Chapter 6
- HGA ttg The Nazgûl
Scowl was not the brightest wyvern, but what he lacked in brain power, he made up for in strength. It was this strength that made him captain of the guard. However, it was not a very fitting position. He was more of a ‘receive orders and then destroy some stuff’ kind of wyvern. It was this lack of strategic planning that often got him into trouble, as he would regularly go to Slither in order to find out what he should do about even the smallest issue.
It is with this lack of thinking that led him to leave the cave without telling his other guards. He approached Slither’s quarters. When he arrived, he announced, “Slither, some of the wyverns would like to join us.” Slither did not come out, but he did answer.
“Then bring them here at once! We will move them in with the rest of our troops.”
“There was another thing that they mentioned.” Scowl said.
“Which was?!” Slither replied sharply, clearly beginning to be irritated with Scowl’s sluggish way of getting around to things.
“They mentioned that some of the other wyverns were planning a…a…a…”
“Spit it out you big lazy carcass!”
“An escape!” Scowl finally said, almost triumphantly as he finally recalled what the wyverns had mentioned.
At this, there was suddenly lots of noise coming from the prison area. “You fool!” Slither said as he flew off to the cave. Scowl followed, unsure of why, in what seemed to him a moment of glory, Slither would call him a fool.

Chapter 1
A blue egg laid in a nest on the edge of a small cliff, the egg being visible to anyone. A lightning wyvern swopped down, grabbing the egg, placing it in its nest. The wyvern looked curiously at the egg. The wyvern grabbed the egg once again flying towards a cliff, where the alpha wyvern was sleeping.
“Hey! Could you do a group call? I need to announce something!” The wyvern asked the alpha.
“What will you announce?” The alpha replied.
“This stray egg needing a parent!” The wyvern replied. The alpha did a colony call, ordering all wyverns in the trench to come to the cliff.
“I need to announce this stray egg, needing a parent! Anyone feel like taking it in?” The alpha said. Every wyvern at the sight flied away. The alpha looked to the lightning wyvern who had brought the egg.
“Then I guess it’s yours!”
The wyvern walked slowly, grabbing the egg in her mouth.
“Good luck!” The alpha said before falling asleep.
The lightning wyvern flew towards her nest, now needing to raise a baby wyvern… alone.

I can’t believe Shard wouldn’t let me go with them!! I mean c’mon! I’m perfectly capable of handling myself:(! Now I have to do the boring work, hunting, making new nests, all the work that the younger Wyverns should be doing. Hmm, maybe that Ovis will do.. mmm no I’ll just take them both back.
Alright almost back, just a little further- Splash passes a grassy hillock and dives down a narrow crack- ahh home sweet home-caverns open up in all directions, springs bubble on the floor, soft lacy grass springs up in between, silky buttery flowers of all colors are adorned and strung together throughout the whole cavern, perches/dens were dug up and down the walls crowded with more flowers and atop each one there was a luxurious quiet cascade of water pouring down gently into a pool. Radiant glowing mushrooms were stuffed in little nooks, in the springs they were fastened to the bottom by weavings- Alright just gotta.... * a peice if rock falls to the ground somewhere down the left cavern *
“ What was that?!” A Wyvern calls out from Splashes left.
“ Everyone stay calm!” Cries out a Alpha Wyvern.
* There’s a sharp crack, a Wyvern peaking out from its den falls to the ground *
“ EVERYONE OUT NOW, “ Commands Splashes leader, “ MALICE BUY US TIME THEN GET YOURSELF OU-“ She collapses to the ground...

When scorched earth got added to acended i was so exited because the wyvern is my favorite creature. So as soon as i could i stole an egg and it was a level 180 lighting. And then after it raised i thought why dont i go grab more...
Long story short i now have 2 preserving bins full of eggs and around 10 adults and 20 babies in my base. Its gotten so bad i can barely walk around my base anymore.

Bloodstaine was feeling down. She didn't want to pack up, but Astatine told her to. "Remind me, why are we leaving?" Amber asked. "To find Bob." Astatine said in his rough voice. Emerald fell upon them out of exhaustion, and woke up soon after. He shuffled back, terrified, and with ripped wings. "W-who a-are you?" He barely managed to stutter. "Don't worry. We can help," was Amber's reply. "I need to leave. It's chasing me." A dark shadow in the shape of a dragon appeared. "It's already too late. There's no time left."

