When riding in the caves enemies ignore you.

Would be cool if devs added ability to create temporary zip lines, climb walls, and use ziplines.

When tamed they can help tame other creatures by webbing them

These guys will suck in the beginning when tamed but pump a good bit into stam and speed they could be pretty neat tame to tame others and attack people

I Think the best way to use this ugly mofo is to have like 3-5 on aggressive outside of your base and 3-5 inside of your base. The ones outside I like to put stone in there inv so they can't move but act as turrets instead and my other dinos would obliterate anyone on the outside, and the ones inside would protect yur base from intruders. Probably best to have 5 spiders w/ 2-4 troodons inside to make sure nobody is left alive >:)

If you're trying to get a good one DON'T level stamina, it levels ridiculously I just looked in the stats section and it turns out a 150 araneo has 310 stamina and a level one has One hundred🙀

The entire utility section is suggestions to make the araneo actually good/interesting for a reason!!!

Why bother taming the Areneo:

1. There easy to tame and almost always have above 90 taming efficacy

2. High levels are strong enough to take down raptors on their own

3. Start imaging what 10 could kill, now imagine what 20 could kill… ( you get the idea)

4. Webs slow creatures down for easy taming

That’s about it…

If you wanna be ignored by the creatires in the Cave you have to tame one in a Cave then you Are like invisible Till you attack them

On mobile, you can ride them through caves without getting aggroed by any dino! I use them to get through the Ice Cave(Strong) WITH EASE! Trust Me!!

They're very usefull when it comes to taming. They can slit webs at your soon to be tame so you can knock it out easier.

If you really must use one in combat then take a good pike and use that while mounted instead. You can still use the webs but can do considerably more damage. (And don't put any levels into melee, a high level spider still only does about 20 damage per bite. Useless.)

Basically it's only use is as a taming assist mount since it's web slows things down and they inflict torpor

If you tame it inside a cave (warning this will not work if you revive and tame or chronicle it!!!!) agressive creatures will not attack you even if you just walk right up to them BUT if you shoot another cave creature from thezt back of your araneo they WILL attack you

I was riding my araneo and i bit another araneo and it ignored me. Then without dismounting i shot at it and it realized i was there even if i was on the back of my own araneo. Same works for the other cave creatures as long as theyre tamed in the cave. Hope this helped

Overall just a bad designed creature.

Maybe, the devs could add the ability to set up some sort of trap by making a spider web between two trees or something and you could check it once in a while and see if anything ran in.

Also, they should be able to climb walls and ceilings like the Megalania as they are spiders.

Good for caves bc it gets ignored and fits in lots of caves (FOR MOBILE)

When using areano to run artifact of the strong bring really good pelt. It is really cold in there. And when in water it’s so cold it does damage. 🥶 So be sure if you low on health stay on land so you don’t lose your spider. I learned the hard way😢🥶 pls pls up this so ppl who love doing caves can see! R.I.P spider- boi😢🕷️

Can they go in that ice cave with super high level creature, i just tamed scorpio and realised it cant go in there , if spider can go in that cave then u know what to do with this comment ( dodex wont let me type it xdd)

My only survivor that had one of these got corrupted so I may not be right, but I'm pretty sure these things are decently fast, and even if not they have the slowing webs ability, so if you have something you need to tame or get away from, web, these guys do need TLC, but these guys are underrated
