I almost died in the water because a carno was attacking me and my raptor charlie when i kept shooting its belly with a crossbow with 30 tranq arrows it ran and i knocked it out and left it there ( i dont know how tame it because i did not plan to tame it ) thankfully charlie did not die

I found a 435 alpha carno in redwoods while trying to tame thylacoleo like wtf?, It had like 85k health

What is the best strategy to kill alpha carno

Runs away after just a few shots/hits, depending on the level. Generally flees very quickly. Would be easy enough to kill. In the early game though, it's a pest to low-levels. You can tell you're being chased by the iconic pursuit sounds of its feet. My advice is, steer clear until you have the crossbow, or at the very least a bow.

Just put levels I’m movement speed and shoot it with a gun works everytime

Make a thatch foundation, 2 walls, 2 ladders and a ceiling. Shoot it from there. When it starts running, chase it and keep shooting.

First make a square of 4 doors.craft a large bear trape and place it in the square of the doors. Get a pteranodon,open one door,mount the pteranodon And then lead the carno to towards the door. Don't fly too fast. When he is close enought lead him right in front of the door and then agro it and stop on the bear trap. Look back if he is coming. If he is getting too close fly up. You will hear a voice which means the large bear trap has got it. Now dismount, don't panic.close then open door. now take the advantage of glitches. His head and tail can be seen outside. Shoot it's head with traq arrows.

Things u'll need - a pteranodon with some health over 1k. (Pteranodon saddle at level 38)

4 stone door frame and doors

Take 20 narcotics if you don't want to take any risk

1 large bear trap

And prime or raw meat.

To get prime meat kill diplo. They just push back no harm.use your pteranodon

This isn’t really a tip but, can u add tranq arrows for knock out?

If you get a high level, (around 80 or higher) you basically have a low level Rex. Spam the right click if you’re in a risky fight so you can knock the enemies back. Pump stamina, health, and melee if you want to kill alphas. They’re also good for caves.

Iguanadons with a mildly ampee speed do great running from them as long as they are on all 4 legs. They have 2 settings for movnent. Upright and all fours. If ur gonna be near it. I suggest u get ur iguanadons above 500 health and be ready to constantly run. I'd use a beat trap as a lure but if ur a damn good shot, metal bolas should work too. Regular ones just tickle it's toes

If ur on a single player use another controller and make it split screen use that to be a bait pump the health and make it a bait whe ur player tranq it just make sure that it get aggro on the bait player which is the second controller player ;)

I’m taming a 150 carno now raw meat takes aaaaages I advise you find some sheep around to get some mutton or summat coz although it was relatively easy to knock out being stuck between two rocks with some dilos crawling around its feet the time it takes is beyond a joke

I hate these things more than I hate taxes. Get movement speed to a solid 134%. I've found that you can out run them with that. If you're in red wood run to a dire bear for safety even if it's wild just don't go too close. I've never seen a carno kill a bear. Collect the carno's prime after this and enjoy ;).

For the no bola better run it is pretty easy to kill them using a person 2nd alt move mine is a high level around 40 so be careful I would just go to the redwoods get on a big boulder with a flyable in case they could damage you and just spam it with arrows

If you are going to tame a pack of carnos tame a yutirannus.

If bruse wyane implant is glowing you can rivive it in obelisk

Finally tamed my first carno! 😁 pretty easy just get on a high rock or cliff and shoot with tranc arrows! Took me a while to take though, first one drowned, second was killed by a bronto, 3rd got away 🤣😅 4th was a charm! Level 3 though :( but I can get him levelled up!!
