Hi guys! Today I’m gonna teach u how to tame a fat dolphin. It has a strange way to tame because it’ll have little flat baked bread around it.( A.K.A manta) with that out of the way, let’s get started!😆

First step: KILL THE MANTAS!!! THEY WILL EAT YOUR FRIEND ALIVE!!!!( just kill them) if u punch da dolphin then the mantas attack u but then u won’t hurt future friend! 🐬

Second step: bring scuba 🤿 gear. They take forever to eat. So before you feed it, u might want to enclose it in some gates.(I recommend stone is da best)

Third step: he is your friendly neighbor aquatic and will require a saddle. Other than that, he’s yours!!!

Quick note to remember: if u want this guy faster on mobile only, I recommend using smoothing or bathing balm on it which can be accessed by tribute to obelisk from a artifact.( except bathing balm, u need to pay for that with amber.)

You need to tame these kids on the island especially, these are like the BEST for killing cnidaria, and they are pretty easy to tame if you do it right.

Step 1: craft a raft and go float over the basil

Step 2: watch the basil and when it surfaces (or goes near enough for u to get out in time to escape mantas and drowning) feed it some meat DO NOT FEED FISH meat is much more effective

Step 3: open your inventory and click on the taming thing (idk what it’s called) and make it so u can watch the basil from afar.

Step 4: Wait for it to surface (now much easier to do)

Step 5: Rinse and repeat

Please do the suicide tame strat because I almost lost all my flak armor to mantas only bring ur meat and a raft. I tamed a level 60 Basil that was so far out into the ocean using this method.

Up so the noobs can see :D

Literally don't unmount your itchy while feeding it

Bug repellent will keep the mantras off your back, right up until you give the basil some food.....

Pro tip here! When ever I find one of these I also find a bunch of mantas, so if you find one you will get a lot of fish meat!

Perhaps the most versatile, combat oriented, tankiest, and easiest water tames, I’ve converted two basilo’s into near-invincible war machines I can only describe as ARK’s equivalents of an underwater John-117. I, no joke, led 20 or so megalodons to one and all of them were shredded in under a minute. Also they produce oil, which is nice, but it spoils, so I usually solve the oil situation with my dunkleosteus. Very well rounded and a PASSIVE tame, would certainly recommend!

On Lost Island you can find these creatures between 40.20 to 60.30. I used and prefer that you use mutton which is close in the area.

To tame, Soothing balm, Theriz kibble, tame in no time. Be careful when breeding babies. The babies are greedy like a giga. You need to keep feeding until 10% then keep 2 troughs fully stocked with raw meat and fish.

When taming a basilo use a balm it will help but make sure to have something to help you defeat the manta and ichthys they swarm the basilo like there its guard

Tame a Baryonyx to deal with the manta or bring a crossbow. They are easy to pick off and then you can feed it. Extremely fun animals and their right click makes them jump and spray water, forming a rainbow!!!

Level 240 took two Theri kibble with a 10x balm. About 10 minutes wait time after first bite.

Super easy, super useful!

You can find beached ones, mainly on Ragnarok. You can harvest then for rotten meat to get narcotics. With a pickaxe you will harvei more meat but with a hatchet you will harvest more hide. Remember Good luck! And have fun survivor

Can't find a single one. I've seen all kinds of creatures but them. I think the only thing I haven't seen is alphas and tuso and these guys,

I never see these alone I always these guys with tons of mantas on it.

A good reason I would tame one and start breeding them is tusos can't grab you so there pretty much tusos proof

KING OF OCEAN SPECIALLY IN MOBILE VERSION ONLY SMALL DRAWBACK IS LITTLE DAMAGE TAKEN AT DEEP WATER BUT AFTER LEVELING ON HEALTH POINT THAT'S NEVER A PROBLEM CAUSE IT'S REGENERATE HEATH AND STAMINA IS VERY QUICK.

AND FREE OIL IS BONUS POINT

Very good at taking many attacks

Loads of these live around herbivore island and so do titanosaurs which often drown so if you go to Herby island if your lucky you simply wait until the titanosaur drowns itself collect as much prime meat as possible and go take the basi!

An amazing badass dinosaur. When I was bringing this dude back to my base, I kept getting swarmed by mega’s. My bailo kept pulling me out of tough situations and easily could take on four megas at once. Just make sure to buff up its health as it takes awhile to even damage this dude. Literally, my favorite dinosaur. I’d pick bailo’s over mega’s any day.

When taming, make sure you kill all the mantas as they are a pain in the ass when your trying to tame the bailo. I got lucky and found my bailo stuck on a rock in shallow water, allowing me to kill all the mantas. I’d recommend a sarco or itchy for keeping up with the bailo as you try and tame it. Make sure to get the mantas to follow you out of the water and where the water is shallow enough for you to stand. Pikes are could for killing these mantas, just hold the attack bar down as they circle you, don’t let up or your dead. Stay near the shore when taming. Be patient and wait for the bailo to come to you when trying to find. :)