I slowly woke up and saw a 27ft mermaid monster one look at its scale was good enough to tell what it was, “my name is aizetsu yours?” The mermaid monster asked, I answered several moments later “J-Junior” I answered, “w-why didn’t you kill me but instead protected me?” I asked sacredly “Because I felt like it” answered aizetsu, “I’ll get going see you soon I guess” I said flying off “see you” aizetsu said swimming back into the ocean, as I landed back I hung out with my family near the lava river, I kept wondering why did the mermaid monster aizetsu protect me not kill me and eat me aren’t all of them bad?

“Junior honey be careful out there and remember to kill anyway aquatic creatures you encounter okay?” Juniors mom said “I know mom don’t have to remind me a million times” I said, and so I set off being a fire wyvern almost everything avoids you or fears you but I have to be careful because I’m still young, I landed on the beach were wyvern commonly sun bathe on the super hot rocks with the cool winds fix perfectly together I laid my myself on the rocks falling asleep put I felt something around me as I slowly woke up I immediately knew what it was.

"Wait, you knew a man named Bob?" Bloodstaine asked Astatine. "Yes. And?" He asked. "I know...knew...him. He was my friend and he helped me survive until he died. His house is in the tropics. Sunami, Spark and Emerald landed and they all talked for hours. Astatine stood out while they talked, actually. "We're going to Bob's house." He said.

Emerald's wing was torn. He ran as fast as he could. A large...thing...was after him. It was just a shadow of a Wyvern, it spat blood, and was bigger than any Wyvern he had ever seen. It seemed like it was targeting him and was ignoring all other animals. Its glowing red and brown eyes glistened like dried blood. Its crystals glowed white even though they were black in the night. Emerald lost his pain in a rush of adreniline, allowing him to blast up into the air and shoot a missile of fire back at the silhouette.

He evaporated into light, and he was surrounded by more water and crystals than he had ever seen before.

The dragon had one eye and he said in a rough voice, "Astatine."

I'm just really hungry right now. I could eat a Basilisk!", Bloodstaine said. They heard the screeching again. They flew upwards with a reverse dive into the air. They snuck up on Copper and slashed his neck before slamming him into the ground. "What...do you...want?", he gasped. "Answers," Bloodstaine said coldly, whilst Amber said "No more trouble." "Answers and no more trouble?" He said after Bloodstaine released her grip on his neck. "I can help you with that. Whaddya want answers to?" "What are you, and where are you from?", Bloodstaine asked with a calculating glare and a commanding tone. Copper smiled and squinted his eyes. "A desert."

