Easy first tame on Genesis. Do the wave ray mission a few times to get some armour a weapon and hexagons. Once you have them all get some meat and passive tame a high level one. Low levels are great if you are just going to use it to get oil. High levels are good for farming Bio toxin or fights in general as they have lots of health, and you can't get knocked off of them. They don't take damage from electric attacks like from eels and jellies.

I killed a basilo while sitting on ichy, it dropped 458 oil

Please remember they are passive tame. I just forgot and almost got killed

If you are on one of these you are immune to being shocked of by jelly’s and they are also like your own personal oil rock

These oily bois will be very useful in maps like genesis where most oil is from the rock well part of the ship, use these to passively gain oil. To tame simply tame a baryonx with a decent level and a saddle to ride, stun the manta’s that surround it, the stun won’t affect the basil, then just kill the manta and begin the taming process with kibble or meat! A versatile tame in most sections. Combat, gathering, and exploring. It’s useful in most areas of the ocean except for deep diving. Unless ou don’t mind it’s help going down slowly it’s a great deep sea tame too. Especially how easy it is to get with the right dinos and prep.

Don't raise deep underwater it takes pressure damage even in caves

If you want to kill it and all the mantas at once, swim up to it (I'm pretty sure they only attack you if you feed the Basilo), strap c4 on it, swim away, and enjoy the fireworks.

This is how to tame it

Get a itchy

Get raw meat or raw prime meat or raw prime fish meat.

Try to find one in the ocean. (If your in single player of your low level it will appear when your higher level)

If you found one with mantas around try to feed it and run away when the mantas start trying to attack you.

Boom you have a sea sausage

Get rid of mantas before you feed, mantas don't like you feeding it. I learned the hard way

Tired of jellyfish? This guy is immune to their string set them in aggresive and ur underwater tame are safe for now

They will attract any sea life nearby so be careful when taming

These things are actually very strong for how easy they’re are to tame (relatively). I tamed a lvl 100 (wild, lvl 149 once tamed) and killed a pack of like 10 megalodons and only lost like 50 hp (it has 14K hp total).

Trilobites take up a place in their spawns so you’ll need to go and kill them as well as the Coelacanths, Megalodon, mantas and Leeds to get them to spawn if they haven’t already. I’d suggest looking along south coast of The Island and especially around Herbi Island.

Not entirely sure about Bas' Alt attack but it'll make a rainbow at surface levels.

Easiest tame all you need is a beezobufo and a ichthyosaurus . Feed it wait and get the ichthyosaur to attack the mantas while you are on the frog

To whoever said that these are the king of the ocean they literally are basilosaurus menas king lizard so that’s amazing

P.S can anyone tell me how to find one I’ve looked around herbivore island but cant find one i leave and go up to red I’ve done this more than 3 times yet I haven’t found 1
