Part Three of Walker's Story

Christopher went forward. It was raining. He hadn't had a very good day. First, the village had been destroyed. Then, he got attacked by a giant. Then, he found out that his sister was the prisoner of some warlord named Nerva. He left hand arm was probably broken. His right ankle was definitely broken,and several of his ribs had cracked. As he continued, he came across a stone tower. A flag sat on top of it. It was red and seemed familiar, but he coudn't remember when. Two guards ran at him. " Who are you!" One of them shouted. " Uh, my name is Christopher. Have you seen my sister, Helena Walker?" Both of the guards winced at the name. " why are you asking? Are you her ally?" "Well, I guess so, considering we're related." Both of the guards held of the weapons. " then in the name of Gauis Nerva, our founder, we sentence you to death."

I'm just checking back on Ep1 of Dodo tales and wow, it has 20 likes. It honestly was not that good, it was made when I had no idea what I was doing. The next episodes are in the next dinosaur sections in alphabetical order.

DinoSlayer, well, that’s kind of what I mean. I don’t know if you’ve written stories here in the past before on the DDEX, but I’m assuming that if you have you probably didn’t finish them (as most people haven’t, not too big a deal). If you lack passion or a specific vision in mind for what this story will even be about, then it’s not gonna be too fun once you actually start working on it even if you’ve done similar things in the past before.

DiploLover, you’re back! I had a feeling. It’s nice to see you back, and I’m glad you can work on your story again. You probably saw my now unofficial continuation of your story in the Diplocaulus section; I only managed to get to Chapter 40 (it was gonna end at Chapter 50), but I think for the sake of finishing what I started I will probably finish that up, so don’t be alarmed or anything if you see more of those in the Diplocaulus section. Anyway, I read Chapter 37 and it was cool seeing the others’ reactions to Apollo coming back to the group. I’m assuming Apollo will keep that hood of his if he doesn’t want anyone else to find out (besides the Prophecy Wolves), especially someone like Adira, since that would mean to them that time travel is possible. I’m also curious to see what happened to the CloudPaws, I’m assuming there’s some answer to that (perhaps the humans attacked them? Or the Yutyrannus). Also wondering how your interpretation of the man goes (the one that ordered KJ around). I had one for Silent Funeral, but I’m still curious to see how your version (and the true canon) is. I’m excited for Chapter 38 and I’m guessing the next chapters will be in a Carnivore Island creature.

RelatingHen, Chapter 41 of JTAC was cool! I like how the Creator talks in morse code, and also the aftermath of Nal’s “death”. I feel bad for Dorack, tho i dont think being broken is the correct way to describe him. A more realistic diction would be just to have Sodden ask if he’s still grieving or mourning, since theres nothing flawed about missing what once was. Also interesting to see that White Mask’s attribute is detecting trails, now im curious to see Red Mask’s attribute (who seems the more competent of the two). I do think it wouldve made it more intriguing if White mask didnt reveal his attribute through dialogue, since realistically Red Mask already knows his attribute. Maybe through his POV he couldve seen an opaque trail in his vision. Anyway ive also been likjng the description of character appearances. I hope to see more of that in the future, its been hard imagining the characters looks (since they havent had any, not even Sodden). i struggle with character design a lot too but i know youll cook up some interesting ones for Them aight thats all laters

TW: Moon tells pretty much everything about this dead computer of hers

Ok firstly, it was a touchscreen hp with a terrible camera. It worked really well and I did everything on it, even though just turning it on sounded like the loudest fan in existence. I wrote on it, played on it, and made art on it as well.

So uh, one day it fell off a chair and dented its side. The screen managed to somehow pop out so we had to have it replaced. Plot twist, three months later the screen randomly popped out again, and upon me attempting to push it back in, it cracked. This led to the whole left half of the screen just ominously crooked, the connecting part of it broken, and the computer looking like it’d honestly just been through world war three.

It still worked, though. Sometimes the screen went black so I had to adjust the top half with my hand, and then the screen would come back on. Sometimes I’d be just chilling on it or writing and the pathetic screen would just fall backwards, and I’d pull it back up like “what have I done to you smh”

Second plot twist, just a few days ago, I was turning it on, and it made its dying noises before finally glitching and turning off forever. Poor thing, it even had a name

Hey everyone. Chapter 16’s finally been released in Meganeura. I’m sorry if it seems mediocre at first read. There isn’t really anything to add to it except keep the plot going. The next one should be more interesting.

Before I go over other things, I want to go over my Chapter 15. I rushed it a little, but I want to explain the ending of Chap 15. IF Bob survives, and he is able to beat all the Guardians of the Ark, yk, stuff like that to beat the original game, then EVERYONE will survive. All scholars who have ever died will be brought back to life. That’s what the President meant by “nobody else has to die”. Yeah that’s about it with my story.

