The Lost Stories: Crystal Isles (Chapter 1)

I woke up with my head throbbing in a dark cave with no exit except a small hole in the ceiling. I tried shifting and saw I was a tropical Crystal Wyvern. My main color was teal and my wings were a pale green.

“Hello?” I tried, but no answer. Then a claw stuck through the gap and started making it bigger. I put myself in a defensive position when a cyan head stuck through the gap.

“We are getting you out of here, all right?” She said in a soothing voice. I nodded and she continued to work on the gap. She finally backed away and I climbed up the wall out of the gap and into the blooming lava fields. There were two others, a grumpy looking red blood Wyvern, and a nervous pale jade tropical Wyvern.

“I’m Clearwater, this is Bloodwing” she pointed to the red one “and this is Jade.” She pointed to the pale green one. “What is your name?” I was trying to think up a name that was not Inferi cause that was my real name when Bloodwing spoke.

“Don’t try to give us a fake name.” He said in a rough grumpy voice. Clearwater shot him an irritated look and I bristled.

“It’s fine, you can give us a fake name until you trust us more.” Completely ignoring Bloodwing look of outrage. “Is obsidian ok?”

I was confused at the name, but I said “OK”

“Folllow us, we filling get you somewhere safe.” As they all followed they flew under the floating islands, and she saw that here eyes were a deep purple color, and her underbelly was black. Ah, that explains it. “So, how did you get in there?” Jade asked.

“Um…. I don’t remember….” I said nervously but she only nodded.

“Ok, then I’ll explain to you what happened and how you got in there.” She started talking about how the Wyvern Queen had put her in there, because that was her fortress area and those were her prisons. “They rescued me too, right before you did. And the reason they were getting prisoners out is that their the Rebellion.” Suddenly something took over my body and I stopped. I saw my eyes turn black, like they usually were. Then I said to frightened faces.

“The Ember burns deep in caves”

“A different mind, a different body”

“Someone who lost nothing and everything, will save or raze”

“”Life will help, life will fight, all who fight”

“The daughter of the Ember Queen”

“Will save…. Or raze.”
