NO NEED FOR A TRAP. CROSSBOW AND RUN BACK AND FORWARDS WILL DO JUST FINE

When breeding, it is possible to breed without air conditioning by only having the egg out at night and staring at it with a torch. Gets kinda dull but works! I did this in the footpaw area and it worked just fine I got triplets :)

Argentavis is hands down one of the most important tames you or your tribe will need early game. It’s an amazing workhorse tame. They have:

1.) Huge carrying capacity. weigh scales insanely allowing it to carry well over 10k with a balanced build and easily double to triple that if you min-max.

2.) Stamina for days. Easily fly corner to corner in one go as long as they aren’t encumbered.

3.) can lift and carry smaller Dino’s. Anything smaller than a Carno, basically can be lifted by an Argy. Most notably, Anky and Doeds for mining. Allowing for easy solo/duo mining.

4.) Also allows you to transport smaller Dino’s to a safe spot your taming. Especially stuff like snails.

5.) good for combat and harvesting primes early on.

6.) You can use it to solo tame a quetzal.

Biggest drawback to an Argy is it’s slower than other flyers, like Ptera and Wyverns. But, still faster than a Quetz. But for what you get it’s an easy trade off.

1. Craft slingshot/tranq arrows + bow (11)

2. Find argy and lure away from other argys

3. Shoot it until falls

4. Put meat in inventory

5. Also (opt.) bio toxin, narcotics, or narcoberries (bio toxin most efficient) for if it might wake up

6. Name him/her something

7. (Opt.) Get saddle (lvl 63) from engrams or free gift or supply crate

8. Use it to kill your friend

Use it to get dire wolf (or another one, rip Winter) (died to stupid alpha raptor, killed it at the same time)

I keep seeing people saying you need a bunch of stuff, but here’s how I did it as a level 56 single player in only hide armor.

Get a flying mount and find an argy (theyre in the snow and tall mountains) , then get close to one (just out of the Agro zone). If you get too close and it chases you, don’t worry, it won’t chase too far! Now that you’re near it, smack it. Just with anything you have. Charge it and smack it. Now that it’s angry shoot it while moving backwards… it doesn’t do much damage as long as it’s below level 40 (on mobile)… that’s basically it! It’ll tame with raw meat (the ratio of food per level is around 1:2) it’ll only take 10-15 tranq arrows, and you only need one narcotic! That’s all!

Go to the waterfall at the left side of the island, just before the snow biome to find them with low threat.

If u r a ok tribe just have something with about 2.5k health (depending on the lvl or the argy) sit is a area then let the argy attack it while shooting it this is your best bet if u dont have a cage. I did this with a 150 argen.

Put a saddle on one of these, they become a smithy.

Utility of the argentavis:

Jack of all trades: decent stat distribution, good attack, utility, and stamina.

Weight/long distance travel: high stamina, high stamina efficiency, and high weight stat

Material carrying: weight reduction on many materials like metal

Taming: has good attack to clear area and good health in case of getting assaulted by carnivores. Has weight to carry traps. Can also fly away in case of danger.

Regen: heals astoundingly fast after eating a corpse

Carrying dinos: able to grab mid-sized Dino’s like ankys and parasaurs.

Disadvantage:

Speed: much slower than other flyers like pteranodons

Difficulty to tame: found in dangerous areas (redwoods, snow, mountains, carno island)

Saddle: unlocked at a fairly high level of 62, and requires a lot of chitin/keratin

To tame a Argy (argentavis) you will need 4 gateways, 2 Gates, about 20-30 tranqs (for 150 argy, with using a corssbow), safe place and prime meat. Firat, place a trap made of those structures written higher, find an Argy, trap it then shoot with tranq Arrow (better shoot in head, because it will gain 1.5x multiplier. I prefer feeling it firstly a dead dino, then knock it out. Feed it raw prime meat, because it gives better taming process.

I watched a YouTuber knock out a level 27 argy using like 10 tranq arrows and a bow.

Tranq until it needs one or more arrows u can check on Dododex for amount and then feed a body and knock it out automatically drops Argents food insta tame 😁 - LazySolo

These giant birds are AMAZING. If you don’t have one, get one NOW. They can carry tons of metal, and if you have a decent one they can carry a lot of metal. and they aren’t very hard to tame either! I recommend taming them with a trap though.

Step 1 use a flyer pt or baryonx

Step 2 bring tranq arrows or darts (ascend or mastercraft crossbow is best)

Step 3 make a trap with 3 stone gates and 2 doors

Step 4 shoot it till it’s knocked out

Step 5 give it prime or prime fish meat or (reguler if you don’t have both)

Step 6 bring naracotics just in case

And you have a argy slap a saddle on that boi and done

Does arby's attack in a group if u attack one cause I found two together on red peak (the island map) and I want to take one who's level 18 I'm on a fricking pteranodon and im scared. ( Im scared cuz am on mobile ;-;) someone pls help

Steps on how to tame a argentavis:

1. Build 4-5 stone gate frames place them in a straight line place then distant but not to distant or the Argentavis will fly through the top, build 2 reinforced gates and place one at the end leave the other one in your hot bar.

2. Get the argentavis attention, make him follow you into the trap and place the other gate then run through the side.

3. Use around 50 tranqs just in case you miss

Use a primitive crossbow.

4. There carnivores so they eat meat mutton/prime will work or kibble if you have!

There is a easier way to do this.

Just shoot the bird while he is following you when his torpor starts to get High he will try to fly away so trap might be better whichever way you prefer! -Boycicle

Better have low level argy than no argy at all!!! Even low levels have great stamina, not mentioning that their ability to pick up dinos! Trust me, any argy would make your life easier

First step have 50 tranq darts and long neck. If taming RG level 20 through 50. Step 2 make sure the area is safe with no Baddies. Have soothing bomb. Step 3 have five prime meat. Make a saddle and ride.

Enjoy your RG quick tip they have 50% reduction to metal Stone and obsidian. Please up if helpful.

Argies are REALLY good midgame and somewhat end game every meduim size dino u need to tame can be picked up and knoked out with a friend and it is also a great material dino that helps do quick material runs

Mate as argentavis que estão próximas deixando apenas a que você deseja e tomando cuidado pra não acabar esquecendo de alguma já que elas podem te atacar se chegar muito perto e eu sei que as vezes essas águias pousam perto do player como se fosse de propósito pra atacar.

Para fazer a armadilha eu diria pra colocar 3 fundações de pedra (ou qualquer outra coisa desde que não seja de madeira e palha pois as argentavis conseguem quebrar)em formato de L.o que está curvado tem que ter uma passagem de dinossauros nas pontas mais específicamente no mais a frente e o que junta com as duas plataformas e pilares do lado e teto pra argentavis não fugir. Nos outros dois você vai colocar parede moldura de porta. Após levar a argentavis pra primeira parte vc vai tirar o portão de dinossauros que libera pras outras depois pode destruir a primeira parte e agora vai colocar cerca no meio pra bloquear a argentavis de ficar sem mexendo muito. Depois é só desmaiar dar algumas kibbles se tiver algum brontossauro ou diplodoco perto derrote e colete carne prime pra ajudar na doma.
