Sang, the Prologue for FATF was nice! Already left my thoughts on the Fandom so I’m going to just leave it here.
RelatingHen, Chapter 17 and 18 of JTAC was good! Nothing much else to say, though I’m curious to see how the Diplocaulus will be utilized for the Cunning cave. In my playthroughs of ARK i’ve never used that creature, I think I used Basilos for the underwater caves since they’re resistant to Cnidarias. Then again my stats are pretty boosted. Also nice to see Nesan again. Also loved how the Alpha Megs got stuck on rocks since that happens all the time when I went through underwater caves, the larger creatures constantly spawned inside the walls. Also I wonder where the rest of Sodden’s stats went if he only has 210 HP. In my playthroughs I like having 350 HP, 350 Stamina, 350 Oxygen, and 350 Weight, with a bit in everything else. Also if he’s Level 71 that means he needs like 30 more levels before he can fight the Dragon, so he might have to do some speed leveling without dying. And it seems Sodden is reaching the end of his journey on the Island. I’m interested to see how he ascends with Serenity and without Terad knowing, and I’m also wondering if anyone else will join him on his mission to destroy the Assassin Heart. I’ll be around for Chap 19. Also, apologies about no page for Creatures of Nightmares yet. The wiki pages aren’t regularly maintained, though it isn’t completely inaccurate. Things like word count or chapter count may be outdated of course due to how quickly they release. We update them whenever we can though. I’ll update the stats for CON soon.
Break-it, read the recent chapters of SOR and they were great! Tim sounds like a fun character, and I can’t wait to see more of him, and Bruce’s powers showing up is a sign that his lineage is finally coming to use. So from what I can tell, Element seems to power him and give him a boost in speed and strength, creates a forcefield based off his nervous system, and Element-type blasts that are destructive and explosive in nature, with the trade off being that he passes out afterwards. Anything i’m missing or getting wrong? Anyway, I’ll be waiting for Chapter 21. Oh yeah, and also Chapter 54 and 55 for The Omega Timeline are almost finished. I believe you will be writing Chapter 56, and if you recall the main theme of the arc we’ll all be working on is a zombie apocalypse. If you recall most of The Omega Timeline takes place in the City or the Shadowkeep, but we’re deviating away from that in this arc and instead placing the characters in specific zones around the City that are basically just portions of the different ARKs (The Island, Scorched Earth, etc and even includes the two portions of the Genesis Ship and all five biomes of the Genesis Simulation along with two custom arks made by Wyvernian called Pandora and Wyveria). Now obviously we’re probably not gonna utilize all of this, but we were thinking for you and Nazgul who is also joining TOT, your first chapters could be similar to me, Sunny, and Wyvernian’s (the first few chapters) where they spawn in their home land (in this case, Bruce would spawn on The Island portion and Nazgul’s Alex would spawn on Ragnarok). Maybe there could be a few zombie encounters, and a chapter or two later your character(s) will meet with others. It’ll help the new writers get used to the new Omega Timeline setting and will build it up. You can even write the chapter now if you want, just know that the zombies are more like Corrupted Creatures from extinction that act like and work like zombies. Just don’t release it until 54 and 55 come out, obviously. Though I think it would be helpful to know which characters you’ll be bringing into TOT? Anyway, whenever you get this respond whenever.

Duke, read Chapter 1 of FAF (Fire and Freedom i’m just gonna call it this from now on) and it was really nice! I like the detail that Jasper has a horn, I’m guessing that they’re like mutations (sort of like how some people have blue eyes, green eyes and etc). Only criticism is that Jasper and Elm getting attacked by whatever they were attacked by could have had some improvement, since it sort of just happens. There could be a lot of suspense and action by describing how the fight took place. Of course, there should also be a motive as to why Puffin decided to save the two, especially if they didn’t trust them in the beginning. Also cool to see that it takes place on Ragnarok, though there are a few inconsistencies between the story and the game, since Forest Wyverns and Rhyniognathas dont spawn there. I’m sure you can figure out a reason why they’re there though. Anyway I’ll be waiting around for Chapter 2.
DiploLover, yeah, that’s understandable. Just make sure to prioritize stuff, don’t multitask, and time gets freed up pretty easily. Setting a goal for yourself (for example a chapter a week) can also help accelerate progress, even if it doesn’t feel like you have time by setting a goal you make yourself create time for yourself. Idk, it’s kinda difficult to explain until you experience it yourself. Also yes as Apex explained the Fandom wiki for this website is just a place to chat and stuff, and you can find new stories to read there too. As for other stories to read, Apex already gave a hefty list, but if you want a specific suggestion based off your taste, here’s what I have to suggest.
If you want a creature-based story that’s more adventure-themed and fast-paced, then read the Pandora Chronicles series by Wyvernian. The first book is Heroes of Pandora, the second is Protectors of Pandora, and the series is about a Mesopithecus named Caesar trying to stop a Dragon boss from destroying his home ARK Pandora. You can find it in the All filter, alphabetically, and it starts in Allosaurus.
