Let me just say, the only flyers that can easily outrun and out tank one of these is another wyvern. When you run, do NOT fly straight ahead. They are faster and stronger than you and don’t run out of stamina. I highly suggest stealing any wyvern egg that you can find, and then use that wyvern to go egg hunting instead.

Use a ptero or moth with lvls pumped into speed, stam and health and use that to at least get you to an egg.

Having your bird die over a body of water, or even dismounting into the water can be a potential lifesaver, too.

Sometimes getting the egg is not the problem. I say you land with your mount were its safe. I left my mount for 1 sec and there was a pack of raptors and microraptors. No explanation needed

I can only speak for PS4 but if you're playing on a single player world (specifically Ragnarok in my case) and you have the bug where wyverns aren't spawning or the nests aren't spawning, use " admincheat destroywilddinos " and wait about 1 in game day, maybe 2, then check they wyverns to see if they spawned and if the nests spawned, worked for me.

PS. If you play single player, you should probably just host a non dedicated server and put a lock on it. In my experience I've never really had problems like they wyverns not spawning or their nests not spawning.

If you run into a poison wyvern and don’t have a gas mask... RUNNNNNNN. It will eat you like you’re a piece of delicious cake.

I've spent enough time around why runs in ark tamed or wild to know that these things are overpowered they can be as tall as four players at the normal height there are four kinds of normal wyverns ice, fire lightning, and poison

Fire acts like a flamethrower ice Activa flamethrower if something wasn't too right about it. Let's just say the ice wyverns attack or at least main attack is to shoot out an icy flamethrower. Lightning wyvern to shoot I will beam of electricity that's does a lot of damage. Then we have poison wyverns well they have the side fins of a dilophosaurus and from what I've seen when you look closer at them they always have their mouth open and if you look inside and look directly at its tongue it looks a bit like a snake's tongue.

If using an argie fly is small circles so it doesn’t shoot at you, this way you can bite it and it will only bite you.

G'day. Just a quick tip from me. I find going in hard and fast with an Argentavis, hitting and killing the first Wyvern I see, then moving on to the next will clear you a save area to "borrow" some eggs. I just flew out with 7 eggs total. Best to hit them before they hit you. Carry plenty of raw meat to heal your ride and you'll be fine.

With good lighning one you can easily clean nests , and use their eggs for best kibbles. Easiest way to get them for me

Lead wyverns out of trenches on mobile there is an over spawn on rag, so many spawn that nests can be filled and some wyverns don’t get to lay eggs. I like to lead them to a diplo or a bronto, but in reality you can lead them to rhinos and mammoths, I have noticed that rhinos entertain wyverns the most as they have literally had an entire 1 minute showdown with a max level lightning wyvern. Most creatures die with in the first few seconds to the wyvern, which is why I say go for rhinos, there is also the option of going to a cave next to the trench bridge. The bridge is a natural one and the cave is only accessible through a climbing creature or a medium to small flier. I can’t guarantee a wyvern won’t fit in there, but the entrance does seem a bit too small. This cave is large with no artifact, it has metal and salt, as well as obsidian and two entrances. The second entrance is quite close to the ground and it usually a wyvern sits outside, the cave is spacious so if the entrance isn’t enough to get the wyvern stuck you can build a gate trap.

( FJORDUR MAP ) i saw 3 eggs in one trench, and since one was closest to me i grabbed it and to my luck it a 175. I ran back to base thinking what someone said that " if you cryo it up it will change its choice " BAD IDEA. They wont eat if you wont give it milk. they will stare and die. This happened once and now i needa run back to the trench for me to get a heart attack ( i got 198 heartbeats per min, dont know the initials when i got the 175) UGH, Please! I dont mean this offensive, it just didnt work for me. Atleast i know what boss to fight. I WAS JUST GONNA FIGHT BROODMOTHER ( and i didnt even fight beyla yet ) so yeah. Sorry if you see this and think " oh this persons lying" its not even a opinion, its just a fact so yeah.

In fjordur there are 4 different wyvern trenches for each type of wyvern. Fire is near the volcano, poison is in north vannaland, ice is in the ice dimension and lightnings in Asgard