Scorched Earth: Day 28: The Last Day
Day 135 of the Journey
The sun began to rise on the last day of Scorched Earth. Its rays of light began to flow across the Ark, encasing the Ark in light and sweeping away the darkness. This signaled the beginning of the day Sodden and his friends would end their journey on Scorched Earth and ascend to the last Ark before they returned to the Island. This was the day they were going to Aberration. The survivors had just begun to awaken inside of their stone base. Sodden sat up and stretched, yawned as he rubbed his eyes, and Rod, Dorack, and Serenity began to move. Nal yawned loudly as she sat up too. “Guys… I remembered something. It’s… it’s not that good… but… I remember Jerboa quickly throwing a cryopod into the terminal of the obelisk. He also showed me Tundra. But I never saw her again after that. I do remember… I don’t know.” Dorack said weakly. He stretched and stood up, rubbing his eyes, then walked out of the room. Everyone stretched as they stood up, then followed Dorack. Nal ran to Dorack, taking a big sigh and yawning, and tapped his shoulder.
“You are getting memories back?” Nal asked. Dorack sighed and nodded.
“Yeah, I just can’t stop thinking about it.” Dorack said. The five survivors walked to the kitchen, stretching a little more, then sat down on the big table near the dino pen door. Sodden got up and walked to the fridge that sat just across the room, and took out a pile of 15 cooked meat, then some water jars, then he lifted his foot and kicked the door shut then walked back to the table, gave three meat to everyone and a water jar, and sitting back down at the table.
As they ate, Serenity barely ate any of the meat. She would occasionally take small bites out of a piece of her cooked meat.
“Dude, something wrong? That meat’ll spoil soon.” Sodden said, staring at Serenity, worried. Serenity did not respond. She just looked down at her meat, her eyes pointing at her implant.
“Yeah, we should bring our items to Aberration. It’s fine.” Serenity said softly. Dorack tilted his head, looking at Sodden. “Okay, so… should we just go get the last of our supplies? We have like 2 more saddles to upgrade. We just need to get more metal.” Dorack said.
“Yeah, I guess.” Nal said. Rod looked at Serenity deeply. As if he was happy they were bringing their items.
“I agree. We should bring our stuff.” Rod said. He stood up and walked to the front door.
“We have one more creature here to kill. The Oasisaur. I think to kill that, we need to use our wyvern. I have an idea. Me and Dorack will take the wyvern out to find an Oasisaur. Nal and Serenity will help Rod collect the last bits of metal for the last of the saddles. We can gather up at the dunes this afternoon and kill deathworms. I still have 2 levels to go. Nal’s Level 97 right now, and Dorack’s Level 99. Rod’s already at 101, so we still have a little bit of grinding left to do.” Sodden suggested.
“That’s a good plan. Though I’m pretty sure you only need Level 95 to do the alpha fight.” Serenity said.
“Oh, okay then. Well, let’s get started, shall we?” Sodden said, nodding his head slowly. Everyone nodded and stood up from the chair. Dorack walked into the dino pen and put the lightning wyvern into a cryopod, then he walked out of the pen and towards the front of the base. Everyone walked to the door and walked out of it, met up at the front porch. Dorack held the cryopod with the wyvern in his hand. Nal then took a cryopod out of her bag, and threw it at the ground, releasing an Argy. Rod then threw a cryopod at the ground, releasing an Anky, then he got on.
“Okay, pick me up now!” Rod shouted. Nal nodded, then she and Serenity got on the Argy, then the Argy lifted its feet and began to flap its wings as it flew towards Rod’s Anky, then the Argy swung its talons to pinch the Anky and lift it up off the ground. Rod held the saddle tightly. Dorack then threw his cryopod at the ground, releasing the Wyvern, then Sodden and Dorack got on. “Hey, Bronte. How you doing?” Dorack asked. The wyvern growled softly. Then the wyvern lifted its legs, flapping its wings as it flew off the ground. The Argy flew towards the mountains while the wyvern took off for the dunes.

Day 93 of ARKtic
7 hours before Nal and Dorack’s escape
“Homeward Bound”
7:30 AM. The sun was rising above the horizon, all darkness being swept away. The sun engulfed the Ark in its rays of light. Nal, Dorack, and Jerboa lay asleep in their beds, inside the base near the gray obelisk. Nal began to move her body, slowly opening her eyes. Dorack lay on the bed near her, and Jerboa was sleeping on a bed across the room. Dorack moved around, and began to sit up. He opened his eyes slowly, yawning. He stretched his arms, then Nal sat up and stretched. Nal rubbed her eyes and got up, yawning. Jerboa began to wake up too. He sat up, and Dorack walked to the door, and Nal did too. Jerboa rubbed his eyes with his forearm then stood up, walking towards Dorack.
“So… what’re we doing today?” Jerboa moaned.
“We’re waiting news on Nudon. We are waiting for them to finish collecting every resource they need. Then we need to send the warp signal using the white obelisk, because that’s the main obelisks. It won’t work with the gray obelisk, it’s not powerful enough. But it can hold the warp path, so we will send it there. The white is for the signals. The gray is for the warp. Hopefully soon, we hear something. Once they tell us, we’ll go to Iceberg. We could be going home today.” Dorack said. Nal chuckled softly.
“Yeah. Many things have happened in the past 3 months. Both good… and bad. Living life in the frozen Arctic Ark… I think what we could call this… ARKtic. As in Arctic Ark. So… yeah.” Nal said.
“That’s a cool name. Are we leaving now?” Jerboa said. Dorack shook his head.
“It’s extremely cold on the mountain even during the day. Even with our fur, we’d probably be forced to leave after like 2-4 hours. Remember the creatures that live there?” He responded. Jerboa nodded softly.
“That makes sense. Well, let’s just wait, shall we?” He asked. The others nodded, then the three survivors walked to the kitchen downstairs. They walked down the stairs towards a table that sat near the right corner of the kitchen room, and they sat down at the sides, and Dorack walked to the fridge just across the room to get some cooked prime meat out of the fridge, then brought it to everyone, along with giving them a water bottle. He gave 3 meat pieces to each person, and one water bottle. They began to eat through their food for the next few minutes.
After around 10 minutes, the three survivors walked out of the front door. Nal was holding a flare gun, loaded with a flare, in her hand. So was Jerboa and Dorack. “Okay, guys. Say it with me. I do this every morning here. Done it since Day 5, when we were able to get flare guns. Okay… lift your flares.” Dorack said. The survivors raised their arms into the air, pointing their flares at the sky. Nal mouthed a countdown, then the three survivors pulled the triggers, causing the flare to shoot out of the guns, soaring upwards, then exploding.
“So begins…” Dorack said.
“Day 93 of ARKtic…” Nal said.
“Our final day on this Ark.” Jerboa said.