If you want a creature-based story that’s more focused on horror and the like, read Pandora by Moon (not to be confused with Pandora Chronicles). Its about an abnormal “wyvern” named Pandora who is an outcast in the Wyvern Kingdom, and her sister Bria who has recently become a hunter for the kingdom. You can find it in the Breedables filter, alphabetically, and it starts in Amargasaurus.
If you want a Survivor-based story centered around ARK lore and more specifically the Element corruption on Earth, read Ultimus by PrimalApex. It’s an Extinction-map story based around a man named Andrew who’s had to survive on the dead Earth for as long as he’s known. You can find it in the Aquatics filter, reverse alphabetically, and it starts in Tusoteuthis.
Maybe you want to take a break from ARK fanfiction… in that case, the Riddles of the Phoenixes series by SunnyFox57 is a good pick. It takes place many many years after ARK Survival, and it’s about the Riddle Family, a family derived from royalty with their roots related to the ARK protocol and the like. The story is more romance-based and slice of life. At least in the first two books. You can find it in the All filter, and it starts in Allosaurus.
Maybe you just want a short story that’s sweet and simple. If so, read Queen of Aberration by Sylveevee. It’s about a woman named Syl who is trying her best to survive on the Aberration ARK, but through some circumstances becomes a queen. Very dandy and wacky, contains powers (if that’s what you like) and is not as long as the other stories. You can find it exclusively in Shinehorn.
That’s all, don’t read them all at once, it’s not possible. Just pick whichever you find most interesting, and get immersed. Reading everything too quickly I wouldn’t recommend, it just won’t be as fun. Also, Chapter 24 was really nice! Can’t wait to see how their trip to Carnivore Island goes. And for Chapter 5, basically Astra has a nightmare about Shadow (and wonders if he’s even a direwolf) and basically wakes up to see that she’s a Direwolf now. She went to go hunt fish but there’s Piranhas so she passes out in the water for 2 days. When she wakes up she’s met by Prince and they decide on a name. If you want to view your chapters with ease I highly suggest writing your chapters somewhere down on your phone (not on the Dex) on an app like Docs or Pages, and then just copy pasting them onto the app. Makes things much much easier. If you can’t see any of your chapters go to the DDEX Stories website and check there, you could filter through any creature, not just Achatina.
Sang, I read Chapters 3 and 4 of TFTOA and it was really nice. I can see how Syaoran would fall in love with Kiri easily if he hasn’t had any shoulders to lean on most of his life. Also the tease that Kiri would tell Syaoran’s friends that he liked her but neither of them had friends was hilarious. They became friends fast, that’s for sure.
RelatingHen, Chapters 15 - 16 of JTAC were good stuff. I’m enjoying the plot direction and the tensions between Nudon and Sodden, things have started heating up now that tensions are rising. The fight scenes were also good. The only criticism I had was the dialogue inconsistency for Cordor. He says the Rexes weren’t even that good, but just a few words later says that they’re too powerful. Also if they were too powerful, why didn’t they just kill them off? Cato is clearly very wounded, so it couldn’t be hard especially if they’re caged. Anyway besides that, Chap 15 was good. Chap 16 was also good, I’m enjoying Terad’s freak outs. He’s very possessive over Serenity and the other C Tribe members and even more possessive over Sodden, even though he’s not a part of the tribe. I imagine now that Nameless will go after Nudon though (without their leader) because of what happened. Anyways, I’ll be around for the next one.
Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen, this is your Ark Community News.
Within the last few weeks of posting my last News Broadcast. Wildcard has released a wide variety of content announcements.
With the first being the reveal of the newest community voted creature. The Paleoctopus, the Genesis Part I Ocean Biome Creature. With Wildcard releasing this statement to go with our new Kraken of the depths. “ When exploring the wide underwater biomes, you may notice two very different moods beneath the waves. Sometimes the calm is shattered by a sudden, violent surge—a frantic rush of ink and power that suggests the depths have finally lost their patience. Other times, the seabed gains an extra stone… a coral formation grows a few more “branches”… and the ocean floor becomes suspiciously still.
Disturb it at the wrong moment, and survivors will learn quickly that those eight arms aren’t just for show.‘ end quote. The Paleoctopus will be releasing with Genesis Part I this June.
Last Week, Wildcard then announced a new creature releasing for Astraeos this summer. The Boaratos is a literal Hellfire Pig, having tusks and a mane partially made up of fire. Being nearly twice the size of our current Hellpig, the Daeodon. This will be a walking fiery, tamable judgment for the bext big Astraeos update. This creature was originally created and designed by Dragonheart, the mod developer for creatures like Hapipalus, Desolatitan, Sanguivern and many other of the Overseer Experiment mods (which was what Boaratos was originally).
