This guy is always nice and oiled up

Every time you punch a basilosaurus or feed it any mantas, megalodons, or ichthyosauruses near it will automatically take one damage (you probably wouldn't notice this as they automatically heal it back but they will make sound effects as if they took damage) then become angry and start chasing you.

I play in mobile if u ride a icthyosaur while taming it the manta's won't attack u

On The Island, I always find very quickly in the waters near South Beach, around 65 longitude. They're generally not difficult to spot, due to the swarms of Mantas and Ichthyosaurs. Though it's only happened to me once, I've found one stuck between a large rock and the beach itself, at the south edge of the rocky penninsula near 50 longitude.

i LOVE them. they are super nice tames. they are basically big itchys on steroids. and are just as fast. love em love em love em!

Quick note wont produce oil for force feeding. Will only produce oil when they eat on their own. So if you want free oil, don’t put a cone of shame on them.

It does not work underwater, tame it with 6 kibbles

On Ragnarok you can find a ton of these inbetween the two little islands in the bottom left corner. If your bad like me and have taming speed on 3x if you find one under level 69 it will instantly tame with exceptional kibble. You will die but your bassilo will kill the mantas then you have a bassilo

I just tamed a male I named him Riptide and he was killed by 7 megs and 3 mantas 5 seconds later rip riptide

I don’t know why, but nothing in the sea agrros on the dolphin. So it’s best slowly killing the mantas and then feed the basil

best creature ever can't be shocked by jellies, can't be grabbed by squids, does LOTS of damage, heals super fast at surface, and drops only raw prime meat and oil.

Dododex has its stats all wrong the amount of food or kibble is correct but the time is way off.

If you feed a basilo its first feed.

It will take roughly 2-3 mins untill 2nd feed the time is different if it's an evo weekend 3x it takes 29 seconds inbetween each kibble feed

If you punch, or feed a wild basilo the 3 mantas that spawned with it will each take 1 damage then become aggressive towards you same goes for ichthys and megs that get close

Tame a baryonyx and move close to a basilo with mantas around it. Don't attack but let them aggro on you move away from basilo and tail stun/attack mantas till they are gone. Feed prime meat or mutton and wait forever for second feeding. Once it is hungry again it is only a few seconds between the remaining feedings but it can be 15 minutes between 1st and 2nd.

When Taming: DO NOT CHANGE THE FOOD YOU ARE USING TO MAKE IT GO FASTER, IT WILL DRAIN IT’S PROGRESS. Ex: Using meat then switching to prime then back to meat.

If you wanna tame a good level Whale without waste sources gathering a Bary, you can Just use a fast mount tho hit mantas around the Whale and then make they follow you tho a secure distance from Basilossaurus.

Best underwater creatures to tam. They produce oil but the oil CAN spoil. Weight is wonderful. Stamanis is decent. Not very fast under water. Rgains health quickly. Don’t need to knock out passive tame. 1st underwater creature in ark to tame.

Watch out for its manta cult the ocean pancakes will sacerfice u