3 hours before SE Ascension…
Sodden and Dorack sat on their wyvern, sweating a little. They had been flying for over an hour. They were flying across the dunes, scanning the place for an Oasisaur. They held canteens in their hands, drinking the water from them. The wyvern growled softly as it flapped its wings across the sky, gliding through the air. It then spied a large object in the distance. It had some weird legs on the bottom, and looked like an oasis on its top, and a large body it had too. It then retracted its legs and began to float across the sand.
“There it is.” Sodden said. He held a spyglass in his right hand, and was looking through it. He put the spyglass back in his bag then the wyvern roared as it flew downwards. It flew towards the Oasisaur. Then when they approached it, it had its back turned to the Oasisaur.
“Hopefully a Level 143 100% imprinted wyvern can handle this thing.” Sodden said.
“Over 400% melee? Yeah, it’s all good as long as we’re in the air.” Dorack said. They led the wyvern closer to the dino until the wyvern was hovering over the Oasisaur, then the wyvern pointed its head downwards and roared loudly as it let out a beam of lightning. It shot down towards the oasisaur, cracking the top shell of the dino, and the Oasisaur screeched and floated north. The wyvern followed, launching lasers at the Oasisaur as it tried to escape.
Over the course of 10 minutes, the wyvern continued to attack the Oasisaur, then while they did this, Sodden and Dorack heard a ding and looked at their implants. They saw a message from Nal. She, Serenity, and Rod had collected all the metal they needed, so once they were done smelting the metal, which they almost were, they could upgrade the last of the saddles and go fight the Manticore. Sodden smiled as he nodded softly.
“That’s very good.” Dorack said. The two survivors held tightly onto the wyvern’s scales as the wyvern shook softly, roaring loudly as it kept launching beams of lightning at the Oasisaur. It had a large hole through the center of its body and was bleeding out fast. The Oasisaur was slowing down, then its legs clicked as the body began to lose its momentum. It then descended down to the ground, and hit the ground hard, causing the ground to rumble a bit.
“Let’s go! That’s the last Scorched Earth creature.” Sodden said. Dorack nodded. Then they set out to go back to the base.
1 hour before SE Ascension…
The five survivors met up at the base. Dorack and Sodden had just arrived back at the base. Serenity, Nal and Rod were in the dino pen, putting the last of the saddles on the Rexes. The Rexes were decently leveled due to their grinding, so the Rexes were all set. Sodden was done with his creatures, so everyone was ready to go. Sodden and Dorack hopped off the Wyvern and walked to the dino pen, then they opened the gates. Serenity had finished putting the last saddle on the last Rex, then she jumped down from the Rex. Nal walked to Dorack just then. “The Rexes are ready. Well, are we ready?” Nal asked. Sodden and Dorack nodded.
“I have the shotgun. I’ll cryopod the Rexes.” Dorack said. He walked into the gate with Sodden, then Sodden took 12 empty cryopods out of his bag, then handed them all to Dorack. Dorack put each and every one of the Rex in a cryopod. Sodden then walked to the back of the pen, seeing his raptor and Alpha Raptor. It was impossible to transfer alphas to Aberration since they’d die immediately to the radiation. So the alpha raptor had to stay. Any flyers transferred to Aberration would die, so Bronte had to stay. The morellatops, they had to stay. Unless the creature spawned in Aberration, they’d die if they were transported there. Sodden walked to Reaper, who growled softly, walking around Sodden and sniffing his bag. Sodden petted her head softly. “Of course you’re coming. I want you to survive all the way to King Titan, okay?” Sodden said. Reaper growled and looked up. She screeched loudly. She jumped a little bit and licked Sodden, who wiped off his face. “Okay, yeah, thanks.” Sodden said with a laugh. Sodden then took a cryopod out of his bag. “See you in Aberration, buddy.” Sodden said. He embraced his raptor, and the raptor put her head on Sodden’s shoulder. Then Sodden put the cryopod to Reaper’s saddle, and her essence flowed into the cryopod, then the cryopod closed shut and the raptor was not there anymore. She was inside the cryopod. Sodden chuckled softly and turned to the rest of his creatures. “You all have to stay. I’m sorry. But… the way Aberration is… it’s too unstable for any creatures invasive to Aberration. You’ll die. I’ll cryopod you guys and put you in our cryofridge. You’ll be fine for good. Well, for half an year at least.” Sodden said. The creatures murmured sadly. Sodden then took out multiple cryopods, and put his alpha raptor, his Morellatopses, and his jerboa into the cryopods. He walked into the base towards the cryofridge, which sat at the end of the forge room. He walked to the cryofridge, opened it, and put all the cryopods except Reaper’s into the fridge. He closed the fridge then walked out of the base’s front door, where Serenity and the others stood, next to an Argy. “Ready to go?” Serenity asked.
“Yes. Time to go to Aberration.” Sodden said.
“Don’t worry. I’ll be fine. Hopefully.” Serenity said. Sodden smiled.
“Y’know… I’m kinda thinking you two kinda… like-like each…” Dorack said, then Sodden interrupted.
“Not the time, bro!” Sodden shouted. Then he walked to Bronte, who sat with the 2 Argies set out. Sodden got on the Wyvern, Rod and Dorack got onto one of the Argies, Serenity and Nal got onto the other, and they all, with their supplies in hand and tributes, set out for the green obelisk for the Manticore Showdown.