GhostGamer, I read Chapter 17 of Hope’s Cry, but I am more confused than anything. Who is the kid that appeared with the other dinosaurs? (i am sorry I forgot his name). Is Buddy Jake, or was I wrong the entire time and Buddy is an entirely different Purlovia? I think I need some clarification. Sorry, that chapter was just very confusing to read. Clarification or a summary on what happened would be great.

SunnyFox, my favorite character in your story is probably Emma. I didn’t really care about her at first, because I thought Jack and Jay would be the main characters, but she’s smart and doesn’t hide things just because of ‘plot’. She seems like an interesting character who has a lot of potential to grow and stuff. And my favorite explorer notes are also from Mei, she’s my favorite character in Ark. She’s very cool, and just such an interesting character. Maybe it’s because she’s from the past so when she interacts with these dinosaurs and stuff it’s really cool with the old-style way she writes notes in.

Wyvernian, you are right that naming dinosaurs won’t save them from impending doom. I guess it’s just a superstition of mine, if I name them I’ll care about them more so I’ll try my best to keep them safe? Idk. After all we can respawn, but dinosaurs cannot. And I’ll take your outline tracer mod into consideration, I’ve been trying to look for one but it’s difficult since most of these mods are kinda bad. And I don’t really want to boost any of my tamed dino stats, or modify anything. The last time I did that my dinosaurs became too unbalanced, and then things became unfun. I want to beat the game on somewhat official rates (only thing changed is Show Damage Text, and using the single player settings).

Hello everyone! I’d like to say that I think I’ve finally decided on the naming contest.

While there were several names I loved, I knew I had to pick only two. For the Deino, I immediately knew which name to choose.

I have chosen the name Sky, suggested by My Biggest Fan. I loved Breeze and Wave, but Sky was the most suiting to her for me.

As for the Carno, there were a few names, and it took much longer for me to decide. Marsh was nice, but sadly I had a minor character already with that name. Kade was so good I almost went with it, but I knew there had to be something better.

At last, Fatooie suggested I name him after something in nature. I loved the idea and immediately began looking up types of plants that matched his color.

I finally settled with Basil. (Pronounced the British-English way, BAH-zil, not Bay-zil. Google it if you need.) I thought it matched well, and decided that will be his name.

Can’t wait to write about him in the story, both him and the Sky are coming soon! Thanks for everything!

Within the last few weeks of posting my last News Broadcast. Wildcard has released a wide variety of content announcements.

With the first being the reveal of the newest community voted creature. The Paleoctopus, the Genesis Part I Ocean Biome Creature. With Wildcard releasing this statement to go with our new Kraken of the depths. “ When exploring the wide underwater biomes, you may notice two very different moods beneath the waves. Sometimes the calm is shattered by a sudden, violent surge—a frantic rush of ink and power that suggests the depths have finally lost their patience. Other times, the seabed gains an extra stone… a coral formation grows a few more “branches”… and the ocean floor becomes suspiciously still.

Disturb it at the wrong moment, and survivors will learn quickly that those eight arms aren’t just for show.‘ end quote. The Paleoctopus will be releasing with Genesis Part I this June.

Last Week, Wildcard then announced a new creature releasing for Astraeos this summer. The Boaratos is a literal Hellfire Pig, having tusks and a mane partially made up of fire. Being nearly twice the size of our current Hellpig, the Daeodon. This will be a walking fiery, tamable judgment for the bext big Astraeos update. This creature was originally created and designed by Dragonheart, the mod developer for creatures like Hapipalus, Desolatitan, Sanguivern and many other of the Overseer Experiment mods (which was what Boaratos was originally).

Lastly for newly announced Ark creatures. The next Ark Additions mod for official release has been announced. Which is also the closest to releasing out of these creatures announced. With the Acrocathosaurus releasing March 31st as an official addition to Ark. Leaving the Concavenator, Brachiosaurus, Deinocheirus, Suchomimus, and Velociraptor (with now the possibility of Shantungosaurus coming to official as well since Garuga achieved all the donations needed for its modded version) left for official releases.

Finally, Ark has also given their first actual reveals to the next two big DLC projects coming to Ark.