Lastly for newly announced Ark creatures. The next Ark Additions mod for official release has been announced. Which is also the closest to releasing out of these creatures announced. With the Acrocathosaurus releasing March 31st as an official addition to Ark. Leaving the Concavenator, Brachiosaurus, Deinocheirus, Suchomimus, and Velociraptor (with now the possibility of Shantungosaurus coming to official as well since Garuga achieved all the donations needed for its modded version) left for official releases.
Finally, Ark has also given their first actual reveals to the next two big DLC projects coming to Ark.
With the first one that should be releasing is Bob’s True Tales coming with also Genesis Part I, Tides and Fortune. If this sounds a bit pirate-ish of a theme to you. That is because Tides and Fortune’s theme is that of the scurvy sea dogs. Being a fully pirated theme addition to the new fully map seas being added to Genesis Part I, these seas will be bordering all of the main original map biomes and borders of the original map of Genesis Part I. And will come with semi procedural islands and NPC forts to fight against. Tides and Fortune’s will be adding new ships unique from Ark’s sister game, Atlas, and will also most likely be adding a new creature, new gear, and new skins for your characters/creatures. This will be releasing alongside Ark Genesis Part I and has already announced to be a Paid DLC.
With the final properly announced DLC coming to Ark being ASA: World Creator. That’s right, for those who are too poor to own the Xbox Dev Kit or are simply unable to download the 2 Terabyte Dev Kit on PC. Wildcard has found a way to fix that (kind of?) with ASA: World Creator. You will be able to create (with limited* power) your own modded maps for Ark and be able to share them with the Ark Community. Now, by limited power, I do mean that you will not be able to do anything like add your own assets into your Arks. All assets will either be pre-created assets from other Official Arks, OR, assets made and released onto the mod page. With Wildcard specifically saying quote “ Want to build your own ARK world without learning the Dev Kit? With the in-game ASA World Creator, players on any platform, including consoles, can design their own maps directly within ARK and share them with others via the Mod Browser.
While creators won’t be able to make new art assets or perform the deep construction associated with the full Dev Kit, the system provides powerful tools for building playable worlds. Creators will be able to place and modify actors, create reusable templates, edit their properties, adjust overall world settings, configure volumes and spawners, add mods and skin packs, and implement simple gameplay logic through a brand new scripting layer that combines Lua scripting with a Blueprint API.
Everything shown in the screenshot is part of the in-game interface, including the full GUI and property editing tools!‘ end quote. ASA: World Creator will be releasing sometime in Quarter 3 of 2026, and this will be a Paid DLC.
And while these were the only announced DLCs. Ark does plan to release a new version of Survival of the Fittest being run by Ark Aquatica’s team, Studio Sirens (this will be an Unpaid DLC, I think, though take this with a pinch of salt, as it could be very much a Paid Expansion). And Wildcard has went onto say that there are plans for a Dragon Themed Paid DLC, called Dragontopia, which is expected to release at the end of 2026. With a high chance of several Crossover Mods with other games or IP’s, and possibly new Fantastic Tames coming throughout 2026. And plenty more Paid Content for 2027.
We are also expecting that several free maps, such as Crystal Isles and Lost Island will be potentially releasing this year alongside Genesis Part I and all of these Paid DLCs. And that the five major TLCs will be occurring, with the first expected to be the Areneo TLC.
So expect that 2026 to be a busy year for Ark and full of Ark content!!!!
And that, is your Ark Community News.
This thing is a pain and I hate it, I heard it makes good cementing paste alternative and since I am mostly pacifist and do not like killing stuff I tried to tame one(big mistake) i didn't care about the level so I got a 25 and knocked it out(easy) I gave it berries and it didn't eat them, meat; no I tried everything else from chitin and fish meat and ended up trying to give it literally every consumable thing in my base to see what it eats, than, I gave up and came here to discover that it ONLY eats sweet cakes(tamed or wild) so I pretty much gave up on taming it and locked it in this 1x1 thach prison with my pt(blitz) and it ended up despawning. I wasted a lot of time on this(2 hrs) for nothing but 3 acachina paste.
-Spider2200
One time I tamed one of these little fellas and named it Gary. I always hated gathering cementing paste so Gary was my little savior. It was hard for me to tame him considering I suck at the game, and he would only eat the finest of cakes, but I finally tamed him and brought him home. I set him on wander inside my living room, and the first thing he did was crawl into my campfire and burn to death. I have never tamed a snail since.

Unfortunately, I don’t have any information about who you’re referring to. Heck, I didn’t even know about them, so I can’t help, sorry!
Umm guys? So if I try to use Fandom is says something about how vault tech entry required or something and I can’t use Fandom at all.. did I get banned or something? Is it because I’m not home and I’m not on internet? Do we need another way to chat? I honestly don’t know what to do with this..
—Wyvernian