ARKtic Day 93…
4 hours, 10 minutes before Nal and Dorack’s escape…
The weirdly-shaped gem flashed brightly inside of Nal’s bag. The white obelisk in the distance shimmered brightly. Nal, Dorack, and Jerboa had their bags packed with supplies, food, armor, and weapons. They sat on Tundra, eager to go. They had gotten the message that Nudon had sent the signal. So the survivors were ready to activate the warp portal, that would take a few hours to charge up since it was connecting to an ascension path. They set out for Iceberg, and were galloping across the snow, eager to go home.
2 hours, 15 minutes before Nal and Dorack’s escape…
The three survivors sat on Tundra, running up and over rocks, up the path on the mountain, and approached the peak. “You know, I have not seen a single creature on this mountain today. I guess that’s a good thing, but it’s just weird.” Dorack said. Nal nodded.
“Yeah, I don’t know why.” Nal said. They heard soft footsteps just then. “What the heck? Ah, probably a mammoth.” Jerboa said.
“Yeah. Maybe.” Nal said softly. They approached the underpass that led to the obelisk terminal, and heard louder footsteps. “That sounds more like a Rex.” Dorack said. “Yeah…” Nal said.
“Okay, let’s stop and check just to be safe.” Dorack said. Then they parked Tundra a few meters from the underpass and jumped off the wolf, then walked slowly to the rock. Nal turned her head around to look at the obelisk. She saw nothing at first.
“Okay I think…” Nal said, then she gasped loudly and turned back around, gasping quietly. “What? What’d you…” Dorack said.
“We need to go. Now.” Nal said.
“We can’t go yet. We didn’t start the charge.” Dorack said.
“No, you don’t understand…” Nal gasped, her heart pumping quickly with terror. Dorack sighed and turned his head to look at the obelisk terminal. Dorack gasped loudly. “Oh, no. I know why there’s nothing on the mountain.” Dorack said. Then they heard fast footsteps near the path. Some purlovias ran past the survivors. Nal screamed and jumped against a rock, and Dorack held her hand. “No. Don’t worry about the purlovias. They’re running away.” Dorack said. He turned to the path down the mountain to see something horrifying.
“Worry about what they’re running away from!!” Dorack yelled. It roared loudly as it stormed over to the underpass. Everyone screamed and ran towards the obelisk terminal. Tundra ran with Nal and Dorack too. A Feathered Giganotosaurus roared loudly as it ran at the tall rocks, but it was so big it couldn’t get past the rocks. It bit the rocks hard, cracking them. Nal gasped.
“Oh, no.” Nal said. “Quick, activate the signal!” Dorack yelled. Jerboa hit a red button on the terminal device, which launched a white-silver beam of light upwards, going towards The Island.
In a minute, the terminal dinged. The survivors gasped. The terminal had begun charging. 2 hours. It would take it 2 hours. That’s how long it took to get back to their base from the mountain. They then shouted as they heard a loud shattering noise. The rocks broke apart and fell to the ground. The Giga roared loudly. The survivors screamed as they jumped onto Tundra. Tundra roared loudly and lunged forward towards where the Giga broke the rocks. The Gigs lifted its foot, which came down, but missed Tundra’s tail just barely. The Giga then began running for Dorack, Nal, and Jerboa. Nal was gasping quickly, her heart pumping quickly and her hand on her chest. Nal’s head pointed down, then she heard a loud roar and screamed as she looked back. The Giga was catching up. “We have to get it stuck on rocks!” Dorack yelled. Then Tundra circled a rock and ran towards the base of the mountain, and the rocks that stuck out from the mountain were causing the Feathered Giga to get slowed down. It bit the rocks, which broke them quickly.
After 10 minutes of running, the group got to the bottom of the mountain. They looked back, and hoped the Giga was not chasing after them.
“Oh, my god.” Nal said softly, with fear in her eyes. Her heart was still beating fast. Dorack sweated a little bit, and Jerboa was gasping quietly.
“Let’s just get back. We’re still alive, and that’s all that matters.” Dorack said. Nal and Jerboa nodded in agreement, and they kept running towards the gray obelisk, which pulsated slightly.