With the first one that should be releasing is Bob’s True Tales coming with also Genesis Part I, Tides and Fortune. If this sounds a bit pirate-ish of a theme to you. That is because Tides and Fortune’s theme is that of the scurvy sea dogs. Being a fully pirated theme addition to the new fully map seas being added to Genesis Part I, these seas will be bordering all of the main original map biomes and borders of the original map of Genesis Part I. And will come with semi procedural islands and NPC forts to fight against. Tides and Fortune’s will be adding new ships unique from Ark’s sister game, Atlas, and will also most likely be adding a new creature, new gear, and new skins for your characters/creatures. This will be releasing alongside Ark Genesis Part I and has already announced to be a Paid DLC.

With the final properly announced DLC coming to Ark being ASA: World Creator. That’s right, for those who are too poor to own the Xbox Dev Kit or are simply unable to download the 2 Terabyte Dev Kit on PC. Wildcard has found a way to fix that (kind of?) with ASA: World Creator. You will be able to create (with limited* power) your own modded maps for Ark and be able to share them with the Ark Community. Now, by limited power, I do mean that you will not be able to do anything like add your own assets into your Arks. All assets will either be pre-created assets from other Official Arks, OR, assets made and released onto the mod page. With Wildcard specifically saying quote “ Want to build your own ARK world without learning the Dev Kit? With the in-game ASA World Creator, players on any platform, including consoles, can design their own maps directly within ARK and share them with others via the Mod Browser.

While creators won’t be able to make new art assets or perform the deep construction associated with the full Dev Kit, the system provides powerful tools for building playable worlds. Creators will be able to place and modify actors, create reusable templates, edit their properties, adjust overall world settings, configure volumes and spawners, add mods and skin packs, and implement simple gameplay logic through a brand new scripting layer that combines Lua scripting with a Blueprint API.

Everything shown in the screenshot is part of the in-game interface, including the full GUI and property editing tools!‘ end quote. ASA: World Creator will be releasing sometime in Quarter 3 of 2026, and this will be a Paid DLC.

And while these were the only announced DLCs. Ark does plan to release a new version of Survival of the Fittest being run by Ark Aquatica’s team, Studio Sirens (this will be an Unpaid DLC, I think, though take this with a pinch of salt, as it could be very much a Paid Expansion). And Wildcard has went onto say that there are plans for a Dragon Themed Paid DLC, called Dragontopia, which is expected to release at the end of 2026. With a high chance of several Crossover Mods with other games or IP’s, and possibly new Fantastic Tames coming throughout 2026. And plenty more Paid Content for 2027.

We are also expecting that several free maps, such as Crystal Isles and Lost Island will be potentially releasing this year alongside Genesis Part I and all of these Paid DLCs. And that the five major TLCs will be occurring, with the first expected to be the Areneo TLC.

So expect that 2026 to be a busy year for Ark and full of Ark content!!!!

PrimalApex, I am currently reading Ultimus Chapter 25.

Break-it, Chapter 28 of TSOR was really cool! I like Tim’s vigorous calculation and planning ability (which makes sense) and I’m more curious about Amanda’s past with raptors. Since they’re able to respawn (i believe, besides Bruce) trying to run through the cave would be better than buying the artifact. Also interesting to see how Bruce can telepathically communicate with creatures, i cant remember if he did that in previous chapters tho anyway ill be around for Chap 29 and their caving

RelatingHen, i enjoyed Chapters 39 - 40 of JTAC! I assume Reaper got dizzy because she isnt ammune to the radiation of Aberration like an aberrant creature would be. Also Red Mask Guy and White Mask Guy are very intriguing, i assume we’ll see these goons later down the line. Their cockiness makes them funny. I assume their armor has an attribute or is ascendant if the bullets bounced off like that. I was also very shocked with Nal’s “death”. I’m more interested with how she even got that whatever thing in her implant, maybe it has something to do with Dread’s attribute. Dread himself should be a force to be reckoned with though, if he’s lived this long. Anyway I enjoyed those chapters and ill be around for Chapter 41

Moon, yes I forgive you. It took me a while to find that post bc I have to look through popular and newest. Yes I think we can be friends and make amends. Also I’m sorry if I dragged this argument on. I didn’t mean to. Also I don’t think you’re a fake writer. So what if u spelled ‘acrossed’ wrong. Do you know how many times I have accidentally spelled in ‘we’ll’ instead of ‘well’? I’m so sorry if we made your month more stressful. The first month of the year is usually the most stressful for us all so don’t worry you’re not alone. Also you weren’t blaming us for nothing you were just trying to help Dododex, I’m sorry I should have told you this from the beginning. Pls forgive me. I’m sorry. 😢😢😢. So to make amends let’s do the peace treaty and try to be friends. And hopefully that works. Btw….I was just wondering…what books have you written? Bc I LOVE to read and your story ‘the obelisk’ is REALLY REALLY good so I REALLY REALLY want to read your other books.
