"Mphph!" Vein screamed over the wrap. Chroneo and Flame sat next to her.

Ahead was The Crystal Queen.

"Your friends will love seeing your disected bodies," she decided, flexing her back talons. "We'll start with this one."

Glancing at Flame, who was crying and wriggling in the rope thing that tied him down, the Crystal Queen unwrapped his mask.

"YOU'LL NEVER GET AWAY WITH THIS!" Flame bellowed.

"Use fire on him," an ember heir suggested, "fits with the name."

"Ah, yes, good idea," Crystal Queen agreed.

Warming up her mouth, Flame kept screaming.

"STOP THIS! WHAT DID I DO!"

Sparks came from the Queen's mouth.

"BLICKET! QUINTER! HELP M-"