20 minutes before SE Ascension…
The five survivors held some cryopods. They threw out some Rexes, 19 of them, exactly, and put them in a circle that surrounded the terminal of the green obelisk. Then Dorack stood at the back of the circle and threw a Yutyrannus out of one of his cryopods. Sodden ran to it and got on, then Dorack got on one of the Rexes, along with Serenity and Rod. Nal stood at the obelisk terminal device. She then put the Artifact of the Crag, Destroyer, and Gatekeeper, the 20 lightning wyvern talons, 20 fire wyvern talons, and 20 poison wyvern talons inside the terminal device. Then she pressed the Alpha Manticore button, and the teleportation began.
“Warning. Teleporting to Alpha Manticore in 20 seconds!” The terminal device said in a computerized voice.
“Okay, so I have split the rexes into 3 groups. Each group had 6, well, except for one, which has 7. The group of 7 will handle the minions. The rest of the Rexes will handle the manticore. I will sit on the Yuty and energize the creatures. Okay, everyone ready?” Sodden asked. Everyone shouted, “Yeah!”
“10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1… Transportation initiated.” Then a red dome appeared around everyone, and spun faster and faster until it shrunk, and compressed everyone into a ball of energy, and it flew upwards then southeast. In the center of the map was an arena on the ground, rocks towering above it, a big rock in the center, and as the red ball descended towards the arena, a white forcefield formed around the arena. The red ball hit the terminal device that lay on the bottom of the arena, just south of the big rock, then expanded to reveal the Rexes and the survivors that were on them. Then something roared loudly as it descended from the top of the center rock. The Manticore. It unfolded its wings and leaped off the rock and flew down to the Rexes. The Rexes roared loudly and ran out of the path of the Manticore. The Manticore struck the terminal, then some of the Rexes ran at it and bit its wings and tail, then the Manticore roared loudly. It lifted its tail stinger and hit a Rex with it, causing the Rex to roar in pain. The Rexes kept biting, though. Three of the Rexes bit the Manticore’s wings, two of the Rexes biting the tail. They were trying to keep it on the ground, but then it roared loudly, and some rocks cracked and exploded from behind the Rex army. Then the ground rumbled.
“The minions are spawning! Send Group 3 down now!” Sodden said. His Yuty roared loudly, energizing the Rexes and creating a yellow ring around their backs. Dorack whistled for the group and they turned around to face three rock elementals and a deathworm roaring as they ran towards them. The Rexes roared loudly and ran down the rocks and small cliff to start attacking the rock elementals. The rock golems roared and took rocks out of the ground, and as a rex opened its mouth to bite the golem, the golem lifted the rock and smashed it into the rex’s jaw, immediately dislocating it and causing the rex to roar in pain as it stumbled over. Then another Rex grabbed the golem with its mouth and began cracking it. The manticore roared and launched a wave of fire across the Rexes attacking it. The rexes roared in pain as the flames broke apart their legs. But the saddles were keeping them up. The Rexes were tearing down the manticore, and the Manticore then roared a large acid ball, which hit a Rex and exploded, and its acid hit 3 more Rexes. It burned their skin a little and pushed them back. The Manticore then lifted its legs and began flying around the place. “Okay, the manticore is out. It has 110K HP left. Get the golems!” Sodden said. His Yuty roared loudly to reenergize the Rexes. Then the whole Rex army charged towards the golems, which were throwing rocks to smash the rexes’ legs. There were small golems hurting the Rexes too. So many of them. The deathworms came. They rose from the ground, around 3 of them, and while the Rexes were breaking the golems, a deathworm jerked forward and crunched a Rex’s leg, and the Rex screeched in pain. Sodden whistled group 3 to attack the worms, then the Manticore roared and launched another acid ball at the Rexes, but the saddles were keeping the Rexes safe from going unconscious. The worms were damaging the saddles badly, but the Rexes were decimating the worms.
