Ez tame, passive tame, don’t be scared of it

Instructions:

1. Get your itchy so Megalodons, and eels and or jellyfish don’t get you

2.Get a therizenosaurus kibble

3. Find

4. Once found just swim beside it and put the kibble and a whole pile of meat

5. Successive. Grab the saddle and enjoy a badass time and eat everything

Ps don’t go in deep water or it will take oxygen dmg

Generates oil over time, thats pretty useful. Idk in what speed tho

If you are playing ark mobile then ride on a icthy because there is a bug where when your on an icthy you won’t get targeted by mantas and megladons

If you aren't too lazy to breed them you aren't too lazy to get the best option for any underwater cave. They will take a very slight amount of crush damage in some caves but that's nothing to a basilosaurus with 20k health

Why does all the mantas attack me when im riding an dolphin?!?! And why i cant feed it meat whitout unriding it?!?!

I found a max level basi at the shores of the South West tropical islands right next to my base. Roughly 80, 30. Ofcourse it had the usual mantas and a couple of Megalodons. But I was able to take them out in the air with a compound bow and sinomacrops. Afterthat, easy taming. Use exceptional Kibble for faster taming! They take a long time to get hungry the second time. After that, itll tame quickly

Use a baryonix to kill the mantas

A balisosaurus will always be surrounded by some mantas(I haven’t actually counted how many, but it is a decent amount), aka. The death pancakes. If you are swimming nearby/attack the balisosaurus, the mantas will attack you. However, if you best the mantas and the giant whale, you can get a lot of oil and hide(with blubber as an exclusive win if you choose).

I’m a lvl 14 noob and I’m trying to tame these guys with my dolphins and meat. Does anyone know if sharks aggro to them? Because I’m living on an island surrounded with sharks.

Must tame!! These are amazing! Just in a one day trip into the ocean I gathered 820 bio toxins, 443 silica pearls, 1000+ raw fish meat, and 41 oil. I encountered alpha Megalodon too and took it down like nothing with the basilosaurus! It's now level 35 and its health is 5557.2 and melee damage is 329.9%. They're absolute tanks!

They Commonly Spawn Near The Shores Of Herbivore Island And Can Rarley Spawn In Hebivore Islands Cove They Are A Passive Tame And Prime Meat Is A Fairly Good Feeding Source Make Shaur To Kill Of Any Megalodons In The Area And Finish Of All The Manta Rays Following It Before Approaching

This is how I tamed mine and you can prob do the same

What I used-

. Mastercraft crossbow+ stone arrows

. Full set of SCUBA gear plus extra SCUBA tank

. Extraordinary kibble (I had a bunch and it gives same effectiveness as exceptional kibble when taming basilo)

. My lvl 141 sarco with levels pumped into damage and health

How I did it

Found a high level basilo, swam up to it, and hit one of the mantas near by. Once I did all of the mantas went aggro and followed me on my sarco. Once I killed then all I swam up to basilo and fed kibble. After that I waited for it to get hungry again and while I did I killed some more mantas/megs that were swimming near by. I’m not taking any chances. Once it was hungry again i fed it until it was tamed.

Also, when using kibble, if you feed a creature any rarity of kibble that is above its preferred kibble it will have the same effectiveness. I used extraordinary kibble when taming my basilo, and basilos prefer exceptional kibble so it did the same thing. Sorry if it was confusing but I hope this helps. Happy taming!

These things have an insulation ability so when riding one you won’t be cold in deep water, however when in deep water they will start to lose health so be careful

How to tame yourself a basilosaurus :

1- You can find a basilosaurus near the beaches.

2- They're surrounded by mantas that act as their guards, in order to be able to tame it you must kill his guards using a decent sea creature (Barynox,Sarco,Megladon).

3- Once you kill the mantas, get close to it and feed it raw prime meat (Its a passive tame).

4- Beware! dont ever hit the basilo otherwise the taming will restart i also advice having your tame on passive so it doesn't accidentally hit the basilo, changing the food type will also restart it too.

5- The basilo starves every 10 to 4 seconds so it won't take that long just keep protecting yourself from any impending hordes of sea creatures.

6- Once tamed you can get into sea caves without having to worry about getting dismounted by a Jellyfish or the electric fish anymore so you can start killing jellyfishes for biotoxin, also they produce oil, its the best tame to go to sea caves with!

These guys are though! I tamed one and we were attacked by 6 megs and my bailasaur killed them at level 5!!! 6 Megaladons!!!!

Fun fact I found real useful, I have my base in the herbivore island and there's LOADS of these guys around. I know a lot of ppl say it's hard to tame but reality is (at least for mobile, not sure about pc or console) that if u don't want the mantas to attack, feed the Basi off a back of an aquatic tame. According to the dossier, the mats follow the basi to eat and once a player comes near they see it as a threat. But if another water tame comes it'll ignore, and let u tame the basi. I currently have 3 and I'm only level 41 on solo, very quick to tame, I recommend normal meat over fish meat if Ur a low level just cuz they tame faster for some reason. And what's more to these beasts, I don't have a saddle but at least now I already have access to oil, cuz this guy produces it, making kibbles as easy as ever.
