I feel like they should fully climb walls like megalania, shoot webs that can trap players and insects for 10 seconds and they should be able to make a web sleeping bag in case u want to sleep and u don’t have a sleeping bag or bed.

WHEN WILL THEY GIVE THIS A TLC?!?!?

Though they're probably the weakest cave creature u can tame, in mobile they're completely invisible to ANY creature literally ANY creature also, their web is really good for slowing down creatures and surprisingly it deals a lot of damage to arthropleuras

They can explore caves without being detected on Ark Mobile. They are sort of like cheap arthoros.

The Araneo is definitely not a battle mount but has the potential to be. Pumping points into melee damage and health plus the projectile cobwebs to slow your target will allow you and your mount to be proven a worthy adversary.

Is it just me, or should they be able to use web slingshots, kind of like the bloodstalker?

I play mobile and think they should be able to climb up Walls

These guys, when killed, give you lots of chitin. On Ragnarok there's a castle near the swamp at the top of the map full of these guys. Grab a high lvl argie and you'll have stacks of chitin very quickly.

The Araneo can spit webs out of its mouth, which will slow small too medium creatures and it’s bite has a torpor effect

Tame one of these inside a cave then the Dino in the cave will not aggro unless you attack them in other words the cave Dino will become neutral . This will not work if you tame a spider outside the cave . I would definitely recommend taming at least 3 when your at lvl 35-50 if you are playing in pvp it will help you get artifacts and artifacts will help you be the alpha of the server . The web can hit a creature from a mile away with enough accuracy i’ve tried it on a training dummy

(Mobile) After tame: Abysmal speed, health, and weight, 10 damage on main attack that does 10 torpor per 10 secs, stacks for a maximum of 2 times for 20 torpor over 20 secs...honestly, what is the point of taming this? Just like the Pachy(again, mobile), there is literally nothing that this creature can do that others can't do better. Invisible glitch? Get a scorpion. Better torpor? Scorpion. pvp? Arthropluera, which is somehow easier to tame than this spider. (lv 150 takes 2 spoiled meat with 10× soothing balm when spider takes 6-7.) Web attack? If you can do a cave run easily, what do you need that for?? Besides, dilos can do slow too. Again, before you attempt to tame one, think about why you want it in the first place. *Stares at newly tamed lv 224 araneo* Useless.

Would be cool if it could climb like a rock drake and shoot webs that could be used as zip line that it, survivors and other creatures could climb on.

The araneo may be useless to the pc and console platforms(not sure, didn't try) but on mobile, you can literally sneak run the entire ice cave and have nothing aggro on you. This glitch also applies to the arthroploura

In mobile,if you tame this creature in cave(hunter cave recommended),you can do any cave(except skylord cave and lava cave) effortlessly and without being attacked.Easy tame,easy cave

They are so amazing at any caves nothing will agro only 1 it doesn't work in is the artifact of the skylord

4 base defense in a cave u need 4 of them and 2 arthos on turret mode and maby some onecs u will rule pvp/pvx

Best location 2 tame is the South cave

If you DO like to ride around on this thing, moving in a straight line helps with its web attack aim.

How to easily tame, without using anykind stuff like chilli, or repellent :

Tame first a scorpion (whatever LV), within a cave

Ride the Scorpion, while approaching the spider

As the spider wouldn't notice you, you can feed it easily

While you want the spider :

To go in caves, and to slow down any opponents, or wild creatures that you might want to kill

Disadvantages :

His whole stats are so low (low stamina, low attacks, low weight)

Only the speed is decent, but the stamina makes it slow as hell
