1. Make a simple trap out of 4 stone foundations, 12 stone door frames and 4 stone stairs.

2. Lead whatever Carno you are taming into the trap (I recommend a fast Pt)

3. Shoot arrows or darts at them

4. When it is unconscious and shove meat up there butt

5. When it wakes up name it a weird name and you have a carno

Even low level Alphas are very powerful. I took on a level 3 alpha with a level 19 spino and a level 43 argent. Lost them both.

I've developed a method for taking out these beasties whilst you (and, hopefully, the carno) are still in the lower levels. Grab yourself a bow and a few handfuls of tranq arrows, and then play a game of 'catch me if you can' with your foe. (Hopping up on rocks, running in a zig-zag pattern, and taking advantage of tree trunks works well for me.) As you're running and dodging, lob as many arrows as you can into the beastie's snout. Fair warning: you're going to get bit. But a dozen or so arrows later, the tables will turn, and the Carno will attempt to make a run for it. At this point, just trail behind and wait for them to drop. Voila! Either dispatch or domesticate the fallen fiend. I don't know how many I've ended in this fashion, but enough to have faith in the functionality. The highest level Carno that I've taken out with this sprint-and-shoot method was only about a 30, however. Of course, this'll become redundant once you become powerful enough to take one head-on.

Just get highgroumd and bow some narco arrow and shoot them and for eat give him prime meat and some anesthetic fluid and u got him and when u want kill a just tame a few raptors and it’s dead

Get on a raft and kite him in the water. He swims almost as good as a rock.

If you find it on a beach, get as far as you can in the water without swimming, then use crossbow with tranquilizer arrows. When it runs, still fill fill it up with tranquilizer arrows.

I remember that i had a run in with a carno i had a spear and hide armor i tryed to run but couldnt so i attacked and it did like 10 percent of hp when it attacjed it had 939 hp prob and i won

When I first encountered a carno I had a lucky escape.it attacked from behind and sent me flying and I did not know what hit me but I ran until I fell of a cliff the carno followed and got stuck so get them stuck.

If you wanna tame Carnotaurus in ARK build a trap using structures like stone gateways or bear traps, lure the creature inside, then use tranquilizer arrows or darts to knock it unconscious. Feed it raw mutton, raw prime meat, or regular kibble for the best results.

We should really get cryopods on mobile, I’ve just had to drag my carno all the way from the western coast to the southern islets.

This creature is often overlooked as people who want power Tame Rexes and people who want speed tame allos

this creature is probably the cave mount anyone could ask for: it’s fits in to 6/7 cave (exception cave of the sky lord) and is powerful enough to take every creature in that cave. (Not true for the ice cave)

When you encounter a wild Carnotaurus in or near a forest, walk towards him, so that he is between you and the trees. He will go away from you to attack you with his charge run attack. By doing so he has a high chance of getting stuck between the trees. Now you can knock him out savely. But remember to chop down the trees when he is knocked out, because when he is tamed he will start running and bugging when the trees are still there.

For carno your gonna need a fast rideable creature or a flying one, then get tranq arrows or anything that can get it’s torpor down that you can use far away then shoot (Crossbow or Bow) and then run on your creature then move far away and lead to a safe spot or trap then shoot and repeat feed it prime or meat both work and you have your own early mid killing machine (for most creatures)

I’m a new player and i have a house on the beach with a parasaur (playing for 3-4 days) and this thing comes and kills her and then stays there for so long i was just hiding in my house not doing anything lmao im too scared xD

You will need 24 stone door frames or 16 I was building a rex trap until I realized it was to small, 4 stone foundation 6 wooden ramps or 4, 20-30 narcotics, Tranq arrows or darts, a flying creature to ride and then lead it into the trap. Feed it meat or kibble and bam u have yourself a carno.

I remember just cooking some food and a carno jumped of a cliff while chasing a phiomia and it jumpstarted me and killed my dilo and worst thing is I was level 4 and he was level 22 so he spawn killed me till I made a new account

The carno's drops aren't very good so try to tame it.