After a few minutes, the Manticore landed again.
“It’s landed! Groups 1 and 2, attack!” Sodden shoutued. He whistled for both groups to run at and attack the Manticore just across the arena. A Rex leaped to pinch its wing, and the Manticore roared in anger as it roared another wave of fire. The Rexes dodged it and began to surround the Manticore, ripping its wings up and tearing apart its tail. It swung its tail again to knock back the Rexes. Then it exhaled and screeched loudly, summoning more deathworms and rock golems. The rock elementals were beginning to outnumber the 7 Rexes fighting them. “Just go all in and make sure the Manticore dies!” Sodden said. His Yuty roared loudly again, reenergizing the Rexes, then it ran towards the Manticore, and Sodden took out a shotgun, and so did the other survivors. They began to shoot down the Manticore with their shotguns at a safe distance on the Rexes. They were doing significant damage to the Manticore. For minutes, the Manticore sat, unable to fly, but doing major damage to everyone. Its acid balls burned the Rexes bad, the fire did damage..
The Manticore was almost dead. 20K HP. 16K HP. 12K. 8K. 5K. 3K. 1K. Then suddenly…
The Manticore let out one last roar and fell to the ground, its legs collapsing with it. It was dead. Blood poured out of its mane and back, its tail and wings torn, its legs broken. Sodden shouted in excitement, and everyone cheered.
“Manticore has been defeated! Ascension off this Ark in 120 seconds!”
“We’ve done it.” Sodden said. “We’re going to Aberration.” Dorack said. Then the survivors put all their Rexes in some cryopods, along with the Yuty. The minions had despawned after the Manticore fight. Then everyone ran to the flashing terminal, and saw a big dodecagon 3D shape. It glowed brightly, and was white-blue everywhere, glowing yellow. Everyone put all their items except the Rex and Yuty cryopods into the terminal. The cryopods will immediately be transported to its correct storage. Sodden nodded softly. “Let’s go! Ascension once again!” Dorack yelled. The obelisks flashed brightly, pulsating.
Gitez sat outside of his base with his friends Sandmaster and Bob, looking up at the glowing obelisk and center of the map. “They did it. Good luck at Aberration, guys.” Gitez said. Everyone saluted to them. The obelisk shimmered and then flashed.
“56, 55, 54, 53, 52, 51, 50, 49, 48, 47, 46, 45, 44, 43, 42…” The terminal device generated some white mist. The mist wrapped around the entire arena, and large beams of light shot out from the obelisk, hitting the arena. The forcefield rumbled then the terminal created a large path that went upwards to the forcefield of Scorched Earth. Everyone put their implants inside of the dodecagon. This would scan them and this would help them keep all their levels when they ascended.
“We’re taking everything with us. This is it. The end of Scoorched Earth. Time for Aberration.” Sodden said. Serenity nodded.
“30, 29, 28, 27…”
“Serenity… were you thinking of the Ravage earlier today?” Sodden asked as he turned to Serenity. Serenity turned to Sodden and took his hand.
“Yeah. I was. I wish I could say what really happened there… but it’s too dangerous around Rod.” Serenity whispered. Sodden gasped softly. “Wha…” He asked.
“Sodden… they forced me to hide this. They said if I ever revealed this to anyone, they’d hunt me down. Do not tell anyone… I know Rod’s guilty. I know he got me impregnated. I know Rod did this. His play… it was a trick.” Serenity said. Sodden nodded softly. He walked closer and held Serenity’s hand. “I will keep it hidden, don’t worry. Whatever it takes to protect us.” Sodden whispered. Serenity nodded, and they put their heads against each others’.
“5, 4, 3, 2, 1… Good luck on the next Ark.”

