Ok so use a Ichthyosaurus because mantas megs and basically everything ignores you so people dont die to the manta cult it has

My tribe used the basilo for bringing materials to area far away into ocean with the help of baryonyx we we then able to build a floating city on the water

Basilo good for weight health and damage

If there is one with a lot of mantas around it you can use a baryonx get the mantas attention and bring them away to stun them then you can use it or something else (we used a lvl20 megalodon) to kill them all then just trail and feed the basilo until it is tamed

Normally a bunch of mantas spawn neer it so be ready

I just tamed one and now I have slow but unlimited supply of oil

If you want a lot of oil you can just tame 4-5 of these guys they are easy to tame

Tanks they tank. If you boosted hp a lot then your set. Also they and a good dps to and a oil farm.

Kill these with mosas, you will get 1000 oil easily if you do so.

basiliosaurus personality:a passive aquatic cucumber dino it’s easily a carnivore and surrounded by mantas (most of my encounters) taming: i recommend a itchy since that’s the safest way I recommend using raw meat or raw prime meat since it’s better then fish meat. Tamed and domesticated:basiliosaurus will be your personal guard in the water he will be a giga chad killing megs I tried that it’s amazing easy fish meat. That’s all you need to know!

DO NOT GO TO THE BOTTOM OF THE OCEAN WHEN INFINITESTATS IS ON because it will instantly die when you go to the bottom of the ocean because it has a crush depth

They can spawn in the middle of herb island

Trust me, as good as the mosa and the plesiosaur looks, the basi is better don’t waste your time taming trashy tames

I found 2 of these things near my base and I tried to go near it but it constantly went away. This thing really didn't like me lol.

The regen is insane the abilities are insane(being able to disregard any ocean critters specil attacks) and its stam is great

I tamed one that is like lv40 and kills every other thing

You need to tame these kids on the island especially, these are like the BEST for killing cnidaria, and they are pretty easy to tame if you do it right.

Step 1: craft a raft and go float over the basil

Step 2: watch the basil and when it surfaces (or goes near enough for u to get out in time to escape mantas and drowning) feed it some meat DO NOT FEED FISH meat is much more effective

Step 3: open your inventory and click on the taming thing (idk what it’s called) and make it so u can watch the basil from afar.

Step 4: Wait for it to surface (now much easier to do)

Step 5: Rinse and repeat

Please do the suicide tame strat because I almost lost all my flak armor to mantas only bring ur meat and a raft. I tamed a level 60 Basil that was so far out into the ocean using this method.

If you find one, bring a bunch of your sharks with you if its surrounded by manta. Bait the manta to follow you, then let your sharks kill them. Now you tame it

Perhaps the most versatile, combat oriented, tankiest, and easiest water tames, I’ve converted two basilo’s into near-invincible war machines I can only describe as ARK’s equivalents of an underwater John-117. I, no joke, led 20 or so megalodons to one and all of them were shredded in under a minute. Also they produce oil, which is nice, but it spoils, so I usually solve the oil situation with my dunkleosteus. Very well rounded and a PASSIVE tame, would certainly recommend!
