It's best to get a baryonyx to stun and kill every manta around it

Is not affected by Cnidaria or electrophorus shocks, this in addition to its surface healing makes it a great mount

I tamed one of these of a 170lvl by feeding it raw meat and using a soothing balm. You had better use a soothing balm on high/med levels like mine but the taming process drops, so that's why you should use one. PRO TIP: Basilosauruses (Wild/Tamed) can automatically produce oil, so tame one! It will be really useful! Personally, I love these sea sausages, they are really useful and lovely!!!

Not to hard to tame, they like to stay near the surface and they usually spawn more in the northern part of the island. Prime meat is the best to use, and remember it’s a passive tame and it won’t aggrieved unless you it but watch for mantas which will follow the basilo and attack you when you feed it, after the first feed it takes a couple minutes to feed again but after the second one, it only takes around 10 seconds for each feed.

These dudes Are gods of the seas cuz they don’t get effected by jellyfish and they have lots of hp and they are tanky and they can go very deep and mine killed a level 90 megaladon and he was level 29 and he won without a scratch I tamed a dunkleo with a Basilo long story short always tame a basilo (mini tip) always bring scuba gear if u have some if ur going deep in the water

To anyone, all the nasty in the ocean will aggro on you regardless of whatever water mount your on in the PC version, so that must be a mobile only thing.

I found that you can use sarcos or itchys to tame these creatures just hit one of the rays and lure them away then after the very long first to second feeding after that it takes like 15 seconds to feed again

I have a level 300 basilo and it has a hp of 42000 and a melee of 404 ,now it is currently a beast which can't be killed even by Alfa moso

Mantas=everyone else

Haven’t seen anyone talking about this, but wild Basilos are useful in another way: taming lots of Mantas!

The Mantas that spawn around Basilosaurus are still dangerous, but unlike other Mantas they WON’T aggro if you’re simply nearby or accidentally touch them. With enough AnglerGel, you can tame a whole school without a problem and then tame the Basilo after you’re done. Plus now it’ll have its own personal bodyguards!

Just watch out for other wild Mantas, though. If you aggro them, even the Basilosaurus’s Mantas will attack you.

The one I came across had mantas around it...LOTS. thought I killed em all... Nope. Make extra sure you kill them, and look around a bunch before attempting anything with it

Idk how no one has said this yet. If you want to tame one in mobile just use an ichyosaurus. No one attacks you and they are incredibly fast. The perfect underwater tame. Also useful for any other underwater thing cos even if u attack something it doesn’t attack back. Except moss for some reason. Anyway up for free underwater tames

After first feed on a 150 with kibble it won’t be hungry for almost 5 mins.

I recommend erheir raw prime, or raw prime fish meat.

I tamed mine with raw prime fish meat only, no soothing balm. I actually was pretty lucky, because a basilo spawned next to a leed, and a leed spawns next to a basilo. So I took all the leed's raw prime fish meat, and put it in my Bary. I fed it constantly, aware of oxygen.

Finally, I tamed it and named it Silo. Saddles are suprisingly unexpensive. These also spawn by Herbivore Island. Along with leeds. So I you see a basilo, look for a leed if you a trying to find one. Everytime I see a basilo, I see a leed. Be careful! When you feed it the mantas attack. Recommened mount, baryonx. Baryonx will stun the mantas, and you will be able to feed the basilo while on baryonx too. They come in variants of dark blue, or a pink, magenta color. They have a good bit of health, and do not aggro on you when you get close to it. Have fun with your basilo, if you read this. Goodbye -TinaZ

Two things I found to make these incredibly easy to tame:

1. Baryonyx - this guy will destroy the mantas and anything else that will threaten your taming

2. Scuba gear for ease of life underwater for the next 10 mins

Job done!

It will keep you warm while you are underwater. It is also immune to Electrophorus and Cnidaria, but it will lose life when it is too deep

Take care... They are surounded by Mantas which block you... So you can't run away. 10 of them kill almost everything.

On Ragnarok you can find a ton of these inbetween the two little islands in the bottom left corner. If your bad like me and have taming speed on 3x if you find one under level 69 it will instantly tame with exceptional kibble. You will die but your bassilo will kill the mantas then you have a bassilo

Basliosaurus has manta rays and megs sometimes around it, bring a spino it will easily kill them all and bring raw prime fish meat or normal

Very useful for both caves in the oceans as also carrying tons of stuff though the oceans to let’s say a water base. One of the best ocean creatures without a doubt. Easy to tame... only issue is the mantas swimming next to the Basilo.