8 minutes before Nal and Dorack’s escape…
Nal, Dorack and Jerboa had arrived back at the gray obelisk, where the path was being generated. The obelisk glowed brightly, and pulsated too. It shimmered as the humming grew louder. A path went downwards towards the terminal, and was almost done. Nal, Dorack, and Jerboa sat with Tundra on a rock. After 4 minutes, they heard snuffing.
“Wha…” Dorack said. Then a jaw rose from the trees, making a loud roar. The wolf screamed and leaped forward, and the Feathered Giga missed the tail barely, but it ran over the rock, and kicked the wolf, throwing all the survivors off. Dorack fell into a bush and Jerboa hit the walls of the base. Nal fell over and ran to a rock, gasping in fear. She was terrified. The Giga came closer, and Nal screamed as she ran to another rock to hide. The Giga was coming. She frantically ran through the forest, screaming. She had to do something. She hid behind rocks, but could not see the Giga. It was lingering somewhere in the trees. Nal hid behind a rock, gasping quickly. Her heart was beating insanely fast, her hand on her chest. As she gasped in terror, whimpering, she heard guttural growling behind the rock. She turned her head away as the Feathered Giga bit the rock and crushed it, pushing Nal off. Nal hit the ground on her back, and she slowly backed away as the Giga towered over her, growling deeply. “No… no, please, please… no…” Nal whimpered, then she let out a gasp of pain as the Giga put a foot on her body. It pinned her down to the ground. She felt the claws tapping on her neck and shoulders, the sharp back of the claw on her legs, then the Giga moved her head downwards. Nal started crying as she tried to get out. “No… please…” Nal whimpered. The Giga’s teeth pointed at her shoulder. As if Death was staring straight into her eyes. Nal’s arm hairs stood up and the Giga opened its mouth quickly, jerked its head slightly downwards, then bit into Nal’s shoulder and part of her chest. She screamed loudly, in the highest pitch, as her eye pupils shrunk in terror. Then the Giga let go of her body, then something hit the Feathered Giga hard. Rexy shoved the Feathered Giga off and quickly grabbed a critically wounded Nal and ran towards the gray obelisk. Then when she approached it, the Giga ran at Rexy and leaped forward, crushing her body and threw the Rex at the obelisk. It hit Dorack on the head hard, immediately cracking his skull and knocking him out instantly. Nal was dropped on the ground on her back. She was breathing badly, a large crack inside her chest and shoulder, and there was strange purple ooze coming out of it. Poison. The Feathered Giga had an extremely potent venom. Nal was paralyzed and almost unconscious. Then she heard slight yelling. Jerboa got Tundra into a cryopod and the Feathered Giga ran in the opposite direction as a group of 15 people came out down from the warp path. They ran to Nal and Dorack, picked them up, put bandages on their wounds, and carried them towards the obelisk.
“What happened?” A voice said softly.
“Feathered Giga… attacked…” Someone said. Nal could hear almost nothing. She was falling unconscious. The poison was spreading. Fast. If they didn’t stop it, she’d die along with Dorack. Her vision was super foggy, then it all went black as they all entered the warp path.

Chapter one: Running.
Running. Running.... and running some more...
My village .....destroyed, my home, burnt down.
All because of them.
The Wyvern Riders.
They came into town and demanded that the town surrender and become their slaves. We refused, and they burnt it all down... I was the only survivor. I couldn't live anywhere, with those devils on my tail. All the towns turned me away, on the point The wyvern riders were hunting for me. I needed to keep running. The only thing I had from the village was my pet jerboa, specifically trained for sensing if the wyverns were close.
Tiny began digging into the ground, meaning they found my little cave. I quickly jumped into a hole, bringing tiny in as one of them walked in. He spotted me, but didn't call thealarm..... instead, he said loudly "She isn't here, we should call off the hunt. It's been a year." The others started agreeing, and they took a vote.
