Tips & Strategies

What are tips for argentavis? Tips and strategies for argentavis in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
How I Tame Argys (works every time)!
Step One: Make 4 or 3 stone dino gate frames. Must be stone or else the argy will break free!
Step Two: Make 2 reinforced dino gateways. Must be reinforced or else the argy will break free!
Step Three: Place your dino gates in single file, at least one opening for you to escape from is required. Ensure that the opening is small enough so the argy can’t fly through, but big enough that you can walk through. (This is easier than it sounds).
Step Four: Place one of the dino gateways at the back of your trap. Keep the other in your hot bar.
Step Five: Lure the argy into the trap by hitting/shooting it, place the door at the front of the trap when the argy is inside the trap. Finally, escape.
Step Six: Tame your argy!
I have a lvl 230 argentavis and a lvl 240 pteranodon. After some testing I have come to the conclusion that Argentavis are actual hot garbage in terms of combat and travel. Despite their relatively high stamina, they’re slow as heck. They have 18 base damage, which is a bit higher than the pteranodon’s 15. However, every time a pteranodon attacks, it actually makes a double hit, effectively raising its base damage to 30. These guys also don’t have other special attacks like the pteranodon’s barrel roll (which does 2.5-3x the normal damage of a pteranodon). They do have more health but why would you need so much health as a flyer? If you get hit too many times you just fly away. Only aspect in which argentavis is clearly better at is weight, plus the fact that it has weight reduction for like every type of resource. So yeah it’s basically a ferocious looking cargo plane. If you want a good battle flyer just get a pteranodon.
(Note; This is on mobile, the same may not be true for other versions)
You can cool eggs down without an air conditioner by submerging them in a body of water and quickly picking them up again. The mountain tip will also work. I imagine your location is too hot, maybe wait till you've move to a cooler location before breeding again?
Caught an argie at 140 when tamed hit 210 (I was level 69 and used the correct kibble) now the xp bar is broke.
At level 219 it only takes 720 Xp to level it up going up 120 needed from lvl 218. Can someone say broke as hell? ??
Bring your worst Dino and let it attack your Dino then start tranqing
Trust me, I tried both, taming without a taming pen is much easier. If your a descent shot you can easily take on out with tranq arrows and a crossbow. ( maybe a bow but don't be disappointed if it gets away) If your concerned about being safe when taming it ( which you probably should be) then you should tame one towards the top of the " volcano " next to the green obelisk. ( predators normally can't get up there.)
It is now useless and slow for wyvern egg stealing. Use tapejara.
LARGE. FUCKING. BIRDS.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Hi, these birds are territorial. Don't go close to them, and you'll be fine.
Thanks to recent update. These are nearly worthless. Don't bother. Just get a ptera and go straight for a quetz.
Argy was at 240% movement and still was on my ass, top comment is a lie
What I usually do is loure them on top of the volcano on the island map where it is safe then just strafe and shoot until they fall
They are really good because the stats are perfect plus lure it to your base and then trap it in a box and get trigger happy lol P.S I tried this it woks
Just get a pteranadon if you are a PvP player if you are on pteranadon and enemy is on argy you should easily win the pick argies are nice looking though especially if you get mutations
Found my level 103 unconscious on a mountain side, don't know what happened to him
He is powerful
The app is a little off, you can tame a lvl 55 Argy with only 7 kibble
