Use toxic arrows instreadnof tranq arrows :)

This animal, if you play extinction is commonly found in the snow/ice biome. It’s saddle is a mobile smithy without the cost of metal ingots to craft! So if you don’t have the resources to get a refining forge yet use this bird’s saddle instead.

Once trapped in a dino gate trap, use tranq arrows carefully untill the argy starts trying to run, then throw a dead dino such as a dodo or monkey and let it eat it, then light it up with tranqs till its knocked out. When the argy is KOed its hunger will have diminished to a almost starving level, go kill some dinos that drop prime meat, you have about 4 minutes to get the meat and feed the argy, this is the most efficient way and it also adds to your tame effectiveness leveling the argy even more.

As of TLC Patch 2, the headshot modifier is no longer a thing, tested on multiple argues with all weapons.

Really useful but be prepared if you try to tame one

I was going to the mountain in the red wood forest when i saw a bunch of these birds. I was still new so i didnt know if they would try to kill me or not. I ended up tameing one about an hour later.

How I Tame Argys (works every time)!

Step One: Make 4 or 3 stone dino gate frames. Must be stone or else the argy will break free!

Step Two: Make 2 reinforced dino gateways. Must be reinforced or else the argy will break free!

Step Three: Place your dino gates in single file, at least one opening for you to escape from is required. Ensure that the opening is small enough so the argy can’t fly through, but big enough that you can walk through. (This is easier than it sounds).

Step Four: Place one of the dino gateways at the back of your trap. Keep the other in your hot bar.

Step Five: Lure the argy into the trap by hitting/shooting it, place the door at the front of the trap when the argy is inside the trap. Finally, escape.

Step Six: Tame your argy!

What level do you unlock an Argy saddle?

I have a lvl 230 argentavis and a lvl 240 pteranodon. After some testing I have come to the conclusion that Argentavis are actual hot garbage in terms of combat and travel. Despite their relatively high stamina, they’re slow as heck. They have 18 base damage, which is a bit higher than the pteranodon’s 15. However, every time a pteranodon attacks, it actually makes a double hit, effectively raising its base damage to 30. These guys also don’t have other special attacks like the pteranodon’s barrel roll (which does 2.5-3x the normal damage of a pteranodon). They do have more health but why would you need so much health as a flyer? If you get hit too many times you just fly away. Only aspect in which argentavis is clearly better at is weight, plus the fact that it has weight reduction for like every type of resource. So yeah it’s basically a ferocious looking cargo plane. If you want a good battle flyer just get a pteranodon.

You can cool eggs down without an air conditioner by submerging them in a body of water and quickly picking them up again. The mountain tip will also work. I imagine your location is too hot, maybe wait till you've move to a cooler location before breeding again?

Great all around, tame one as soon as you can. leveling up can be done as you want. High level ones level properly can be almost as good as quetzals for hauling metal. OR one heck of a battle bird.

A great way to get lots if metal: Step 1: Get an argy. Step 2: Mine metal on a mountain and put it in your argy's inventory. (Not yours!) Step 3: get lots of metal, argy's have a 50% reduction. Step 4: Go back, and refine your metal into ingots.

I think another way to pick stuff up is that the thing you're picking up has to be dead or unconsious??? i dunno but i think so

Definitly the most needed tame in the entire game. They are great for solo, pvp, or multiplayer pve because of their base stats, wieght reduction, and heaing buff. They can be used in a reascource runer/meat&hide runner(all), pvp mount(pvp), traping partner(pvp and solo), or travel mount(all)

*BEST taming way* I found a 180 (that’s my wild max) then, lure it to your trap (4 Dino gate ways closely placed) when you lure it in close both opposite gates and escape (on ptrandon or barefoot out the slips), tranq dart it took me like 50 or sum) When unconscious starve a bit, then feed it prime meat, I got a 267 perfect js 269 if you want that make a ton of kibble but it’s a waste of time lol, have fun.

To those people who can't pick up stuff with their argy, I’m pretty sure you have to go to the part of the menu and assign the multi tap left/right to the alternate attack 2 or 3. Not sure which one it’ll be on the argy. But one of those should pick things up. Hope this helps! :D

How do you pick stuff up with this dude im waiting to get a saddle for my Aurum and Argentum (my argents) And i really want to pick some gallimimuses up and tame them (btw this is in mobile) i know someone else asked so it would help if someone knew how to thx

Does anyone know how to pick up dinosaurs with this bird, in ARK mobile??? I don’t know how to do it. It would be a GREAT tip since there is no proper answer in Google.
