to tame a carno. Just make some big bear traps and shoot it with tranq arrows. When it runs away just shoot some more arrows while making sure not to kill it and it will get knocked out. Then feed it regular meat and have some narcotics ready

Try and get a pteranodon and use it to get far away then load it up with tramways while it’s coming to you by the time it gets to your you’ll have 3-4 arrows and it will start to run when it does you know your close good luck

Really easy to find they spawn in red woods or in the jungles and a alpha spawns in the mountains pr the red woods

I have a strategy to build towers around my island on my single player game so stuff can’t reach me so I finally got a carno around my house and I got to to the top of one of my towers so I could tranq it and I seriously suggest this strategy :)
